September 17, 2006 - 11 Night Southern Caribbean Part 2

I guess I could drive to Daytona (45 min) for a ?? min. flight to Orlando. So I could do the airline thing with most of the rest of you. But instead we will load up the MoM mobile on Sunday morning. My thoughts are I may be the last one here. I will remember to shut off the lights and leave the key for the live thread keepers.

I'm still around for a while. Not flying out until 2 on Saturday. You might be the last one left standing so make sure the place is all tidied up, wouldn't want the live threadkeepers to think we're slobs or anything.

Carol and Doug,
I have had my fish extender hanging on the carousel in my bedroom for months now. In all the packing I almost forgot it. I can't just stick it in my luggage. It'll get smushed. I just remembered it so I hung it over the rolling cooler with the wine stuff in it. Won't forget it for sure now. I pity the poor people behind us at the security screening. We have sooo much stuff to bring on board by hand.

You all are a great bunch, I was hesitant to join in so late and I am so glad I did. I can't wait to meet you all!

They did that on this cruise and next week's Magic sailing. Wouldn't be surprised if they did it on the Wonder too.

We are still here. WE are leaving tomorrow night and going to Orlando to stay with Bill's aunt for two nights and then she's taking us to the port Sunday morning. I am so ready to be done with work. My Boss is riding me hard right now about all I have to do before I can leave(which that is only funny if you know I work for myself). I swear it's alot of pressure to go on vacation but it will all be worth it once I taste the first shrimp on Sunday at the buffet.

We fly out tomorrow night at 11:45 pm unless we take a bump and then we will go back to the airport first thing Sat. am, hopefully getting on same flight with Tony/Adrienne and getting into Orlando around 4.

Our flight is looking pretty full now, so maybe I can get some $$$$$$$$$$$ for the next trip!

of course this is my Idea and Will have to run it past the Boss will be at port 0600 with Scott! Im Still Working have not got the layoff check yet and there is work to return to after the Cruise!!

Smushed is a word in my vocabulary. Glad you remembered it. Would of hated to see you miss the boat because you had to go back for it. Just don't let security confiscate it or the cooler. Can't wait for Sunday! Hope we get there before you. Will know what the hold up is if we have to stand in line a long time.

I swear it's alot of pressure to go on vacation but it will all be worth it once I taste the first shrimp on Sunday at the buffet.

Not likely. Hurricanes rarely hit the Southern Carribbean, which is part of why we are going down there. The greater risk (albeit small), is that the current storm will be close to Florida about the time we would be heading back. Which means a potential diversion to another port and being bussed back to Port Canaveral, or holding for a day while it clears out. (Both things that have happened in the past).

All of the scheduled events are in the mini-navigator.

Just a day and a half left, and I am done, and on the road!

Well....

... if we're talkin' about HELENE.... it looks too far away to reach us by Sunday. The track is a 3 day track is it not? SO in 3 days it is 500-1000+ (?) miles away - even within the 3 day radius of error.
