Since the last time we talked I have acquired a 'little hottie'.

My youngest grandson decided that he was just not up to another day on the farm and wanted to hit the 'bright lights' of town and his grandma. We stopped by the library where he attempted to take out a book and was refused because of past due fines of $31 that have not been paid since last May. (sigh) I let him put the book on my card. I have heard him tell his parents that he needs to return something to the library but it is not their priority. It is mine though.
angwill, as usual you are completely correct. I did not make myself clear. I meant that I thought that kids were overdiagnosed with it sometimes because of sensory overload and lack of much stability. I have attempted to work with kids with true ADD and keeping them on track requires more than I am capable of on some days. With the boys I tell them that they have a big truck engine for a brain instead of the weak little car ones that most people have and they need bigger 'brakes' in order to try to control it. Boys love power, more power. Varoom! Varoom!! Since I tend to think in layers myself I have a lot of compassion for how they must be feeling. My grandson would not only use the bookcases but have everything sorted by category and alphabetized. Ummm, wonder where he got that from?
Wic, my oldest grandson is over 16 and his muscles would put Hulk Hogan to shame. Hottie he may be but definitely not little.

I can still beat him in arm wrestling though. I used to earn rent money from doing that and know all the tricks.

I developed asthma late in life and from what I read those who had it as children have it far, far worse. I spent quite a bit of time in hospitals too and try to avoid them as much as possible. If you have to have multiple shots every hour on the hour you can get over your fear of needles AND also be grateful for a large enough target that they do not have to shoot the same place twice. Pity those skinny butted girls I do.

How is your asthma now? Did you outgrow it?
Pooh, I seem to start with the acid reflux, then sinus drainage and then it settles in my chest. Everyone is different and I am sure that after dealing with it for so very long that you know what to watch for. Irksome though. By the time we decide that we need to see a doctor it is almost a bit later than it should be.
Ants, I gain a huge amount from surgery because of the water gain from the shock and the prednisone immediately adds five pounds with the very first pill. I am amazed and thrilled that you did not have those problems to add to the pain.

WTG, with the weight loss but there are easier ways to do it. Stress also makes me GAIN. Differences.
