You know Doug...

We feel the same way... seriously... we have had so many friends, family and other relations recently who came down with health complications and chronic (sametimes terminal) conditions - it makes me feel on one hand that we also want to do it all - and on the other we are simply thankful for how things are now. It's a somber thought sometimes - but at other times - I wax poetic with my spouse on our life choices and next steps.

At any rate - we wanna do it all too! Just we've gotta do it with 2 young kids in tow! AND we are all too happy to have the baggage!

cc,
The kid will make iit all worth while, once you get through the teen years with the girls.

Somewhere between 12-13 you will turn into the dumbest thing on planet earth. :joker:  Then it all turns around at 17 -20 and you find out that you really did a good job rasing a young adult. :thumbsup2

Then come the grandchildren which is one of the greatest rewards for being a parent !!! :jumping1:

Doug

Just out of sheer curiousity, does anyone on here have an applehead chihuahua? We have been looking for a dog to keep on the truck with us and after much thought and prayer, we have narrowed it down to three: A miniature schnauzer (the most popular dog truck drivers have on trucks due to their tolerance to heat and cold, and lack of health problems), a maltese (which I'm not really sure about, because I've heard about health problems and bladder control problems), and a chihuahua (which are probley the 2nd most popular truck dog). I just want a dog small enough to enjoy this truck.(and that I can carry around in my purse if I want) For a small enough dog this truck is a PALACE! I hate it when I see a German Shepard on a truck. Cruelty to animals if you ask me. Any thoughts on any of these dogs?

Teacup chihuahua. Would do just fine. Mike

Who has started packing?

I normally work till the wee hours, pack in the middle of the night, and then leave for the airport.

But I know a lot of you start early...

Less than 5 to go....who will get it

Edited to add.....

YIPPEE!!!! My first "milestone"!!!!!

Did I get it?

Original Announcement BELOW~!!!!!!

Are you ready to join the "2nd Ever DIS Mickey Ice Cream Bar Challenge at Sea" :mickeybar ??? Enter one or two (or more) to represent your family honor in this silly side show!!!!! I am "bestowing" AWARD certificates to every honorable participant who finished the race - the award certificates should boast the signature of the Wonders' Captain plus possibly a character or two! AND ... I've just added a "special SURPRISE Award" to the top winners in the two age catagories we have... the under age 15 and the 15+ catagories! :dance3:

Of course... this is "MY" event.... there are others to consider... but none where you are guaranteed a nice refreshing Mickey Bar + a guaranteed prize (while supplies last :confused3 ) signed by the Wonders' Captain if you finish it before everyone leaves the gathering! :lmao: Well... the Captains' signature is NOT assured... but last time I got it without any difficulty under the circumstances of our special DIS event. They are familiar with us DIS enthusiasts on board.... :thumbsup2 ... and as such they were enthusaistic and cooporative with my "special requests". I just could not get a character visit to the ice cream race to "officiate" the challange! RATS! :confused3

At any rate.... WELCOME to gang!

Of course, if you participate you'll have to sign the unofficial liability waiver against potential injury during the Le Mans style sprint to your Mickey Bar - or otherwise choking on the Mickey Bar as you race to inhale ... er, rather, ... dine on it in a speedy fashion! :rotfl2: OK... there really is NO liability waiver - but remember - participate at your own hazard Mate!!!! :rotfl:

Thanks for your BRAVE consideration in this fool-hardy adventure! Arrrgh! pirate:
:lmao:

My wife's mother had the small teacup one and she would fit in your purse. After she died we have her now. Her name is Dutchess. We call her Dutch.
