OK - back to my story - last month DH, DD and myself went to Vegas for a week - DS had a pool party which must have turned into an all weekender cuz the pool heater was left on and the air conditioner was left on - talk about Shock and Awe - are you all ready for this?

Bill came in Friday - $750! :scared1: :faint:

But that's not the worst part.........

That bill was for June - in addition to having our rates increased just before the major heatwave - some lame brained in my family (gee - could that have been me? ) decided to have an all-in-one party in addition to my celebrating the big 4-0 - we had an all nighter with casino night and ended up swimming at 3 am while the poker room was frying hot but the rooms upstairs were freezing - AC wasn't working in the poker room due to a small duct - can't wait to see what this bill is like - nothing like handing over $ to our utility companies - can anyone beat that? Gosh - I sure hope not - otherwise that means that others are married to Mr. Freeze also!

In the meantime, pray for us -  as we might have to mortgage our remodeled house to pay for the electric bill.

BEWARE - watch that heater - and NEVER NEVER trust a teenager to turn off the pool pump - they won't!

At this point - DH wouldn't complain about that $400 - wait until next month - be forewarned!!!!!! :faint:

corrupt me?? hmm, I wasn't the one laying in ambush capt'n :)

besides I'm already on the dark side as a loyal Black and Gold Brigade member!!

Hey any Raider or Chargers fans here? Steelers will finally be playing in Oakland this year after I think four seasons of games in Pitt. Anyone up for a roadtrip to the Black Hole! They also play SD again.

Just curious, I know Capt' Crash's wife is one but any other Steeler fans out there??

They play the jaguars I think on MNF 9/18 when we are at sea, maybe we can get together and watch the game in the Sports bar

That's too funny CtC (shortened it - hope you don't mind) (and little t to distinguish you from the regular CC) anyway - I've come home to find a crab, garter snake and underwear (not ours) in our pool - that last one was a little disturbing though - had the pool guy come out and sanitize and chlorinate the VERY next day - :rotfl2: :rotfl2: on can never bee too careful too - I've seen the video of the black bear in the jacuzzi in San Bernardino and the moose in the pool back mid-west or east - so a croc or alligator might not alarm me as much - :rotfl:

Yeah,

I had one residential electric bill for $12,788.39 for using 99,988 kilowatt hours!

I even framed the bill and have it on the wall here! ...

MATH WARNING: Ok - now what does that break down too?

My next ? Which one of you gets the title of Mr or Mrs. Freeze? No offense but I'm sure glad that you took that title from us - unless of course that was for more than 1 residential place (as in a duplex or triplex, etc - you get the meaning) than that doesn't count! :teeth:

Actually - I don't want that title - you keep it - :bitelip:
