Target had 2 ltr, 12 packs of cans and 16 oz bottles :Pinkbounc So I bought one of each small bottle. Tried the Strawberry & Creme and it was good. Bill said it had a Pepsi aftertaste though :rotfl: I guess you can tell we are Coke people.

I have no idea how to get my Michigan wine to Florida now. I do still have a hardsided Samsonite suitcase (even on wheels) that I am considering but what a mess if they are broken - not convinced I want to chance it. I don't want to ship it either - just call me chicken.

Then I remembered the rest of the story - we can't bring anything home either! DS likes Royal Crown and it is much cheaper in the duty free shop on the ship (now say that fast five times) than here at home so he was expecting some of that as well as some rum - DH too.

But - safety before play!

Wrap it in bubble wrap, put inside large ziploc bags (the travel guru on the news said use two ziploc bags, just in case) and put in your checked luggage. Depending on your airline, the weight limits are lifted until between now and sometime early December.

Thats them, trying to remember if their products were at Publix, or ABC store over by the outlet mall???

Hey Leslie, does Walmart, in FL, carry wine???

Super Target has a great selection of wine...excellent prices Scott, if you are looking to pick some up when you arrive in Orlando.

Well, we should have a nice day in Davie today. I need to get some sun or I am going to fry on this cruise, lol :rotfl2:

Time to head over to the grocery store since I can see clear to the bottom of the fridge, lol :rotfl2:

Hope you all have a great day!!! :cool1:

I think they are the same ones that make Coco Polada wine....I had that at the F&W also! Didn't taste the mango since i'm allergic to that particular fruit.

Are you sure? This twin is definitely not allergic to mango :teeth:

I have packed many bottles of liquor in my bags in the past. Only once did we have an issue and I didn't pack it. Bill packed a four-pack of full size bottles without wrapping them. With only a piece of cardboard between each bottle, the cheap bottle broke. It was coconut rum.

Imagine Bill's surprise when we went to pick up our luggage in the terminal and found it in a plastic bin, smelling like coconut.

The only reason I stopped putting liquor in my checked luggage was because of the weight limits. I will ship my one bottle of Rosa Regale to the ship for the first cruise (I won't see my twin before that one) because we are doing the shuttle from the airport so I won't see my luggage before we are onboard. Want to make sure I have the wine chilled before sailaway. The rest I will ship to my twin since I'll need it for the wine and cheese party at OKW :thumbsup2

Have a great time at the winery today!! Wish I could join you :teeth:

I should mention -- I listen to Yahoo Music all the time. Programmed my own station by rating songs, artists and albums. A few days ago I changed the rating on JB's music so that they would play it more often. First song this morning was Margaritaville. Now Changes in Latitude is on :thumbsup2 I am so ready for vacation  :cheer2:

Gail,

Why don't you purchase one of those wine shippers? I've found them through the local larger liquor stores. They have the styrofoam inserts just like the wine I get shipped from CA. You can still check it as luggage even though it's a box. Each case counts as one suitcase. I've done this many, many times before with all of my Napa/Sonoma trips to CA.

Hi! Didn't we talk months ago about getting together before the cruise? Before I had to "disappear" for the surgery?

Sweet Sue

Hey - I was putting together my list of things to do on the cruise and noticed that Monday is a VERY busy day. Any chance of moving stuff around a bit? We've got the PJ party, scrapbooking class and wine meet all on the same day. Then nothing for Tuesday? :confused3

Sweet Sue

Don't you mean Monday is a very busy day? We're going to Palo that night too so it will be a busy day.

Yes, I am still pages and pages behind in answering posts.

Sue, I just wanted to say that I may not make it out to the pool by 2:30 (unless of course I can't get in my room yet, but I pray that won't happen). I will try to be out there by 3:30 or so, but I will really need a nap after flying all night.

I've never been to Grill's either, so I'm really looking forward to that -- I didn't realize you could watch the sailaway from there! Let me know what time you plan to leave for Grills so I don't accidentally miss it, please. How far is it from the Radisson?

Beth

I think we'll be leaving around 3:30 or 4, but not sure about any of this either!

Experts out there - how far is it to Grills? What time does the Magic sail by? What time should we leave? HELP!

Sweet Sue

Good Morning folks!

Hi Sue,

Yes, we did talk about getting together. You, Leslie and I should do that since we are all fairly close.

Grills is maybe 3-5 minutes from the Radisson and that is if you have to wait for the stop light. Most of the seating is inside, they do have some tables on the little deck outside but it has always been too hot to eat out there when we are there.

Just found a really good wine, easily transported if you have to fly.

Virgin wines (yep, same as airline and record store). We tried a shiraz and a chardonnay. It comes is plastic bottles, single serve 4 packs. Bob and I couldn't believe how good they both were. Stand alone, or with food.

Just a thought to try and help some of you out!

The time is correct. The newsletter says it's the 18th, but Elaine's post says 19th. I'll fix the newsletter later.
