Hi Everyone,

We got back last night from our terrific Panama Canal Cruise and had to go to work today. Did I miss anything?

What a great picture and what a cutie pie Haley is...hope your trip was great..

Jim Lewis announced last eveing in his talk that the next S.S. Member Cruise was going to be October 22, 2006. Now this sorta of messes up the 11 day cruise and the back to back that I have booked - decisions :confused3 That would be whole month of cruising with Disney - a whole month on the ship - just have to decide

Hi Arlene,

Yes, our trip was great. We had a blast. 14 days is definitely not too long to be on the ship. Between the 14 day and the 11 day, I don't think we'll ever be happy with a 7 day again! I booked another cruise while onboard, because I'm hoping if they announce the Mediterranean one, I'll be able to transfer it with my discount and ship credit to it. If not, no big deal, but I figured since I was on the ship might as well.

Haley didn't want to leave the Mickey Boat since she had such a great time with all the characters. I spent so much money on pictures, but I have great memories to keep forever.

Peter, that would be awesome! Deforest- I am assuming that is where a certain Tracy lives? Too bad we aren't closer to MA- I'd love to go to Boston again and the CAPE!

Madison is pretty cool- I'd drive there and stay. I see we also have other takers from Michigan....

COME ON DEBBIE!!

We will plan on working something out for April...

Congrats Scott and Lynn- look at those Magic fingers!

I hear it has a Mickey room, with three new Mickeys and a new litho too!

Welcome back Tracy and all of the other cruisers. Coming up on one year soon. Mike

Welcome back to all the repo cruisers! I can't believe that none of you found out any info about the 2007 cruises they have planned. They must be keeping it top secret. Usually a cast member or two will spill the beans :rotfl:

Would 2 crazy Canadians, that don't live too far from Michigan, be able to join your Dis Meet next year?????

It would be fun to see some of our May Repo cruisers again and to meet some of the August Repo cruisers!!!!!!

You can come to Wisconsin too! The only problem is with all the new friends I have met and will meet, I'm limiting my visits to people I've either cruised with or will cruise with on the 11 day ;) :rotfl2: I guess you'll have to come if you want to meet me :rotfl: :cloud9: Just kidding Debbie, you're always welcome here!

The celebrity-designed Mickey Mouse statues that debuted at the Walt Disney World Resort last fall to help honor Mickey Mouse's 75th anniversary will be up for bid on Sept. 27 in New York City.

Sotheby's is working with The Walt Disney Company to auction the 75 items, which toured the nation after their Walt Disney World debut as part of a special tribute titled "Celebrate Mickey: 75 InspEARations."

Each sculpture, measuring 6 feet in height and weighing in at more than 700 pounds, reflects the unique design styles of notable artists, actors, musicians, athletes, Disney Legends and more. Sotheby's expects the auction to generate more than $1 million for charities designated by the artists.

Designs range from TV personality Ellen DeGeneres' "Ellenland" motif (for the Ilitch Charities for Children) to "Mickey Mouse Club" alumnus Annette Funicello's "Always My Angel" creation (for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Southern California Chapter) to tennis great Andre Agassi's "Love All" vision, pictured above (for the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation).

Some of the participating celebrities offered their creative inspiration to artists who developed the finished statues, while others, including comic Rosie O'Donnell and Disney Channel star Raven, painted their statues personally.

The auction will accept bids in person, by phone through a Sotheby's representative, online at www.ebayliveauctions.com and by absentee bid forms. Pre-registration is required to take part in the auction. For complete details, including absentee bid forms, the registration process, auction contacts and more, visit www.sothebys.com/mickey.

Editor's note: If you place a winning bid and become the proud owner of a "Celebrate Mickey: 75 InspEARations" statue, tell us about it by e-mailing us at VacationMagic@disneyvacationclub.com. You may see yourself, and your new mouse, in an upcoming Member publication.

Operational updates
From time to time, attractions at Walt Disney World Theme Parks undergo refurbishment, temporary closure or seasonal operation. Be sure to visit the online calendar at www.disneyworld.com prior to your visit for the most recent listing of attraction closures (subject to change without notice).

Thanks for the info Peter. We are going to Walt Disney World the 24th of this month through the 1st of October. We are going with Katie, her mom and dad. This will be Katie's first trip to the Disney castle as she has reminded us every day since the 1st of January :rotfl: 3 years old and will be able to walk us into the ground. Grandpaw(me) may have to get on of those scooters to keep up with her. :moped: Mike
