Ang thanks yes its a blast doing this wedding and I didn't realize how much I have missed it. So tomorrow is another Bridal Fair and dress shopping and Sunday yet another Bridal Fair (gez I didn't realize how many they have in the begining of the year) then next Friday I have a meeting with a Beauty Shop for us to come up with terms/agreements so I get a discount for the bride if i send them there.

Wic, I miss talking to you I am so sorry that I haven't been around.

Hey, Rome was not built in a day and I have not even been able to fill out the application yet let alone get an interview. The truth be told, if there is an opening, I have a pretty good chance since the last librarian as well as the one who had the job for over 20 years are very good friends of mine. There is a low turnover though so we shall see. I have a few problems but I am hoping that the fact that bad weather could not prevent me from walking the 50 steps or so and the fact that I think I have a good rep for being responsible will help. It does not pay all that well so competition would be low. We shall see.

I have spent the day losing considerable amounts of my steriod weight. Not in an easy manner either.

I am relieved to see that you are not at all bitter. Just kidding as I have a feeling that you are merely giving the facts and nothing but the facts. I had one of them too. That explains why I have stuck with this one so long. He does not cheat. Since I dial the phone for him, drive him where he wants to go and have total control of everything (not my choice) it is not likely. I am willing to find him a girlfriend if she does housework though.

angwill, I work with the kids at the Community Center now but the library is not far from either my home or the CC. My house is so well located for a person with my problems. It is not him coming in the library that would be the problem but his idea that causing a scene would get me back home. I know the people down there well enough to warn them though. The police station is across the street and the dispatcher is a friend of mine.

Pooh, shucks, I thought you knew Vixen the wrester. Do you watch American Gladiator? I did once and thought it was sort of fun. I love seeing competitors win against the more professional folks. It was heartbreaking seeing the fellow who lost it all in Katrina get hurt and out so soon. How is the wedding going?

It bums me out not to get notifications too. Gives me more hours in the day to get things done though. I would rather have the notifications.

Hey Pooh, I'm soooo glad that you are having such a great time planning this wedding - maybe all this wedding planning will give Mike a nudge!

I hate not getting notified about posts too, what a pain in the butt! I actually have to WORK at work during the day now!

The bride in the wedding I'm in sent me a link with the dress we're wearing today, the dress is very nice...she couldn't find maroon, so she's putting half of us in a light colored wine dress and the other half in hunter green - still hideous color combo....but the dress doesn't scare me anymore! Maybe when she see's the colors together at the bridal boutique she'll change her mind!

SG, don't go backing out on the job application, this job has your name written all over it!

I'm watching 20/20 right now, there's a story about 40+ yo women with eating disorders There's a woman who's like 5'7" and is only weighing in at 80 lbs....and she's married! I find it hard to believe her husband never noticed his wife was a breathing skeleton!

Well I'm off to bed soon, been a long day! My husband will be home in about and hour and a half.....so I need to fall asleep now, this way I don't hear him snoring once he comes to bed!

Wedding plans are going fine we are going out today for wedding gowns and tomorrow bridal fair.

I have HUGE NEWS I may have just got booked for 2 more weddings, I am at work (the other one now ) and a customer came in and we got to talking when she saw all of my wedding stuff on my desk and asked about it so I proceeded to tell her everything and then she said she would be getting married in the next year or in 09 and that her sister just got engaged over christmas and that she was going to talk to her also about me YUPPIEEEEE!!!! that would be AWESOME to land those 2 ontop of the one I already have and it would def. get my name out there.

About the anorexic lady do you think that her DH might have been afraid to say anything because he knew it would make her more depressed about her body image? I have friend who sadly was anorexic and God forbid if her husband mentioned anything about it because he is supposed to love her for who she is. Now us girls could talk to her but we had to be careful how we approached it with her so she didn't end up crying and even more depressed about what she looked like. We also didn't have to live with her. Looking back on it in reality it is her that had to find the strength inside of her and our reminders just made sure she didn't try to forget there was a problem. Glad to say now that she is happy, healthy, and a bit over weight at the moment but still a beautiful woman. It was getting pregnant that kicked her butt back to reality. It is sad but society says we must be thin to be pretty and unless we love ourselves enough to not care what society thinks it can harm us mentally. Heck I don't care what society says but there were and still are times it makes me want to be really thin especially when I was a teen. Problem is I love good food too much to give it up completely.

SG, Now you know we will give you peer pressure like we did Pooh when she mentioned wedding planning don't you?

Ang you're probably right about the anorexic's husband, I know for a fact though if I suddenly got an eating disorder, my husband would have no problems at all setting me straight, and getting me the help I needed!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, I have basically decided to be a couch potato today.......other than doing 2 loads of laundry and shovelling off the back deck for the dog, I've done nothing all day long! The only reason I shovelled the deck was because the temps are going to drop down into the negative numbers for the next couple days.....and the snow out there is going to become hard as stone, can't make my puppy walk through that stuff!

Hey everyone sorry I haven't been on with this not giving me notices and with doing all the work for this wedding for my bride I have had no time off.

I did make another contact with another BRIDE on Saturday so if I get all these weddings I will have 4 to do, this by far exceeds my wildest dreams.

Okay, give me a break here. The application is all filled out with the pertinent info and ready to be dropped off tomorrow, if the snow does not fall and I am in good enough of a shape to drive. The 'cute' sinusitis seems to be causing me to be very wonky. I could sleep 20 hours a day I think.

