Not to worry...you just need to be onboard the ship pretty early and make a mad dash to Wave Bands and see what is available. My understanding is that DCL does not put all the reservations online.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you....otherwise...I can see one of the first posts on the Live Thread...."PrettyinTink attacks GS because she was not able to get a Palo brunch reservation.....details at 11!!!!!!"

One of the Official September 11 Night Live Thread Keepers who secretly wishes she could be onboard instead
Thanks, I hope we can get to wave bands in time. Or else the headlines might read "PrettyInTink has emotional breakdown and clings to the legs of fellow passengers begging and pleading for their brunch reservations as the men in white coats come to take her to the looney bin" We pretty much got everything else we wanted. Couples Cabana Massage here we come! :woohoo: :woohoo: Anyone else doing the Eco Watercraft Tour on CC? Hope everyone's 4th of July was fun and safe! Welcome MommyCruisers  ! I am BURSTING with excitement over this cruise  We really need it, its been a rough year....

Hi everyone- I am one of Stacey's "escaping" moms. Or should I say- an "escaping" mom and wife. My name is Sharon and I live near Stacey, also in Cave Creek. Can't wait- can't wait. I have to pinch myself everyday- it's not a dream- I'm really going. I can't believe is only a little over 2 months away. Yup- I'm excited!!!

Welcome justmestace and sklimuck.
Good bunch of people ( ) here on this thread.

Cave Creek.
We spent a week there a few years back. Stayed at the Villas of CC. Nice area. Had a great time. This is the place where we were introduced to pepper beer and javelinas. Nice mexican restaurant there. Can't remember the name, but it had a pond on the inside.

I wonder if everyone is back from the holiday weekend yet or not. We know that Bob and Scott were around for the holiday :rotfl2: ;)
If you are talking about this Bob.... :confused3

Thanks for the welcome! Yep...Crazy Ed's Chili Beer...and the javalina are in my backyard all the time. Of course, my backyard is five acres of desert.....
My first apartment in Cave Creek was at the Villas, before they were Villas.....you should have seen what they looked like then. Had a snake come from the sewer into my toidy once. Nothing like it is now!
And the mexican restaurant is El Encanto. Or as we call it "Lake Taco".
It's an interesting little town, that's for sure!!

Good Evening. Life is good. :thumbsup2

Thanx to everyone that wished Tippy "Happy Birthday" here. One of you was even nice enough to send a e-card. Appreciate it everyone. She had a great day. A big hamburger, a small slice of cake, but she missed out on the frozen custard. We were drafted at the last moment to take our grandkids to Wolcott for the fireworks. It was fun.

Now, just my opinion, humble as it may be, if you get a chance for the brunch, DO IT. On the 14 day westbound, I enjoyed the brunch more than the dinner at Palo. The food was great and more to my liking.

One more thing I remember about the trip there, we took a desert tour with an "italian cowboy" (his words). It was a great tour. We even got a picture (somewhere) of us, him and his sixshooters and a big Saguaro.

We went out there to see Lee's niece who lives in Phoenix, but she thougt that Cave Creek would be more interresting that being in town. Right again. :thumbsup2

Hello am wondering if I can get any info on joining your group. I just made final payment and realized when someone mentioned disboards that maybe I should check to see if anyone was sailing this cruise. I have sailed several times and was even on the repo cruises last year. At that time didn't realize how big disboards was. If anyone can let me know who to contact to be put on any list if its not too late - would greatly appreciate any info. I apologize for any inconvenience as I have no idea where my brain went this past year. Anyway, I was skimming the first page and recognized one name (WinoTracy) but haven't had time to read posts, I remember that the August repo cruise was very well organized and was very much impressed by all the amt of work you all put into it. I felt so guilty for joining so late that I was embarrassed to show my face as I felt that I couldn't contribute, however, if you''ll accept me I will try and help in any way, shape or form that I can. My name is Laura and will be traveling with my husband and oldest son (this is his graduation gift from 2004 - he finally picked a location to visit - thanks to some prodding from me). We are on Deck 7 with a confirmed balcony however, if I didn't mention it already, have been EXTREMELY scatterbrained this year and can't remember which room it is other than that I was moved from across the laundrettes to the front of the ship. Anyway, thanks to anyone to responds - Laura :sunny:

Hi Laura, I remember you from last year! Check out page one, you can find out there how to get on the roster. I'll send you an e-mail shortly. Let me know if you e-mail address has changed. Welcome to the group!!

