staying in DisneyWorld before the cruise but only for 2 nights. We were going to be there longer, but my brother scheduled his wedding for this weekend so our plans had to change a little - lol. We are staying at the Boardwalk, arriving on Tuesday and then checking out Thursday to head to the ship!!! OH and I forgot before we are in room 8004 on the cruise!!!

We are also going to be on this cruise and it's our first time cruising - We can't wait and are so excited!!! It will be me (Debbie), DH (Paul) and 3 kids - DD Cassie 13, and DS's Ben and Andrew 11 & 10!!!

OOH Maybe our boys will meet up in the clubs. DS Devin is 11 and Ryan is 9...will turn 10 on Castaway Key on Saturday the 4th!!!! What a way to celebrate a birthday!!!

not sure if we can make the trip,

mom just went into the hospital with a breathing problem.
Now she is scheduled to have 2 valves replaced in her heart. Though they say their is very low chance of things going wrong, there is always the possibility when you are dealing with the heart. They say recovery is a few months but she would only be in the hospital for a week or so afterwards.

My brothers and sisters are telling me not to cancel anything yet, that they will be there but you can see where I am with it. Mom is mom and disney can always wait.

Will post more as things roll on but I can use some pixie dust if you have some just for MOM.

Earl seems to be coming pretty close to the port on sail day. Has anyone heard anything about delays or issues with our cruise? I've been checking DCL site and havnt seen anything, but I wanted to see if anyone else had any info

Hey All,

The cruise has come and gone.

We had a great time. The meet up didn't go so well at the B-ball court, but I did get to meet Skyman and his family. I don't know if anyone else was wandering around trying to pick out the DISers - it was pretty busy. We stayed about 20 mins looking around.

The FE thing was fun. It was neat trying to run around the ship getting to areas we wouldn't have gone to otherwise. And thanks for all the gifts. Some of you are so much more crafty than we are.

Thanks everyone for a great FE, the kids were excited everytime they saw something.

We did realize that 3 days are just not enough for a cruise though. Relaxation didn't happen as much as I thought it would. There is just to much to see and do on you first cruise.

Yeah Chris it was great to meet you and your family and I hope we can get in touch once in awhile. I will send you a pm just to see how the weather is up north.

So did anyone else get super sick on the first night like I did? I was on the patch and even took dremamine. It was horrible.

I didn't get sick but my husband and girls did. They didn't toss their cookies like alot of people but they had to miss dinner and ended up falling asleep at 7pm! But they woke up fine and were well rested for the next day

I didn't toss my cookies either. I was fighting it really bad. I refused to lie or sit down. DH and I walked around and then DH discovered there was a theater. We went to see The Sorcerers Apprentice or something and about halfway into it I asked DH for the room key so I can just go to bed. The second day I still felt yucky. Of course the last day I felt fine.

Hi all! We got home late monday and are slowly getting back into the routine of day to day life.
Our trip to Disney was great and our cruise on the Wonder was amazing!!!!
We never got the chance to meet you all, but we want to thank everyone for their extreme generoursity and fantastic crafts in the FE. My kids loved it.
And believe it or not the family that left the potty book in Rebecca's pocket we owe you the world. She loves it!!!!and it was perfect timing. She takes it with her everywhere. Thank you all
As for Earl, we were one of the lucky families that rough seas do not bother us at all. We just had to watch where we were walking and I felt terrible for those were experiencing their first cruise and got ill. Thankfully it was only a few hours of it.
Hopefully we get the chance to cruise with y'all again in the future.

Sigh ..... already counting down to my next cruise....

We didnt get sick .... but we did on the cruise before... now that one was even worse.... I was on deck ten facing the ocean water for a couple of hours easily.