Pooh, when things are meant to be they will be. I know that you will be a great success. You cannot help but be when you are doing something that you enjoy so very much. Keep at it until you reach the pinnacle, that of planning Disney weddings, which is where you KNOW you wanna be!!

Wic, I watched that show too and while I know more about body issues from the other side I could see that side too. I remember thinking I was so fat and ugly when I was younger and when I look at the pictures now I see a beautiful young woman. Wish I had known her then. Some men do not notice anything unless the house gets messy or food is not prepared but that guy cared enough to hang in there and spent a lot of time, energy and a whole wad of cash so I sure do hope things go well with them both.

Ang, I have been thinking about you a whole lot and blessing your name. Turmoil in my soul and trying to work things through. Life goes on. Day by day, step by step. Plodding along is better than falling down in a heap though.

I just got a notification on another DIS thread so maybe things will be back to normal soon? I hope, I hope.

Did you hunker down yesterday? I hope your hubby did not have to work out in that cold. Even I do not need cable THAT badly.

Do you have kids who play basketball? My grandson is on the traveling team. I am not sure that they will come your way but one never knows. It is not that far up the road.

Any trips planned? We spent the month of September and went back for ten more at Christmas time.

Hi, yep my hubby had to work in that cold yesterday. I work at the outlet mall there close by on the weekends(usually a closer because im one of the older ones)-so I took him a warm subway sandwich on my way there. I still babysit during the day part time and now my baby is going to preschool 2 days a week. So there is usually a tues or thursday i have about 2 hours to myself!!! Maybe we can meet up then if you have free time in the mornings. His class is from 8:30-11:30. My son has no interest in basketball. Bums me out. me and dh both played in school but i wish he would but we have never forced or pushed it on him. if he wanted to play he will let us know. But he does play baseball in the summer for the park and rec. At least he does something. I think the last time i talked to you it was for the september 06 trip. It was amazing. We have been there since. We went this June. We stayed in the cabins at FW. We took our golf cart down and just hung out there a few days just riding around. We used to have a camper but sold it 2 yrs ago. We just bought a new one in October and we CANT WAIT until we can take it to FW. We just went to Destin the day after christmas to break it in. We tried to get into the fort but it was booked. at least we broke it in down in florida. I think we are going may 22 if all works well. I could ramble all day. So it was good hearing from you! hope to talk soon!!

Your son and my grandson are the same age. My grandson is on the All Star Baseball team too.

You work at Tangers? Which store? I go down that way occasionally. I am planning on taking my grandson to the Nature Preserve with another friend this summer. I am all about education ya know.

I have always wondered about staying at the FW. It sounds great. Did you see the show about them decorating their campgrounds at Christmas? Some folks decorated their campers more than I do my big house.

Do you camp around these parts as well? Are you guys members of Ceraland?

Tuesdays and Thursdays are when I drive my husband bowling and such. He no longer drives.

How'd all the bridal shows go this weekend Pooh?

3 of us bridesmaids went gown shopping yesterday, found the gown the bride picked out for us and tried it on.... it was horrible! This gown felt like it weighed about 7 lbs and as I was trying it on, I noticed the washing instructions on it...do not handwash, machine wash or dryclean! Helllllooooo....how do you clean this thing? Luckily, it looked bad on all 3 of us, all of us had different body types too! So we found a few more gowns that we liked and called the bride last night to tell her! To our surprise, she was happy that we went, and disappointed that the gown didn't look as good in person as it looked online! So the ugly gown dilemma is now resolved, now we're going to work on the colors! We had the two colors side by side yesterday...we looked like christmas trees!

Anyone else having a heat wave today....we're a balmy 14 degrees right now!

Yep, Pooh, I am plumb worried about you overcoming your innate shyness and being able to tell that bridesmaid 'something-something'.

FYI, the deed has been done and the application has been filed. Whether or not there is an opening at the present time I have no clue but one thing for sure is they will never find anyone with more, or better references. I am counting on the kindness of my library friends.

Chest hurts like crazy and still feeling like keeling over though.

You go girl. I really hope they can use you at least a bit to get yourself out and about in an environment that you love. I really hope you start feeling better. I just got my yearly sinus infection last night and am not enjoying myself today so I can only imagine how you must feel. One good thing came of it though when my DS decided I was too sick to cook and actually made himself dinner all by himself and it wasn't frozen or canned foods. He fried himself a grilled cheese and made himself a baked potato with bacon and cheese. Next time I am going to convince him to make a quiche that I showed him how to cook over the summer. He thinks he can't cook without me in the kitchen with him so it was really good for him to realize he can be independent and do things without guidance. It was a good boost to his self esteem.

Hi girls Stopped in for a short hello & check up, see bridal stuff & new jobs-woohoo I miss you all.

Had some health issues but finally have results & they are GOOD! Our oldest DS(8) has been being bullied by a kid in school for over 18 months months now. We go to a Lutheran school & they have taken the "love & kindness" approach with the kid-guess what -not working. I've had the police there two times in the last week, quit my job & pulled kids out of school. They convinced us to return, assuring me the other kid would be isolated. On Monday he attacked with a pair of shoes, hitting G in the head. Last straw for me. I exploded, the other kid has been removed from school for now but will have to wait to see happens next. Have to stop, my head hurts now
