I'm going in September, too! I've booked the Wilderness Lodge for my baby girl's 1st birthday. princess: Hopefully, we can just add the dining plan on if they have free dining. Also hoping for a MNSSHP date, but we leave on September 14.

I think I'm understanding this more now- but I still have a question. If I happen to have a 40% code for my name when I call to make my reservations- then I wouldn't be eligible for the free dining. Is that right??:woohoo:

Not trying to be dumb here but if I wait for the free dining and don't make any reservation now with the 30% code it will still be attached to my name and I won't be eligible for the free dining? We have a Disney Visa and that is how we heard about it last year. DH and I were talking last night and had decided just to wait to make any sort of reservation because the Free Dining was still a better deal. I understand you can't use both at the same time. I just didn't realize that if you happened to have a code attached to your name you couldn't choose. Maybe I am just making this way too difficult.:confused3
If I did make a reservation with the 30% off code and then changed it would my deposit be applied to the other reservation? AHHHHHH!!
:)

You can chose not to use any code that is attached to your name. You can use it or wait and see if free dining is offered and use that instead.

Statler.. I'm pretty sure you CAN"T add it to your exisiting reservation. You will have to call and make a new one, and hope what you want is available. They only have certain amount of rooms for free dining.

Thanks! I was beginning to wonder if I wouldn't be able to get the free dining, which is a better deal for us. Sorry to be so dumb.

Does anyone have the 800 # for calling disney reservations.

TIA

Free dining is bookable for up to 14 days ..

You can change to free dining later provided that Free Dining is available at your resort and for your dates.. otherwise you might have to be flexible on one or both of those items. (resort/dates)

When I booked bounce back in Sept - I asked what the longest I could book for - and she told me 10 days. :confused3 So, I booked ten.

In any case - Ill be there!!!

:thumbsup2 Tinker Bell came and sprinkled pixie dust at my house last night. When I called :cool1: to schedule my trip Sept. 13-20. I have a 30-40% discount for my room and they told me I could get a 30% discount on the basic dining plan or a 40% discount on the deluxe dining plan. I have not really checked into the dining plans because I wasn't expecting both- my question is How much do each of the dining plans usually cost per day (adult and 4yr old)? I'm not certain which one I should get- 4 adults and 1 -4yr old going. Also- can anyone tell me about the bus from the All Star Movie resort to the parks. I've read just a bit about it but wanted to hear from some of you who have stayed there. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Yes, it was possible to book up to 14 nights. I'm booked for 11 nights with the Bounceback. If you want you could still call and try to modify your reservation, add additional nights. I recently changed my dates entirely and was able to keep the Bounceback Free Dining with no problem. As long as there's still availability at your resort you should be able to add on to your reservation. :goodvibes

Just wondering for those of you who were at Disney last Sept. did y'all do MNSSHP and if so how was it? Also how were the crowds in September of last year? We went in 05 and the crowds were really low, back in May 07 and I was shocked out how crowded everything was - it wasn't Summer busy but much busier than we had expected. We are hoping for less crowds when we go back in September this year!!

I just found this site yesterday and IT IS AWESOME. So many great tips and ideas! Thank you all.

DH and I are planning to go Aug 31 - Sept 6 this year. We're hoping for a discount or free dining, but we're going regardless.

I haven't booked yet though - am I going to have a hard time getting the reservation we want? We were putting it off a few weeks until our bank account was back up from Christmas/birthdays!

How does reserving work anyway? Do you pay a deposit up front or whole amount? what is the amount of hte deposit? Am I reading these tips right - if we book now and a discount comes up we can re-book later with the discount?

Thanks so much!! I can't wait until September!

My family was there last September 8th. thru 11th. Crowd was low. We never had to wait in line long at all. We are going back this September!

Usually if you are booking a package the deposit is $200 per room.
