Yep - that is where I am. Born here as was my oldest DS. The high school here was the first chartered high school in Ohio, making it the oldest chartered high school west of the Allegheny Mountains. Vic Janowicz (won the Heismann Trophy in 1950) graduated from EHS too. That was before my time though. OK - sorry for the history lesson.

Do we need a history lesson alert now too? :confused3 :confused3 I hope the trip to Ohio worked out ok in your plans. I know you thought it was going to be difficult to get there.

Gail, Glad you trip is going well, and hats off to your dad for two knee replacements. Hope it dosen't rain all weekend.

Thanks Scott. He had his first knee (right one) done almost 20 years ago and this is the one that they just re-did. He also has an artificial left knee (done maybe 4 years ago) plus a hip! He is doing better but it is still swollen and bruised but he is getting around with a walker. His spirits are good so I am sure that as his physical therapy progresses he will be back to normal soon.

Good morning everyone. This weekend is for door signs and trying to figure out how to make a fish extender - lol. I had grand plans of making my own and then work got in the way. Hope everyone has a GREAT holiday

Sorry Tracy - no more history.

Traffic was all headed in the other direction while in Michigan and not bad in Ohio either but I got started yesterday around 9:00am and got here by 3:00 so I imagine there were lots of people still working. I will leave early Monday to head home and I expect that the Michigan traffic will be headed south as I travel north.

Sounds like your Mom had a great evening! Tell her a belated :bday: from Ohio.

Gail, No History alert need here. :goodvibes

Wow two knees adn a hip, glad spirts are doing well.

Just packed up the SCUBA gear for the class today, I saw the fins Lynn wants to take on this cruise, I have no clue where mine are, other than in a box in the garage. :goodvibes :rotfl: :rotfl: And So It (the packing quest) begins....

Company's almost here....who knows when I'll be back. :rotfl2:

Looks like a great day ahead.

Everyone enjoy the weekend.

I just got an e-mail from Skype technical service. They are aware of the problem with contacts flashing between online and offline even though the contacts are online the whole time with the new version. They are working on the issue and it will be fixed on a future release.

Hi, I'm just darting around the past pages trying to catch up and saw the mention of a 17 yr old on the cruise....that may be my son DS17 Andy, not sure what the conversation was exactly, also from reading your post I'm not sure if you are still going on this trip, at any rate....

Earlier I was trying to see or really just hoping that there would be other teens on board for my son to hang out with.....PIT is really mean and won;t let her 17 yr old come along...booooo hissss :goodvibes

Hi. Yes I'm still going on this cruise. I'm sooooo excited. I Can't wait even though I had just got back from the Disney Magic like last week. I'm sure that there will be some teens on board. Hopefully both your sons age and mine. Since I know its hard for college and High School kids to take off. Except when it comes to my High School since we NEVER learned anything. :rotfl: (got to love the Philadelphia School District) Thats ashame PIT wont let her 17 year old come along.

Hey y'all - late night for me again. I second or third or whatever the sentiment of where's everybody. Must be the holiday weekend. We went to pin trading night at DLR and there were almost no regulars there. It was scary - loaded up on some new lanyards though - hope this time I do something with them. :teeth: I usually place them on my boards and admire them. Except this time, maybe I'll bring them to WDW w/us.

PIT - I used to live in Compton for the 1st 10 yrs of my life. Off of Willowbrook and Rosecrans. Each weekend night starting Friday was a designated "race" night and my father would lock us in starting at 6:30 pm. I lived there from '66-'76. I once took my DH to 'visit' my old stomping ground and he couldn't take it - he flipped out and only made it as far as the railroad tracks. :rotfl: I got a good laugh out of that. However, as you said during the day it isn't bad and I did jury duty there in June - they have actually cleaned up the place - I was impressed - for Compton that is.

CC - we also have no plans this weekend, must be because we're sailing in about 2 weeks time - couldn't quite justify another weekend in Vegas. That and I didn't want to take a chance on losing everyone's gifts. :lmao:

Anyway, dropped off my 2 babies at the Country club and made sure that they are having their yappy hour each night with other spoiled pooches along with their private play time and ice cream. Ive felt so bad for them because I usually play with them each day but because of the surgery and recovery time, didn't want to jeopardize myself. I told myself that they will be ok - at least they will have others to play with - that and my Isis is in heat and for some strange reason (I have no idea why - :rolleyes1 ) she gets rather moody and depressed - I swear sometimes acts more human than I do. That's ok - she fits right in. :rotfl2:

PIT - had to laugh at a somewhat similar situation, we're merging onto the fwy when DH rolled the window down (one of the dogs broke wind) and Isis ran to the window and stuck her head out - while I'm reaching back to make sure she's buckled in - I was able to witness the driver next to us almost swerve and hit the car next to them when this wolf-like head pops out of the window. I just saw his hand go to his chest and burst out laughing. Guess he'll think twice next time he decides not to let us in as we're merging. :lmao: It's moments like that that make me laugh.

Oh well - time for another post as I have TONS to catch up to CC
Why do they always blame the dog :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Good evening everyone! We went out to dinner tonight and then to Toys R Us.

I got my 4 CD set that I ordered on JB - Boats Beaches Bars & Ballads! I am enjoying it! :teeth:

Celeste or anyone else who may like to know - my niece just passed her Nursing boards - so she is now a licensed RN! She is excited! She has been worried about taking the test after she graduated. We are very proud of her!

Tell hers congrats from me Linda. It's best to take them right after graduation- you either know it or you don't. Good for her! :woohoo:

:thumbsup2

Hey all! Sorry I haven't contributed much lately. Yesterday was my 30th birthday ( :sad2: )...my mom thought it would be hilarious to buy everything that had 30 on it at the party store and put it all over my house :furious: oh well...I'll survivie...lol The place where I bought the pins just got the contract for Home Depot (you can image how many pins that is?) So I won't get the pins until the 8th and will just carry them on. I can't believe we sail THIS MONTH!!
