The Magic/Wonder is 48 ft longer. There are at least 875 plus phones on the DCL ships a lot more if you count cell phones.

I slipped on the ice yesterday helping a WHP Trooper get his patrol vehicle unstuck, I think I tore my rotator cuff, having a hrad time typing, wonder if this could be considered Workmans Comp?

Depends who you believe. The stats in our cabin showed the Grandeur as 1016 feet long. I guess over time it has shrunk :lmao:

Take care of your shoulder, that is a painful injury.

:sunny: GOOD MORNING ONE AND ALL :sunny:
Wonderful morning here in middle america. :surfweb: If you don't mind rain
stormsmiley.gif

It is 52° so that is great for the last of January. If the liquid sunshine abates, may try to get my miles in this morning.

Still recovering from grandson's birthday party last night. 15 scheming and screaming ten year olds eating lots of sugar and playing video games.
Actually, things went pretty well. I'm just glad I'm not there for breakfast this morning.

Everyone have a wonderful day and a magical week.
(I know....this is the same post as on the 14 day board, but I'm lazy this morning)

Sorry to hear about the rotator cuff. Guess that keeps you out of the starting rotation for a while. :)

Workmans Comp. Don't know about in WY, but here it is hard to get. If they want to be difficult about it, they could question whether or not you were doing activities that are in your job description, ect. blah yada yada. Good luck.

If you were on the clock- yes it would be workmans comp.

Rotator cuff- ouch!

Moi??? Why would you think that I gave Peter your number?

Hope all is ok with your patient.

Tracy

 hmmm

Actually I don't mind people having my number- as long as I'm not called when I am trying to sleep for work. I have my family trained not to called after 8pm- otherwise they get yelled at. :furious: I take my job seriously and being rested is important so I can take of others. If you're going to work 12 hours in the ICU, you need to be on your game.

I hope my patient is okay too. I would be surprised if she is still alive- she is 88 and not doing well. She hasn't spoken in 7 days and while her blood pressure was low, she opened her eyes and told her family, "No more." :sad2: Gives you the chills. I'm almost scared to call the hospital to find out.

Just back from the ER, Serious Shoulder Sprain, YEAH!!!!! I was dreading the other.

Just haev to sling it for a few days, and quit trying to check the range o motion. Tylenol, and vicodin for the pain. ER doc tried to give me naproxin, I questioned that as it is not a good thing for Gastric Bypass patients.

Typing will be poor for a few days, no pool session for SCUBA class today, classroom only.

I have no set shift and am on call 24/7. We will see, mighht as well try.

Hi Scott

Glad to hear it's only a "serious shoulder sprain". In my limited experience, sprains sometime take longer to fix then more serious injurys. Take it easy and don't push it!

Glad to hear that it is not the rotator cuff- those are bad news! However, I know that sprains still really hurt. Take it easy. I had no idea that you had a bypass- who knew- I've had many patients with those who can't take pills of any sorts, you should see us scramble trying to find liquid forms of certain pills. I know why he wanted to give you the naproxin- it does a good job of reducing the inflammation.

Well since I don't have vacation pictures to share, how about some pictures of the Lady Washington. She starred in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie as the Intrepid.

I think I posted this before but here it is again with some new info.

DIVE QUEST
After the Sept 17, 2006
11 day cruise

While at the Dive Equipment Manufactures Association (DEMA) show in Las Vegas, we learned that the WDW Living Seas Dive Quest Program could be booked for the 6:30 special group rate of $1,000.00. This is for up to 12 divers. The normal cost of this experience is $140 per diver. So if we got 10 divers we could do this for the cost of $100 per person, or $125.00 if there were 8 divers, or $83.33 if there were 12 divers. (You get the picture.) This is a great deal.

We could book it under our dive company Soggy Moose.

For those you not familiar with the program here is a brief description taken from WDWinfo.com. DiveQuest: This three hour tour starts with a behind the scenes look at the operation of the Living Seas followed by a 40-minute dive. You’ll swim amidst the colorful fish, sea turtles, sharks and 65 other species of marine life. It’s always smooth seas at this unique diving venture. PLEASE NOTE: Ages 10 and up. Guests ages 10 to 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Younger guests will need proof of Jr. SCUBA certification. Adults are also required to show proof of SCUBA certification. All equipment is provided including fins, tank, buoyancy compensator, weight belt, mask, and a 2.5mm shorty wetsuit. (You may bring your own mask.) You’ll have access to changing rooms with showers, and you are asked to bring a swimsuit. No cameras/videotaping allowed. Other members of your party may be able to photograph you from inside the exhibit. (Park Admission will be required.) Jewelry is not permitted and expectant mothers cannot participate.

Currently here is a list of those who have indicated some interest:

1. Ken
2. Shari
3. Celeste
4. Wide Awake DH
5. Scott
6. Lynn
7. Adrienne
8. Lesley
9. Robert
10. Jeff
11. Jenn

So if you are interested let us know and we will see what dates are available. My thoughts at this time would be for either Friday or Saturday night after the cruise. Friday could be better as folks will be traveling back early on Sunday. What think Ye.

Just off the phone with WDW Tours, we can book this at the 180 day mark. That is April 2, at 7:00 AM EST. This Food and Wine Festival Time and a weekend so it might be a sought after slot.

Please confirm your interest and we will see what we can do if the telephone gods smile upon us.

Vicki, are you and GaRry on this cruise, did I miss something? If ya got the sign ya gotta be going. This is also turning out to be a Western Inaugural reunion cruise. With you guys I can think of 4 couples that were on that 1st Western Cruise.

The couple that we are sailing with - David and Janis were also on the Westbound Repo.

Went to Animal Kingdom this weekend to ride Expedition Everest - WOW - it was awesome. Also, saw Fesitval of the Lion King and thanks to all of you laughed out loud when I heard "Paws Up!" :cool1:

As Scott said, Shari and I are very interested in participating. We did this just before the May Repo last year with Scott and Lynn. It's a very unique dive experience. It would be even more fun with a full group of cruise buddies.

Hey Scott,
I am still interested. I don't really know what is involved in getting certified to do this- but maybe you could fill me in or refer me to a good website. I will also ask my physician if he objects to me diving with my asthma and my other medical issues. I will see him for follow up on my knee after the MRI is completed and I have started physical therapy.

Hey, life is short- why not try to live it to the fullest? Sounds like an awesome experience.

Celeste

Hope the shoulder is feeling better.

Celeste, sent you a PM with info.

Shoulder is feeling better, really resisting the desire to check range of motion and strength. I am being good.

Back to the couch.

HI Everyone,
Take me off the list of cruiser's. We had to cancle the 11 day, and book a 7 day. We have to much vacation planned for 2006 so we had to cut some day's off somewhere. Hope everyone has a blast!! :confused3

Teri

Bummer Teri, we will miss meeting you, do enjoy your new plans. Some day the cruise or WDW paths will cross.

Don't want to get in the middle of something, but here is the DCL Ship Facts Page.
The number of phones is mentioned about halfway down.
