I still haven't cancelled my Akershus on 9/30 at 2:45pm for 8. I know it's a weird time but just thinking someone may want it.

We're new to the board (as of this morning!), but I think I get how this works. I won't be able to use the Chef Mickey's reservation described above and would be happy to wait to cancel it until I hear from someone who might like to try to get it.

Just another reminder

New policy for threads - Trade/Transfer/Wanted posts are no longer allowed. Since Disney no longer allows transferring of reservations to new names, we will no longer support trading of ADRs.

If you and another poster choose to call Disney at the same time to attempt to reclaim a cancellation that is fine and outside of the boards.

Only Cancellation Notice Posts will be allowed going forward. Wanted posts will be deleted without comment.

Thank you for understanding the reason for this change.

Those that cancel reservations are doing it as a favor to other DIS board members. Please do not PM or ask on the threads if they have more that they can cancel or share with you.

Also, please don't be frustrated if you don't get a cancelled ADR that was coordinated with you. Though the threads here give DISers an upper leg on the competition, we're competing with the rest of the world once that coveted reservation is back in the system. Some poor soul who has never even heard of us here may be obsessively checking for 'Ohana at the same time that you've arranged your drop/pick up.

That being said - GOOD LUCK to everyone seeking that coveted ADR!

Some of us stalk this thread and jump for joy when we see a new post because we think it's a new cancellation, only to be seriously disappointed when it's nothing but chatter, or posts looking for places or times that are clearly against the thread rules. If we want to talk about what we want, or just want to talk, there are other threads, specifically for Sept. 2011 for that.

I don't think there's too much irrelevant chatter on this page. There may be times that people, including myself, reply to someone elses message about a cancellation and are not actually cancelling an ADR but I don't think posts like that cause too much disruption to most people? Especially since a lot of us regularly take time to come on here and post new ADRs we see opening up online in case anybody needs it. That's just being done by a lot of us to be nice...

I agree that people should avoid posting messages just about what they want or requesting trades but if someone is active on this page and will take their time to let people know when they are cancelling an ADR or come on here and post new ADRs that they find for September then I'll appreciate that even if they want to add a comment or two.
