Oh, Leslye!! Does that mean the UPS man is coming to my house today???

Congrats on your docs! :cheer2:

Laurie: Don't know. Do you have any special goodies for him if he does? :rotfl: Yippee for us -- gotta love our valley, but I can't wait to get to WDW and on the cruise!

OK...

I'll fund it... but the million is gonna be a future value quasi-BOND... IE... investing $0.31 once at 16% daily compounding yields $1,020,708.48 over 99 years. OR... the future value of $1 at the 42 year historical average (1962~2004) for 10 year T-bill yield of 7.215% 99 years from now with an assumed annual compounding is $1,060.61. That is realistic - as is the unlikelihood of my chipping in a real $942.85 which is exactly what is needed under the latter T-bill based example for a US govt. 10 yr. bond based $1,000,000 payoff... in 99 years at an assumed constant 7.215% yield every year.... Tax FREE!

OK, I'll put up the first dollar if you can raise the other $941.85 to match for a $1,000,000 prize! So NOW my money is technically on the line... just not exactly enough for the entire $1KK. But I have a FAIR plan... (below):

Bond-Chart.jpg

tvwww.dll

Or, put another way ... lets' divide the $942 required by the number of TAG participants and we'd have a fair funding of a real prize! And I would be happy to manage the kitty over the next 99 years commisson free (after zero profit net expenses)! Or - so my aires will assume management or a designated trader after my retirement or passing - which ever comes first! I can have my general counsol draw up the contract in time for the sailing!! I'll even contribute his fees billed to me, as I have a balance with him that has sat there for some time unused anyways. Litigation has been light as of late.

And just to show I can come up with some form of $1,000,000 in the here and now... it would be possible for us to run a "hole in one" golf shot for the winner of TAG. We could run it om Castaway Caye or in Orlando at a real golf course. All we have to dois fund the insurance contract that covers against the possibility of the ONE golf swing MAKING the hole in one. I understand that these sort of things are common and inexpensive because the odds of a winner are infinatesmally small. I don't really know what it costs but it would be a real $1,000,000 chance... of a sort.

OR... we could just provide a lotto ticket to the TAG winner. THAT would be the cheapest ... and we could redeem the winning ticket to only deliver $1,000,000 to the TAG winner ... so any excess can reimurse the purchasor of the ticket (me). No golf skill required for that one - but I bet the odds of a hole in one are better than hitting a lotto ticket!

Hmmm.... shall I look that one up? :confused3

I kno... I need a padded cabin on the Wonder.... just get me one with a window and I'll be fine!
And... of course ... I'm just kidding! That is until I announce a crazy Ice Cream Race fee of 942 divided by the number of participants! LOL!

I didn't get it....maybe it was a table specific kind of thing?

Beth

No - we sat at our own table - just the two of us, on the 14-night. Send me your mailing address, and I'll get a set out to you.

I believe becoming a nurse practitioner will allow me the best of both worlds....management of a patient, while still being able to provide the love/care factor.

As someone who has dealt with more doctors than I have a right to over the years, I have to say that the best care I have ever gotten has been from NPs.

I think a lot of it is because they are actually willing to listen, and to talk through options and possibilities rather than dictating from on high. (My current neurologist would fall into this category as well - the reason I hav been seeing him for 10 years now).

WOHOW got my cruise docs today! First time I've ever gotten them before we left as last time they arrived two days after we headed to florida (joys of being in Europe)! So happy

:cool1:

Anyone notice the time change on the Docs for the Port in St. Lucia ? I thought we were there until around 9:15Pm, says 7pm now? Take a note of that if you have private excursions booked.

I saw that...

Curious, eh?

Ivan and others, I was able to download the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Brochure, so if you would like me to send it to ya PM me with an email address and I will send it out. :thumbsup2

Hi all, not posting much. Contractor time here. Lamar and Dad are living in the Carpenter house and Bubba, MO' and I are here on Sunrise. There is a definate echo in the house.

School is closed tomorrow. Things are being cancelled everywhere. Boxes and boxes of stuff are arriving for the cruise. Party favors for the wine tasting. Pirate stuff everywhere. Even a few flying monkeys!

Well I probably won't be posting any more. See you all in a few days on the ship. Anytime now they will pull the plug here.

Best regards,

Celeste: I know this is a dumb question: Why?

Also, got my cruise documents yesterday. Yippee. Only 11 more days until we leave for WDW!!!

Congrats on the documents.

I know Tracy pretty much covered the response....

When you are travelling to strange place and eating differnet food (on the boat or islands) you never know when you could have an allergic reaction. The benadryl could buy you some time until you can seek medical attention. I always travel with it for the adults and the liquid for my son. The cream can also be used if you rub up against something or get stung. (hydrocortisone also helps)

It's cheap and a good safety net.

Just my own opinion.

Just got off of the treadmill :woohoo:

Glad the the storm has not strengthened and hope that all in it's path are spared.

Have to go to Walmart and pick up a few things for the cruise and also some stuff for dinner. Just curious, how many like to eat breakfast at night instead of regular dinner fare once in awhile. Mike

Mike...I absolutely LOVE  "breakfast for dinner"! When we were kids it was always such a great treat and I have passed it on to my kids. :wizard:

What are your favorites??

I do. Especially if it's pancakes or waffles. Ooh, or Krispy Kreme's. Just thinking about that is making me put on pounds. :lmao:
