Just wanted to ask a question about a shore excursion. I originally booked the St. John Island Tour, hoping that it stopped for some sunning at Trunk Bay. Just called DCL and asked if this tour stops at Trunk Bay. They didn't know the answer. Originally, I specifically didn't book the Trunk Bay snorkle tours because my DH couldn't be in the sun that long. He has been going through chemo and couldn't be in the sun. However, now the doctor said he will be ok to go in the sun in September. Last chemo was on Tuesday. The prognosis -- he is CURED!!! PRAISE THE LORD!

Any way, can any of you shed light on this subject. Thanks so much.

Only 57 more days until vacation!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Congrats!! Maybe you want to look at the Five Start Trunk Bay Beach and Snorkel. You go by boat to St. Johns and then by open air bus to Trunk Bay. You can snorkel from shore or sit on the beach. There is a fair amount of shade if any of you want to get out of the sun. We liked this one better than the Leylon Sneed one.

That's a great idea, if they're wanting beach time. We've taken two private sails over to snorkel, but this time, we've booked the St John Island tour...which doesn't allow for time at the beach. I want to see more than fish on this trip!

Tracy: I think I'm confused. Guess that's what I get from shopping for air fare all day!!!

The 5 star is the one on Leylon Sneed.

Are you talking about St. John Trunk Bey Beach & Snorkel tour (ST-01)?
Says you take a one-hour ferry and 15-minute taxi ride to Trunk Bay ...

Sorry, I didn't look them up first. Yes, the St. John Trunk Bay Beach & Snorkel was the one we liked best.

Actually we were in the water the entire time. I liked this one because we also got to see a bit of the island too. Unlike taking a private sail there.

:sunny: GOOD MORNING ALL :sunny:
Will be a beautiful day today...If you don't mind the heat and humidity. :lmao:

9 weeks and getting anxious. :teeth: :bounce: :Pinkbounc
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

I can see that we will have lots of DIS company on the St. Johns Island tour - can't wait :dance3: !

Debbie - I voted. What a cutie! He has a good lead so keep us posted on the progress.

Leslye - cograts on DH's prognosis, that is excellant news.

Hope everyone has some R&R planned for the weekend - too hot to move here practically so I won't get too much done. Youngest DS has his farewell concert tonight before his group leaves Tuesday for their trip - I hope the auditorium isn't too warm.

Mine is finished. Thanks for everyones help and advice. Considering I can't sew (I did it all by hand :rotfl2: )

See everyone soon!
:Pinkbounc

Tracy - I want to add us for four pins, how do I go about doing that?

Also, we are booked next year already for the June 16 Med. Is anyone else booked for a Med next year?? If so what do you guys think about re booking it on board??? Will there be the regular discount? Is that what I should do? Will I still then be able to transfer it to my TA???

Lastly, is anyone else just going crazy over waiting? I'm so ready to go. I'm on here everyday, planning and re-planning, boy has my ocd kicked in. I just need to be on the boat so I can relax. Will it ever get here? Nine weeks seems like an eternity right now, or am I the only one?? :hourglass

It does seem like an eternity. Fortunately, we'll be at WDW from September 5, so it's not quite so bad, only 7 weeks :)

Add to list one more bottle of Banfi / Rosa Regale seems other cruisers also enjoy it. DPD are you making the costco run :lmao:
Fun at Sailaway !!
:teeth:

TDE1969...I'm with you on being ready to go, just ask my DW! I check the boards everyday to see if there is anything new. Our 5 yr old wakes up every morning and ask if we are going to the Mickey's boat. He started to cry this morning when I told him I had to go to work so he could have extra money to spend on the boat, he thought I was going to the boat without him!

I hope everyone is staying cool...it was only 88, with the heat index at 95 this morning when I came to work (8 AM). It's only going to hit 97, w/the heat index around 105....and no that is not a DRY HEAT!

Wouldn't cruise without at least 6 bottles! :drinking:
Better bring an extra, Peter! ;)

Is that the Trunk Bay Beach & Snorkel?

Just checked the Passporter. Trunk Bay Beach & Snorkel, like you mentioned...a little of both, water & land.

The St John Island tour that we're doing is all land....no beach time. That's okay with me. More time for shopping later!!
