September 2009 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Canceled

Looking for Le Cellier from 5 - 6p for 2ppl on 9/23 can trade a tutto italia at 7:15p for same day

I can't get any of my ADR's, I picked three popular ones Chef Mickey, Ohana and Tusker and cannot get them any days!!!! I am beginning to think this trip is more work than it is worth!

what are your dates and are you looking for breakfast, or dinner?

You don't really need to cancel and then "hope" someone else can get it. What you need to do is call and then tell the CM you need to change the name on the ADR. Have done this in the past with no problems. If you have someone that PM'S you wanting the ADR, you will need their name and phone number.

I called today and asked about changing the name/number on the ADR and the rep I spoke to said we couldn't do this. What I have had to do in the past is coordinate a time to call and then drop my ADR and then the other person would immediately pick it up. I'm guessing maybe some reps are more lenient with the ADRs or some CMs just aren't aware they can do this??

I had the DISer who was canceling CRT tell me when they were going to call and cancel. I called around the same time (a minute later, I think it was -- that was 2 years ago) and got the resie. I suppose you can call at the same time and tell the CM what you're doing ("My friend is calling to cancel right now and I want to grab her reservation.") That way you avoid the minuscule chance that 1 minute will make a difference

I don't know if any of these suggestions work, just wanted you to have some sort of idea of how it might work. Good luck!

I know, I know I must be crazy BUT am looking for a ressie for 4 ppl (3 adults 1 child {13}) @ Le Cellier. I have tried everyday and no luck. We will be at Epcot 09/06/09 anytime from 2pm-7pm. I don't have anything to trade but my time. If you are looking for another Disney restaurant ressie, I can look it up online daily sometimes I will look 2x a day. I work for my DFIL so he doesn't mind me checking online when I have time at work (anything for his grandson). I just snagged Ohana at 8:30PM 09/05/09.

Well this is the first time in the last 5 years that i will not have a Le Cellier dinner Ressie. We were able to get a lunch ressie at 2:30 and we took it because we are bringing guests with us this time to the world. This will be their first experiences ever at WDW and we were able to snag all our favorite restaraunts for dinner but Le Cellier. We are going to be there on 9-12 to 9-17 if anyone would want to switch out or is going to cancel please let me know.

Okay, I know this is a long shot, but here goes.

My whole family is heading down to WDW for mine and my 4-year-old brother's birthdays which are two days apart.

My dad was trying hard to get Chef Mickey's for my little bro's bday on 9/22, but he didn't you could make ADRs 90 days out from your first day and tried making them 90 days from the day of the reservation and turned up empty for dinner.

If anyone is willing to give up dinner in the vicinity of 5pm on 9/22 for a family of 6 and make the little man's 5th birthday, we'd be eternally grateful. He's been dying to do the Hot Dog Dance with the characters at dinner.

If you'd rather hold on to those reservations tenaciously... I can't blame you at all. It's a battlefield out there.

To add to this, apparently we did did nail 2:10pm on 9/22 at Chef Mickey's. My picky parents are still gunning for around dinner time though. So if you're less picky about a time than... sigh... my family is, we do have a time to trade.

I've seen this question a few times but no answer yet.

How do you do the ADR trade?

Keep the original reservation and new DISer uses original reservation name and number (not good if there's a credit card involved, right?)....do restaurants ask for ID?

Or coordinate the canceling and new booking to be at the same time?

Or can you call Disney dining and ask that the name for a booking be changed to another name (party)?

Hi there! I have done this in the past as both a giver and a receiver of ressies. We have done it 2 ways.

If we have another ressie scheduled around the same time that we will be using, then we call WDW and just tell them that we need to change the last name on the ressie. We change it to the new Diser's name and give the Diser the confirmation # and all has been fine.

If we don't have another ressie at that time and it doesn't matter if the ressie is in our name or not, then we just give the Diser our last name and the confirmation #.

Of course, none of these trades involved meals that required credit card holds.

I just tried my daily quest for Le Cellier and the online ADR is down "We are currently rolling out a *NEW* online dining application to make your reservation process even easier. Please come back and try our new system when it is available."
