September 2008 waitlist?

I can't find a September 2008 waitlist thread and am hoping that means there's plenty of availability

I'm waiting on two contracts to close before I can make a September reservation, and it's probably going to be late April before that happens. All I need is a studio for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday after Labor Day. Any guesses about availability (preferably anywhere other than OKW or SSR)?

Am I the only one on a September waitlist?
I have been on the list for about a month and a half now for a 2 BR concierge level at AKV for one night: September 27th.
We already had reservations for 2BR concierge for the Sept 28-Oct 3 but are arriving a night earlier and all I could get was a 2BR value. I really don't want to have to switch rooms on Sunday so am really hoping to get that one night.

I think concierge level is hard to get no matter what. Who knows how many others are on the waitlist.

I am on a waitlist for Sept 25 - 28 (3 nights) for BWV, BCV or VWL. I just got on it last week. I am hoping something will come up around 30 days out....

Yay!! Where did you get? I am thinking I should call again. So many people are reporting getting their waitlist all of a sudden when they call

Studio OKW came through. I kept my waitlist for Boardwalk studio-23rd-26th through. I guess now my order has changed to be after everyone now.

Yeah, she kept me on hold for the longest time, like ten minutes. It was like it was immediatley there when I asked for the one day (25th) then she asked if I could hold on. Patient me waited and sure enough she could "come through" for my one of my waitlists and did I Ok the borrowing of points? I thought the waitlist would already take if opened but I would keep calling-it can't hurt! I called almost everyday because I don't trust the accuracy of that waitlist system.

I am waitlisted for a BW view 1bedroom for 9/21 to 9/25. We already have a BW 1 bedroom garden/pool view and figured if we are using the points for preferred we may as well wait list for the BW view.I have only called back once to see if anything was available because I really don't want to be a pain.(of course I check online daily!!!)I know that I will call daily once the 7 day point comes but am I am being foolish just passively waiting or should I be calling in case something becomes available??

Nope--there are at least two of us. I've also been on the waitlist for about a month for a studio at BCV or BWV for 9/12-15.

I am waitlisted for a studio or 1 bedroom. I would think a 1 bedroom would come thru first and that is my preference too. There is a standard view 1 bedroom for my dates on disney world dot com and I keep hoping they will change it over from cash to points for me!

We are on the WL for a 1BR at BCV, BWV & VWL for 9/28-10/4. We've been on the WL for about a month now. We currently have a 1BR at OKW for the same dates.

I called this week to check the status of our WL, as several others have reported that they got their WL request by calling to check. The CM at MS simply confirmed that we were still on the WL for those dates at those resorts. He said he didn't have access to how many were on the WL ahead of us.

I'm guessing it is unlikely anything will come through for us with the new WL policy, since we need 6 days in a row... portions of our stay may become available but they'll be given to someone who is on the WL for a shorter stay.

I just called about my BCV/BWV studio WL for 9/12-15, and there's still nothing. I asked if one was available for any of the nights--no dice. Guess I'll just have to suffer at VWL

It's probably for the best. If I moved, some of my ADRs would need to be changed/cancelled.

Thanks but we move on the 26th to SSR! We try to save points as much as we can. I forgot that many will use BWV for F&W festival so I surrender! 31 days out today! I am getting excited! We are used to short term plans and with the dining it is difficult. DVC is getting to be more for the planners!
