September 2011 CANCELLED ADR Thread - Read 1st Post

I just read through the previous posts again and still didn't see where someone had made a request. I just saw questions and chit chat so I didn't understand why they were "yelled" at. but maybe there was a request and it was already deleted. I don't know. I just wish people were nicer on these boards.

Does anyone know if they hold spots for walk ups? I'm a dummy and cancelled my ADR at Crystal Palace breakfast and now have figured out that we need and and nothing is coming up. Do you think if we walk up early, we may get seated, no shows, etc? Anyone done this with any luck? Would be for a party of 5..

Hi! I have a question and I'm not even sure if this is where to post it but I'm losing hope! After searching for the same reservation over 2 months now with no luck I heard a rumor that certain places hold out spots until a certain time before & then open them up at last minute.. Anyone know if this is true or have more details on it PLEASE SHARE!

I don't know if this is true either but I have noticed that I'll spend all week looking for a specific ADR and have no luck - then on Saturday and Sunday mornings I start seeing all sorts of new options. Now, I don't get everything I want but I do seem to find more options first thing in the morning on the weekend...don't know if it's coincidence or not???

Definitely agreed!!

It makes the frustration and repetitivity of constant ADR searching much more bearable!!! I am so sick of typing in what i am looking for - it would be great if the system let you look for the same thing over a time frame of a few days or a week

I think it's appropriate - you're not posting what you want or a trade and it's relevent to ADR strategy. I'd love any suggestions on getting an ADR posted on here. Lately there's been some criticism that this thread is only to post cancelled ADRs but I guess it's difference of opinion

I'm searching for 09/24 - 09/27. And 2 Sundays ago I was able to find 2 new ADR's first thing in the morning and last Saturday I got up at 8:00 a.m. and there were tons of Crystal Palace reservations opened up that weren't there before...again, it may be a coincidence but for me, personally, early Saturday/Sunday morning got me 3 reservations I wanted...although one of the ADR's is a second choice and I'm still looking for my #1 choice for that day.

I don't want everyone to think I'm saying new stuff is definitely released at those time because I have no clue...just my experience.

You're in South Africa? I'm not sure the time difference? Good luck!

Yay! I finallyyy found the akershus dinner I've been waiting for but it made me rearrange all my days so i just canceled my cape may dinner for Tuesday sept. 27 at 8:10 3ppl and still need to cancel for sept 29th akershus 3ppl 10:50am & chefs de France with remy at 1:10pm 3ppl.
