That is such a bummer! I will see if there is a way to pick up some extra pins. If they only let one per stateroom or whatever, we might not be able to do it. I will try, though. Sorry you can't go -- my husband would just cry if we had to change our plans at this point.

Bev and Lindsay This is a great bunch of the people your parents warned you about. Be sure to check out Page 1 Post 5 to get on the roster, get the newsletter and get caught up on all the goings on. Peter has done a great job and it will save you from a LOT of reading.

Thanks to EVERYONE for all their hard work. I know that I always look forward to a cruise but I am REALLY looking forward to this one and meeting some great people.

I think all we can do is do our best and work with the confirmed list we have. We will be mailing our gifts to the port, so finalizing them this weekend. I always have a few extra, just in case.

Your plan is our plan. Putting names/staterooms on in pencil, and will also have a few extra. WOW, looking at the calender got a shock, we need to send these puppies out soon, like 9/6 or less than a week away. Where did the time go. Tomorrow is September, fall colors will be starting soon, Kmart has Halloween candy out...

You're welcome. I believe the slumber party is just a joke. For the May repo last year the lines were always long for the limited edition pins so after one or two days, DCL released them all. The cruisers had to wait in link to receive a voucher to get the limited edition pins. The vouchers were to be handed out to the first 500 early the next day. So people lined up the night before so they could get the pins. This is why they called it a slumber party.

DCL learned really quick. For the August repo, they made enough pins for each cabin to get one set and took ordered the first week. We then stood in line to pick them up, but it wasn't nearly as bad. I doubt DCL would ever do it the first way again.

So sorry to say, no pin line Slumber Party on the Wonder. Now if people want to have a Slumber Party for some other reason... there's always that!

Off to work I go! We are now in single digits Nine more days and we'll be on the Magic. Kay I hope that system you spoke of yesterday won't affect either of the cruises. Four more work days left, but I have enough that has to be done for about a month's worth of work Unfortunately that means not much time for the boards. Tonight I'll continue work on the newsletter and hopefully it will be out tomorrow

Labor Day Weekend? Problems are a definite.

I know I will be on vacation but I really wanted the pics to look ok and I need good hair to accomplish that! As for the weight thing, i'm just sticking to this stinkin' diet until we get home then its CHOW DOWN for me! I just needed to fit into my dress clothes and now I can so I am a happy cruiser! As for loving me just the way I am, Thanks!!! (but you might not feel the same way after my thighs debut at the goofy pool! )Just Kidding!!!

We have no further information about the releaseof these pins and will not have until we get onboard and read the 1st navigator. While I think it would be great to spend the night camped out with 300 of my new friends throughout the ship, I'm doubting that DCL will permit such a thing to happen again. So people, please stop stressing about these two pins......they're only little pieces of metal afterall

Also, the 1st pin may not even be available on our cruise, if it sells out on the 10-day cruise. Sorry for the rant, just trying to keep things in perspective.

I tried to PM Mickbees to find out if they were still going on the cruise and I got a message that there is no such user. Anyone know anything about Mickbees?

Actually, it's just "Mickbee" - that's why you got that message. I've had a PM out to them for a while now - it's never been opened. They once told me that there was a good chance that they would cancel, and they said they would let me know. I haven't heard anything since. So my guess is that they have canceled, but without confirmation I still have name badges for them.

....and otherwise G'morning / Good afternoon folks... gotta run my 1st one to her 2nd day @ K-school and the 2nd girl to a dental checkup. Last nite' Al Jarreau / George Benson concert was pretty good! Benson was smooth and in great form while Jarreau belted out a long smooth set - followed by jointly sharing the stage with Benson for a stretch. What a performance!!!! SO.... I took my parents to the show and out for dinner at a new joint. It was cheaper and better then most of usual joints. The only problem was that roach crawling up the wall.... LOL! At any rate, my parents enjoied the show - more so my step mother then my old fashioned Dad. His thinking originates from pre-WW2 country thinking... so his mind wanders a different road then most... but even so .... the classic melodic jazz vocals of the last Bowl performance ... "the American Songbook" was cited by him as the best he'd seen at the Bowl in the last half decade. So he DOES appreciate music... just when it suits his narrow tastes! Oh - well....

So no pix from the concert... brought my camera but forgot my memory cards.... Arrrgh!

PLEASE NOTE - If you'd like to sign on to this "event" please PM Tom at CaptainCrash to be added.

Walk up entrants may be accomidated but we order in advance and might initially run out of Mickey Bars - so there may be limited space for last minute additions. Plus I would like to make personalized award certificates (for participating) in advance of the cruise. Please PM before September 14th to get a personalized award certificate OR leave a note by my cabin (5501 unless we upgrade) by the 24th for inclusion!​

The time and location will be the Monday the 25th (sea day after St Kitts) on deck 3 in the PROMENADE LOUNGE. 2 PM. Please come on by for the photo opp on the rogues gallery of participants! THE COVETED BUBBA MUG TROPHY will go to the winners of each group! Over and under age 15 groups. Plus if we have enough kids - I'd like to break the under 15 group in half so the younger kids have a chance to "win" something !

Wow. It is quiet today! I was looking for a quick break away from the daily grind - and it lasted all of 3 minutes!

This is going to be a busy weekend, getting ready to set sail. All the packing, shopping, etc we need to do. Have to get Adrienne new running shoes, as hers are worn out again, and I have to make sure she breaks them in before we hit Florida.
