Well, the shorter flight from Orlando to Atlanta wasn't hot with them either- the attendants were in a grumpy mood because we hit a lot of turbulence. But I figured- hey, I'd be pretty grumpy too if I was trying to serve drinks in that!

I still would call or write them a letter and complain and let them know that this is unacceptable behavior from their flight attandants. If you do this please let me know what happens.

going to bed have a long week ahead of us, i think we are going to the game again on Sat. to watch the Indians take on the Sox.

Disneyaprilfool, So sorry to hear about your flight problems. I wish the airlines had the customer service training Disney has. I agree with Pooh sometimes you just gotta let the company know when you had an exceptionally bad or good experience even if it is just to get it off your chest.

Pooh, Next year if you go with the regular AP price and still want want the water parks and will go a few times price the seperate water parks AP. Then just get the regular AP (I have one this year yeah!!) and a water park only AP. It will be less expensive than seperate tickets or the Premium AP. Hope that works out for you.

Oh I forgot to tell you that I ended up with my pedometer getting stolen from our room. That darn thing cost me over $30 too and it told you calories burned number of steps and mile and kept a tally for a week. I loved that thing and already ordered a new one. I debated bringing it with to the park that morning and decided to just leave it on the nightstand and when we came back in the afternoon it was gone. I looked high and low behind everything for that darn thing and after packing everything myself the last day and rechecking everywhere decided it best to let guest services know after hearing I was not the only one missing something that week. Now mind you if I had any doubt that it wasn't housekeeping I would not have said anything. I went to guest services and the CM was shocked and asked me if I was sure it didn't fall behind the bedstand or something. I said no I just explained to you that I am positive I left it on the right front corner of the nightstand. She then took down my info and asked what park I visited that day and I told her AK. She then says I will let the head of house keeping know so they can check the room really good and also call lost and found at AK and if we find it we will let you know. I was dumb founded that all I wanted to do was let them know it happened since I read it happened to others and didn't even want any compensation but she still turned it around and blamed me for losing it. I would have let it go if she didn't do that but I ended up emailing guest services. I have never had anything taken from my room at any hotel I have ever stayed at so it is shocking when it happens at Disney . Anyone else have problems or anything taken from your room? Just curious.

The great thing about Disney is that they make everything else so magical that it is easy to let go the one or two bad experiences.

This is why my husband won't let housekeeping in our room when we travel anywhere. He's always afraid that something is going to be stolen. So everyday we end up with a big bag of towels hanging on our door knob when we get back from the parks, and we throw our dirty towels in the bins by the pools. The only thing that stinks is that I have to make the beds when I'm on vacation.

My neice had a necklace stolen from her hotel room a few years ago when she was in a softball tournament in VA, it was housekeeping, and the hotel was able to retreive the necklace from the little thief who cleaned the room!

I am not into sports at all but since my dear grandson (10) is a big Yankees fan and I am HIS fan I HAVE to root for the Yankees!!

I have never had anything taken from a motel room. Not sure if that means I have nothing worth stealing or what. My only problem with Housekeeping this time was I could not get her to take her tips. You would not believe all the gyrations I did to make sure she got them. She was a trainee.

Pooh, you are just the sort who should be an AP holder. We paid about $450 per for our AP's but we had one day tickets to turn in toward them and such so that confuses the math. As I have stated before I use my credit card cash rewards ($600) to pay toward our passes and we buy one every other year and stagger the vacations to get 3-4 trips so we get our money's worth.

I have to help an older friend of mine get her driver's license today. She is scared so I talked her into coming to my tiny town where I was the 4-H leader for all the workers. Her husband cannot drive and she needs cataract surgery but is not old enough for Medicare. I am hoping for a miracle.

Honestly this was the first time anything was stolen and it being a pedometer kind of took me by surprise. I probably should have let them know that day then maybe they could have gotten it back. I do lock up the expensive items in the safe or in a locked suitcase (not like they couldn't just wheel it on out if they wanted but it has worked for us so far).
I like when they make my bed and vacumn. Funny story: The first time my son stayed in a hotel he was 5 years old and when we came back the first day after being out he stood in awe with this amazed look on his face as we walked in the room. My DH and I asked him what was wrong and he said "It's magic mama my bed is made and I didn't do it I swear." We laughed so hard and told him it was the fairies that lived there. lol To this day the thing he loves most about vacations is that someone cleans up and makes his bed well besides the pool of course.

Hey Angela,

Every time we've gone, my husband has locked things in the safe, but he still doesn't want anyone in our room when we aren't there! Maybe it's just the correctional officer coming out in him....he doesn't trust anyone! I have seen others posts on these boards from people stating things were stolen from their rooms. I was very surprised when my neice told me her necklace was stolen, but she was smart enough to report it right away...and the dumb*ss who stole it was actually wearing it when management caught them!

I don't care if someone cleans my room...less work I have to do, plus everything of value is either locked up or with us when we leave the room for the day!

People who have been robbed or deal with folks who do that sort of thing would naturally be a bit more cautious than other folks.

I am always surprised that more does not get taken given the low wages that some of the people earn. From my experience it is not the very poor that steal as much as the others though. I will have to ponder on why that is or if my conclusion is faulty. I got home from my nearly month long vacation to find a UPS document on my front porch marked urgent and it was still intact. Luckily it was not urgent as it was my second ressie papers from DW. Small town life can be great, if you live in the right town.

No, seriously. He suffers from bipolar and chances of me getting him to do ANYTHING is typically slim to none. It can be rough dealing with someone who has depression, but hey- can't change things, now can I? So instead, I teach the kids the value of taking care of their rooms/the home/the room we stay in when we are away from home.

Trust me- I feel your frustration on a daily basis- like when I walk outside and see all of the new weeds sprouting after I worked on the yard because goodness knows, I can't have someone ELSE work on the yard for me. I hear your pain though cause my next door neighbor complains about her husband all the time and he is the hardest working man I have ever seen. Sometimes he comes over here to work just to get away from her. Works for me!!

My husband did his part on our recent vacation though. At one of the parties he actually went and refilled his own drink AND mine but mostly he watched my cane while I stood in line and got his food for him.

Beat that one! I double dog dare you and if you can you have my sympathies.

There is one thing he does do that makes me very happy- he always, always will play with the 2 year old. I guess I'll trade that for taking out the trash anyday.

Funny thing is- he's a hard worker when he's at work. But his job is kinda seasonal so when he's home for a week, sleeping until noon, while I take care of the three kids, the dogs, the cats, the house- well, it can make me a BIT BITTER.

DisneyAprilFool, honey chile, let me done tell you. It don't get any easier the older you get.

Mine worked second shift so he would not have to see the kids much at all and to avoid having to see me do housework and such. It makes him nervous.

The stories told about his working days are nearly as interesting. Thank God he had an union job.

The youngest grandson once actually walked into the kitchen (where he spends his days watching TV) and grabbed the remote and said "Old man, listen to me for once!!" I thought it was funny/sad. Did not work either.

BTW, I always win these contests. My ex husband was far worse. It is a matter of degrees I guess.

Maybe your two year old can retrain yours?

I used to work with a woman who was always talking to herself, and occassionally she'd crack herself up!

Cow tipping --- cows sleep standing up, so if you sneak up on them and push them a little bit, they fall over like a ton of bricks!
