September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

Me and Dbf (not sure if that is an official abbr. but we are not married or engaged yet but have plans soon, anyways... lol) are going Sept 8-Sept 11, and staying at the POP Century. We are going for my birthday!! 32 yippy!!

We have ADR's at BOMA, Coral Reef, Tokyo Dining, Captain's Grille, & Raglan Road. Both of us have Seasonal AP & have TIW.

SUPER EXCITED!! :yay:

HI everyone! Okay so I'm about done summer shopping for the kids, but I dont know what to buy them for disney? how the weather in mid september?
I got a couple outfits i might just save for disney, when we went last year in july it was so hot we only wore tank tops so any advice?:cool1:

September is just as hot as July, if not hotter, because at least in July you get the once a day rain in the afternoon to cool things off. We nearly melted and I vowed that next time we went in Sept. all I am packing in sundresses and swimsuits.

It is now official... set in stone... we are gonna cheat on Mickey with Harry!!! Booked our tickets yesterday.... hoping to miss the price increases!!! Problem with doing this... they are non-refundable!!

You will LOVE it! :thumbsup2 The pull of Hogwarts and MNSSHP is what compelled me to make this short trip. We were just there in May, but it wasn't the same. I really, really missed the Halloween decorations around the MK. We also didn't go to Universal in May and I found myself desperately missing the whole WWoHP experience. (I'm a huge nerd.)

The Forbidden Journey is hands down the most amazing theme park ride I have ever been on. EVER. And I'm not just saying that as a HP geek, everything about it from the second you walk into the castle is just absolutely outstanding.

LOVE Tokyo Dining! :thumbsup2 We are eating there too. The Japan Pavillion is my absolute favorite place in all of WDW.

Really beginning to feel like grabbing a lunch for 7 at Le Cellier is impossible. Its been 2 months now, with checking multiple times a day :rotfl:, and nothing has opened at all! We have a reservation for 9/29 but REALLY want it for 9/30. I know its the first day of F&W so I think thats primarily the reason, but the whole week I'm there I can not get it any other day. Any one else traveling the last week of September having trouble switching around ADR's are popular spots??

I have my reservations set...but when I check out of curiosity there is really nothing available with the most popular places. I hope that doesn't mean it is going to be super crowded!!!

Yeah for getting your tickets. My girls want to do IOA but they really just want to do HP. I'm not sure besides Suess there is much they can go on. I'm hoping in a couple of years we can get back there.

Last night on my shopping adventures I picked up this shirt for my oldest daughter....

I thought it would be fun for our Ohana breakfast! :thumbsup2

that is soooo cute. If they made it in adults sizes, I would totally buy one for my trip!!

I found an awesome Disney Hawaiian Shirt on Ebay for the DBf. He loves it. Will be perfect for one of our dinner ADR's. He is the quite the "collector" of Hawaiian shirts lol.

:welcome: to the thread! I have you added to the first post! :dance3:

I attempted to make DH, DS and myself matching tie-dye mickey head shirts last night. It definitely did not come out how it was supposed to, but for a first attempt it looks good! I am not crafty or creative in any way so this was a big step for me! I will post pictures soon when I figure out how I am going to "perfect" them :rotfl: We also are making matching MNSSHP shirts, so those who are going to the 9/27 party will see us! I will post those too when we are done! So much to do! Planning really is half the fun :goodvibes

Too cool on the tye dye:hippie: I have never been brave enough to try that.

I do have a huge happy dance to do after a very traumatic experience (okay,I exaggerate). Bought our plane tix yesterday and was sooooo happy :) until today when Southwest announced their fare sale :sad1:. I was near tears (because I am a penny pincher) and then I thought, maybe...and went to the Delta site and found that I could cancel my tix for NO FEE because I was within their price guarantee time. WOOHOO! Bought new tix and saved $160! :woohoo:

We will see you during MNSSHP on 9/27. DS 7 and I are planning to attend that one. I haven't bought tix yet and planning to buy once weather comfirms. I'm not brave enough for tie-dye/iron ons.... :lmao: I think I'm just going to buy halloween t-shirt from our beleved Tareget. :rotfl:
