Aw, Timmy- that sound huge and I'd be scared too! I'll keep you in my thoughts and heart- I'm sure you'll be okay, but I know I'd be terrified. The only surgeries I've had were D&Cs after miscarriages and those were scary enough!


I'm pretty nervous today. In about 5 minutes, I'm loading up my Bernese Mountain Dog and taking her to her first dog show. It's an official unofficial one- LOL. No points will be awarded towards Championship or anything, but we'll get practice and probably make ***** out of ourselves in front of everyone. YAY.

Timmy I have at 19 major surgeries and its not so bad you will blow by this one just fine I have faith in you. as far as the morphine drip god thank the man who came up with that one. when I was 22 I had my 2nd child (who past 1/2 hour after she was born) and then I started to have major problems and within in a month I had to have an emergency hysto. and then they found that i had ovarion cancer so it was a blessing in disguise. Not say that is going to happen to you by any means.

Hello everyone, I can't seem to keep up with this thread so forgive me if I missed something.

It is really good to see this thread go on and on just don't forget about me when I have a hard time keeping up.

You are in my thoughts and prayers with your surgery. I used to work in OB in our local hospital and I agree with the person who said if they had any reason to worry about the C word they would not wait to get you in for surgery. I also agree that I would try to get in sooner to ease your mind. You could ask to be put on a waiting list so if someone cancels they can call you and get you in then. You could also hold on to your reservation and may just be able to take that trip after all. Oh by the way you are not fat!!!

Long time no post, I know! Wanted to stop in and see how everyone is doing...Also wanted to share some tradgic news (if you havent already heard), Alicia, AKA AKsunshine was in a wreck and her 16 mo baby Levi was killed. I have started a thread for her and her family....the link is in my siggy if you would like to add thoughts/prayers etc. I will call her at the hospital this afternoon to check on her and her husband(they are both suffering head injuries), Ill keep that thread posted on there recovery

Wow- miss a few days and had to read to catch up. My heart is just breaking for this family- I'd say I cannot imagine, but having lost a child, myself, I can imagine it too vividly...

Oh, how very, very sad.




BTW- we had a decent day on Sunday. She's a puppy and acted much like a puppy- a brat. She won three pity ribbons- best female dog (you know Dis won't let me post THAT word), best of breed and 2nd in her class. Of course, she was the ONLY Berner- so she had to get the first two ribbons and she was the only OTHER dog in the class- so second is like last place! But that was my first time around as well as hers, so I'm proud nonetheless.

No pictures. I had everything packed- was charging the battery to my camera and of course, left without the battery! Realized it about 5 minutes away from the house, thought about turning back, didn't know how long it would take to get out there- so left the battery and ended up arriving THIRTY minutes early.

Timmy, worrying about having surgery is the hardest part, most of the time. I have had so many surgeries that they have contemplated putting in a zipper so I know. My periods were so bad that my surgery was a blessed relief. I was older than you when I had mine though. I hope things go as you wish and if you need a 'mom' to talk to you can PM me and I will give you my phone number. I am full of advice, as well as 'other' things.

DisneyAprilFool, your dog did better than a certain sister of mine did. She was the only contestent in a baking contest and came in second. I would not say that her pie was bad but they wanted to make sure she did not go to the state with it. She still brags about her second place 'win'. Sort of sad, really.

Yardwork for me today. Lots of weeds grew while we were gone even though it did not rain. Drought is good for sorting out the flowers from the weeds. If it is still growing and green it is a weed.

Yeah I saw the game, unbelievable! We may be down right now, but we are far from being out! We were in the same situation back in "04" against the Yankee's. We won all 3 games, and went on to sweep in the World Series! Plus we've got Beckett back on the mound tomorrow night...should be a great game!

My week has been short work wise, I left at 3 on Monday and took yesterday off. My husband took me to the Medevil Manor in Boston Monday night....we had a great time! I took yesterday off, just because I could! We could be a little busier, but since I was out yesterday...I'll be playing catch up today!
