Wow! I had no idea that anyone really was keeping track of that anymore. I guess we can count on Captain Crash to keep us all up to speed. :lmao:

Now...

... you didn't think I actually COUNTED page by page who had posted how many... now did ya??? LOL!

And no - I was NOT really counting - it was just a whim to post it since I did not have enuf time to read back too far ta get caught up. I've been wacked in the last couple of weeks with severe allergies and a subsequent sinus issue with tough cough - and I even stayed in bed a couple days unable to talk (95% voice gone - and 100% of the time folks knew I had a bad and injured voice so I've been walking or reclining "wounded" for a few days/weeks).

At any rate... I got a mountain of work to attack tomorrow. Not sure how much will get knocked off.

TTFN! :wave2:

Well Turkey day and the whole weekend were spent packing and cleaning. Lynn still has a bunch to do. She is a real trooper working hard.

I am back in Cheyenne and Lynn should be here on 12/1, her birthday, I better plan something, like a special TV diner or pizza.

It was good to see the pups.

Hang in there Scott.

Hope that everyone made it home safe and sound. Mike

Christmas at Arlington and one big, American thank-you is certainly due to Merrill Worcester and the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington, Maine. To do something like this year after year is above and beyond the call of duty. Here's a salute to you, Merrill, and I hope you get many more.

I had never heard of this. I have only visited in the summer months. I wonder why the press hasn't enlightened the public about it?

Rest easy, sleep well my brothers.

Know the line has held, your job is done.

Rest easy, sleep well.

Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held.

Peace, peace, and farewell...

Readers may be interested to know that these wreaths -- some 5,000 -- are donated by the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington, Maine. The owner, Merrill Worcester, not only provides the wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. He's done this since 1992. A wonderful guy. Also, most years, groups of Maine school kids combine an educational trip to DC with this event to help out. Making this even more remarkable is the fact that Harrington is in one the poorest parts of the state.

You hear too much about the bad things people do. Everyone should hear about this!

Good Evening.
Could not decide if I wanted to do this post or not.
I have been putting it off for several days.

Last Friday evening, Tippy, our friend, companion and wonderful pet,
passed away in her sleep. She will be dearly missed.

Bob and Lee....pixie dust headed your way. Thanks for sharing your memories at Tippy's place. It brought tears to my eyes. What a great tribute to Tippy.

Bob and Lee - I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Having been there recently I can well understand the tears but she is waiting at the rainbow bridge. Hugs from Michigan.

Since I referenced the Rainbow Bridge I though maybe I would share the poem. Someone sent this to me when we lost our first greyhound.

RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that Pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor, those who where hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from you heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together……..

Bob and Lee - we are sorry for your loss. Tippy was one of our cruise family and we will miss the pictures of your adventures. Your tribute page was great.

For all you divers out there - I recently subscribed to SCUBA Diving magazine again. We really don't dive very much except when we get to dive with Scott in the fish tank at Epcot. But it was fun to see a story about diving in the Channel Islands area near Ventura in the January 07 issue. And you Florida divers should take note - the water temp reported in the story was a toasty 55 degrees (that's probably to warm for Scott).

Bob and Lee, I am so sorry. Our furry children often leave as big a hole as anyone else in our hearts. :grouphug: It was so much fun to see her pictures and hear of her escapades over the last year. Thank you for sharing her with us.
