September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

Thanks for the happy dance, and here's another:

This forum has gotten me completely obsessed with Disney! I feel like I eat, sleep, and drink Disney now. I am pretty sure I am driving my DH bananas!!!! We are taking our firs trip to WDW September 7th through September 14th, and I can't stinkin wait! We will be staying at All Stars Music.

OK SO I got up this morning and was checking on my airfare only to notice that they had changed my flight . however now we leave on Oct 2nd with no charge and we are now flying out Sun morning instead of leaving Sat afternoon!!!Yeah!!!! Well that's good cause I needed another ADR....yeah us anoter day in Disney. Nice thing is I had a dinner ADR to pay out of pocket but adding the day covers that ADR so basically a pay for a nt and get meal for free!!!

All right, Michelle, now I'm jealous! Actually, my peeps keep telling me that 7 nights is enough, and would rather add another day at Satellite Beach than another day with the Mouse. I get it, though; WDW is going to be great fun, but I don't think restful will be the right word. We missed our beach trip, which is our annual "down time" for just vegging. I'm actually considering giving Harry Potter the boot for some extra peace and quiet. We haven't been able to spend nearly enough time together this year, so this time is super valuable to me.

Lol - DISers take over Magic Kingdom!

We found the mickey faces at home depot today - I know the lime green is tradition but couldn't resist all the other colors too - our rooms will be mickey face central!

Believe me, we'll share this thought! I am doing small Mickey heads on a garland made of fishing line, but it's Mickeys throughout. I haqve a Wall-E Mickey head, a Halloween Mickey, Donald and Goofy head, and a few others. It'll be a very busy window!

Ok so today I paid off the trip!!!

Congratulations! We are those type of people that wait until the last minute. I can't wait though, I keep hounding my DH.

Thought I would share this funny story with you all...I think I may have a future DISer on my hands...

In the corner of my room is our big suitcase...it doesn't really fit anywhere else. Tonight when I came upstairs I noticed it had a bunch of hangers on it. Apparently my 6 year old daughter is ready to start packing...it was all of her Disney related clothing!!!! Little does she know inside the bag is a bunch of brand new Disney shirts for the trip! Ha!

My husband is even getting excited about our trip!!! Last year he was just kinda so-so about it...just sorta going with the flow...but every few days he says..."I can't wait for Disney!"

to the thread! I have you added to the first post! I was just telling my husband about you. We are going from the 7th to the 16th, we have 2 boys, and they are even 2 and 4. Crazy! Oh, its also our first WDW vacation, too. The only thing is that we're staying at Pop.

And the obsession with Disney doesn't stop after the first trip. You'll be planning the 2nd trip before you even leave to come home.

We're going back to POP. This is my hubby's third trip and my fourth. There's no where quite like Disney.

Due to funds being so tight here, I try to get the trip paid off asap... which means when my income tax refund comes (and I always file as early as possible) I pay the trip off... then the money I save up after that is how we get there!!! Our trip has been paid off since FEB... congrats to those that are getting theirs paid.

I'm starting to freak out a little with the deadline for final payment being only 10 days away! i have our cruise paid in full, but not the parks portion of our trip. I'm suddenly debating changing our dates a bit.....since we haven't booked airfare yet, but I have to make a final decision before July 20th. I've been anxiously searching new ADR's to see if they are even available on the new dates. The new dates would put us in the parks after the cruise (Sept. 11)....so we'd be there for MNSSHP. I know I discussed this awhile back, but decided not to change plans.....and now I'm debating again! Ugh! I just can't make up my mind!!

I have DxDP and every night I am eating at a signature restaurant and one table service lunch.

The last night I am going to eat at Yachtsmen, but now I am rethinking it...should I just do a 1 table service at EPCOT that night so I can have another meal my last day at MK? or do you think going to Yachtsman is worth it and just pay OOP for food the last day?

We make our Mickey heads into magnets. We put our ADR's on the heads and put them on the door, this way as we leave for the parks in the morning we take along with us the heads for the day.

I love the little heads but worries me that home depot will have me arrested for taking them and not buying the paint - I wanted to take them all lol can't to start getting creative with them!

Jumping on board. We are headed to Pop Century on Sept 22-29. This is our second trip and we will be celebrating my birthday and our 10 year wedding anniversary.