Tracy

:welcome: eeyorelvr10 and family.
The whole idea of this cruise and this thread is to have fun. Do not worry about what you can contribute. Like you said, Peter's post on page one is a good place to start. Ask about anything you are not sure about and just kinda go with the flow.

Your picture was most likely taken very near to my house. They run the tours up behind us.
Did you book your tour at the little place that sells Indian Fry Bread? Not too far from the Town Dump? Now THAT'S an interesting place.

I was referring to your 4 page back and forth with Scott the other night. I didn't think I went to bed that early that there would be that must posted the next morning. :rotfl2:

Just checking in while I have a minute. The little one is asleep and my dh is finishing up his work. We are STILL having work done on our house and it is very nerve racking. I am losing my mind. We re having more troubles then originally thought and are looking at racking up another lawyer bill to see what can be done about our "lemon". I wish there was a lemon law for houses like there is for cars.

Last night my DD was watching our lame small town fireworks and turned to us and asked where are the fireworks at Mickey's house..they are better. :rotfl2:

That was a good one from a 3 year old.

Welcome to all new comers!! Congrats to the newlyweds!!! And Huge hugs to little Christina!!

This cruise better get here soon! :thumbsup2

Talk to everyone later!!!

Tracy

Hi Tracy - my address should still be the same. if not, pm me as I will have to have my daughter refresh me on how to get around these boards - she's at work right now - gosh I am starting to remember how bad I was at these boards. I have sent phoenixa an e-mail and I hope that he/she has gotten it. However, I did get a pm from Ken and he was very helpful, I mentioned that I have trouble connecting via the outlook express link so I most likely will have to contact people via pm'ing or e-mail. Anyway, will catch up with posts later as I have some grouchy people to feed right now. Remember, I was always on VERY late at night. Well, the same is still going on. Please let me know if I can help in any way - thanks Laura :) :goodvibes :)

Thank you BobandLee for your wonderful welcome. Now this time I will be sure to attend yr meetings. I attended a few in the August cruise and everyone looked like they were having the time of their life (I got VERY jealous ;) ) so this time, I want to join in. I will read the early posts later on this evening as I am a VERY LATE bird.

Looking forward to having FUN on this cruise - Laura

Welcome

For all of us that could not go to Disney yesterday, here are the MGM fireworks :goodvibes
& the Magic Kingdom Fireworks

I just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone--things have been a bit hectic for me the last few months so I haven't been here much. Hopefully now I'll have more time to read and post. Mechelle and I will be at WDW for a few days prior to the cruise and we are looking forward to MNSSHP the Friday night before the cruise!

I guess it's past time to figure out what we'll do in the ports--I'm usually ahead of the game in planning but not this time... :confused3
I wanted to visit Harrison's caves in Barbados but I just got an email from them and they will be closed for refurbishment while we are there.

If it's not too late to be added to the pin list, I would like 4 pins please :)

Liz

Totally not related to this cruise, but for football fans . . . . .

We went to purchase season tickets for the Arizona Cardinals the other day because the new stadium is ten minutes from our house. Can you believe they are sold out?!?!?!?! These guys have averaged like 25,000 since we moved here in 1998! Guess the old saying "if you build it they will come" is true.

Hey ya'll! Just wondering if anyone is dressing up for Pirate Night pirate: ? I have already been scoping out costumes online. Also, are we gonna have 60s70s80s nights on the Wonder :confused3 ? We would love to dress up for these as well. The few people that do dress up on these nights seem to have so much fun!! My dh will have to break out the parachute pants and members only jacket for 80s night! Anyone care to join us?  :dance3: Just seeing if we are the only ones....

PrettyInTink,

DH and I will be dressing in our Pirate's attire! I'm so looking forward to it. If a lot of people don't dress in the Pirate gear, DH will make me walk the plank! pirate: It's okay, I can swim!

Welcome to all of our lurkers and newbies! Be afraid, be very afraid! This group will have the men in grass skirts, the women getting hooked on scrapbooking (Yeah! :cheer2: ), all of us being referred to as "Lanyard People", and just causing all around merriment! :rotfl2: You'll be hooked on Disney cruising!

Okay Fish Extender people, here's the list for the judging catergories that I have so far:

Adult Group:
Winotracy
first timers
Hygiene 99
glindamood
kpros & spros

Children's group:
Rockolamama

I know there are more people out there who are excited and anxious to be a part of this contest! We're really looking forward to seeing the talent that is in our group.

Haven't PM'd me with your category choice yet? Now's a good time and that's one less thing you'll have to do later.

Thanks for participating!
