I don;t believe anyone will be turned away from the beverage bar regardless of mug or drinking aparatus, ie. caps with feeder lines from twin reservoirs, etc. but to be in the Bubba of the Month picture, I would assume they would frown on non-Bubba Kegs. So if you want to be included in the picture you must have a Bubba Keg.
Understood.

Ok, Vicki and I just got back from dinner (she read this first) and told me. After dinner, we went to a local "Big Lots!" (basically a cheep liquidator chain for those who don't know). She had seen a keg there and suggested I just go ahead and get one and we'll ship it. So, I now have a 20oz red Bubba Keg! :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 We'll just ship it to the ship along with our snorkle equipment.

Oh, I'm still bringing my CSR mug, though (64oz IIRC). :bounce:

As for CM reaction ... I remember the first time I took it ... 3 years ago during the great Norwalk Virus scare on cruise ships. CM's were handling everything for you ... all buffets and the Deck 9 Drink Station. The first time I took it up there, the guy was only going to let me get the 1 cup that he was doling out!  I said, "OK", poured the cup into my mug, then immediately circled to the back of the very short line! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Next time up, I said, in a very calm, rational, even jovial voice, "I can do this all day until my mug is filled, or we can go ahead and fill it up, please." He saw reason and we both laughed. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Second encounter (on the same cruise) was at Beach Blanket Buffet ... going thru the line with the mug on my tray, I noticed the CMs serving from the other side of the counter all tapping each other and pointing in my direction. My first instict was to check my fly :teeth: , but instead I just held up the mug and announced "ok, guys, get a good look at it!" Again, a good laugh was had by all. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

OK, tonight I finally wanted to attach a picture to a private message and I couldn't figure it out!

What and where is Photobucket, please?

Beth

Bethe...

to insert a picture you type IMG with brackets ... like this
.

You can use your own images IF you upload them to a web host like photobucket - which is FREE. That is another can of worms - but not that complicated once you've followed the directions. I do not use photbucket - although I should given the bandwidth problems I am having with the host I am PAYING for... dotphoto.com.

Alternatively... you can SKIP using your photos and just use images that are already posted on the web! Yeah... you can rip off (borrow) almost any image that you find on the web! Just right click over any image and select "properties". In the middle of the pop up window is a URL line. Copy it and use that! Just be sure the image you are using is the RIGHT SIZE for your purposes. I think something about 400x300 pixels shows nicely. Anything under 150x150 is a postage stamp and hard to make out.

FOr example ... look at the page from DCL for St Kitts...
http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/dcl/en_US/ports/spDetail?name=StKittsLandingPage

ANd I am going to "borrow" the St Kitts image with a right click... copy the URL from the properties window. I expect the image to be the same size as it appeared in the DCL page. Here it is....

StKittLowBandwidth.jpg

Oh yeah... you want URL addresses with a JPG ending... and you want to use the click and drag to select - and probably a control "C" to copy and a control "V" to insert. Saves a lot of tedius typiing and copying character by character.

I hope this helps. If not - please feel free to post more specific questions that address the point at which you are bogging down. I am running out for some errands before the store closes at 10PM. I'll be back to lurk later tonight... as usual. COme satuurday I will be out of town and off line a lot more!

Gosh... this really sounds so beautiful! WHAT a wonderful fantasy to have come true with DCL! WOW.... (snif ~ seriously).... this is great!

Cheers, Tom :thumbsup2

Thanks, Tom. Believe me, it was even more beautiful than it sounds. He took me dancing every night in the Promenade Lounge (I love to dance, but I'd been alone for 14 years so I was a bit out of practice!) He came to my cabin every morning (bothered my cabin mate a few times, I'm afraid) to bring me coffee and breakfast. He took me to brunch, tea, and dinner at Palo. He escorted me to my spa appts. and then met me when they were over. How could I not fall in love wih the guy?

I don't know why you aren't receiving my e-mails in a timely fashion. I am tech challanged but have come along way. I will make an extra effort to insure everyone is included in the address line, but I thought I was doing pretty good with that one. :goodvibes

If you go to post #5 and go to get a pirate name. go to the last url for getting a name and go to their links, there is a huge list of pirate providers.
Most are pricey, but all the major, big, inexpensive places can be found as well. kind of round about but it will get you there. Lot's of interesting sites. pirate:

Beth!!!!

I just read your "Magic"al Love Story post and you had me in tears! Now, granted, I am a bit of a sap who cries at Hallmark commercials, but that was so sweet! I had no idea that you and Harry didn't know each other before our repo cruise!! Oh, it gives me goosebumps!! Big hugs to both of you for such a wonderful love story! :grouphug:

Thank you, Laurie. I am a sap too, so don't feel bad! I cry sometimes when I just think about how lucky I am to have found such a wonderful man.

I don't think it's anything you're doing or not doing -- I see my name on there, it just takes forever to get to me! Guess your emails like to take the long way to Seattle :rotfl:

Thanks for the help, Tom, but in this case it was an image of the magnetic message boards I wanted to PM to the contributors. I only had it on my computer -- didn't realize it had to be online somewhere. I don't have time to mess with uploading images right now. So I will have to email instead of PM.

How much were yours and which colors do you have?? I might have a use for ONE as I have already bought a pair of Bubba Mugs for Mickey Ice Cream Bar Race trophies... but I was about to divide the race into 3 catagories. My dear daughter pointed out that she does not eat Mickey bars vbery fast so ... ... being in charge of the event I was considering making 3 competitive groups .... age 15+.... age 7-14 then zero to 6. Heh-hee-heh... she DOES have a point that the younger kids have little chance against a serious teenager in finishing off a Micky Bar 1st!

my daughter said the same thing, she actually wasn;t too thrilled with the contest, I thought she'd love it, guess she plans on enjoying her mickey bar ..you might have one less participant for the kiddies...she's 8 :)

mine were $4 for the 54oz and 3.50 for the smaller version. well, all I have of extras are the larger one's, i think i have 3 green and 1 each of blue and the hot pink

Hee hee hee! I made it to the top of the page - and all because everyone else is sleeping or has a life or is busy or doesn't care or is tired because they posted ten million times to get to 8500 and don't have any words left.

Doesn't matter - I made it to the top of the page! :thumbsup2

Sweet Sue
(uh-oh, I think I've passed over to the dark side......)

it is oh so easy, isn;t that right captn? :goodvibes

Thanks to all who responded to the call for help in paying for the message board gifts. :grouphug: Here is the final(?) list of contributors:

BethE and Harry in Michigan
Vanessa and Dick (Richie)
Dan and Vickie (minniemouse71)
Michael and Laurie (Q's My Princess)
Linda (bluewaves)
Gail (#1Mouse)
Carol (Scrappy910)
Sandy (sandym)

Cruisers with GTY cabins, those who choose to not post their cabin #, and any who change cabins from what is on the roster, please let one of the people listed above or your floor monitor know your cabin number by day 2 or as soon as possible, so we can get your boards to you. We will deliver to the cabins on the roster on day 1, so if you switch cabins, due to an upgrade or whatever, check your originally assigned cabin door to see if your board was left for you there.

A special thank you to TDCNala for designing :artist: our lovely cruise logo and then basically redesigning it at a higher resolution for use on these magnetic message boards. I have one reserved for you!
