I tried to book for September 27 - October 4th 2008 with the Wilderness Lodge. The standard and Woods view rooms are not listed only courtyard and club level. Are all the rooms already booked 12 1/2 months in advance? I booked for September 30 - October 7 2006 only 6 months in advance and got the woods view just fine. What's going on here???:confused3

Disney's online computers are extremely quirky. Never trust them. If a category of room appears to be completely booked, call. Or just wait a few days and try again. If Disney really is out of a category, you can also check places like Expedia or Hotels.com, which often has rooms Disney does not.

thanks! I was getting a little worried for a second. I didn't want to pin those dates down exactly yet. I am waiting for the F&W Festival dates for 2008 first. I thought it looked a little fishy for the standard rooms to all be booked a year in advance.

You never know. We booked the first day possible for our Sept. 2008 trip. Staying at WL, with woods view room...so did the outlaws...so my party is 4, outlaws 4 and cousins 5, so between the 3 of us, we've got 4 rooms booked.

I booked WL for Christmas 2008 and online it only lists Courtyard, Courtyard w/ bunk beds or Club levels available. I booked through a travel agent and she said Disney will open up more rooms at a later date, because we wanted Woods w/ bunkbeds. We ended up with courtyard for now but can change it when more rooms are made available by Disney. I don't know why they hold back but they seem to do so.:confused3

they probably hold the rooms back so that all the people who try and book a year or more in advance can't take all of the rooms from people who book 6 months in advance. They probably are releasing the rooms in stages so that everybody gets a fair shot, or at least I hope so. If not, all the rooms would be booked at the farthest date out possible (499 days). Not everyone can do that. :thumbsup2

True, I was shocked when she said all she could book was Courtyard. I couldn't believe so many people wanted to book a vacation that far in advance. I needed to because it gives me motivation to save money for the trip and gives me time to get up the big bucks that kind of trip requires:eek: .
