Just wanted to let everyone know that SweetSue's DD Christina is likely coming home from the hospital tomorrow!! :cheer2: She started eating food yesterday (jello, popsicles) and will likely be eating real food tonight.

If anyone wants any more information, let me know and I can pass along links or addresses as needed.

Tracy

Thanks for the welcome ScottH and PIT!

I have a few answers for all the questions being asked...
We are DVC members (Wilderness Lodge), we are staying at the Boardwalk for 4 days after the cruise. We have some friends that are driving down from Bama to go to WDW w/us. This will be our 7the DCL cruise and our 5 year old's 6th. NO, HE'S NOT SPOILED!!! I plan on joining the GSF. We will also be dressed as pirates, not braggin, but I have won the best dressed, dance contest the last 2 years. What else has been asked? My wife plans on joining the wine tasting get together, I myself do not drink wine, CROWN ROYAL for the real men! No offense guys! PrettyinTink, I wonder if they will like our redneck wine (MUSCADINE)?

OK, I have to go back to work, so I will answer more before the cruise.

PAHRUMPGIRL, you are the cats meow. We received our most wonderful fish extender. :cool1: You are quicker than ebay or amazon. :cheer2:
Thank You
Thank You :cloud9:

OK - Can't believe that I'm actually speaking it out loud, I must join the muu muu fraternity - trying hard to get the hubby into the grass skirt fraternity - however, he's fighting hard. Can you believe that he remembers the gentleman wearing the grass skirt from the crossing? I didn't have any problems dressing him as a pirate and he's all game for that. Does anyone remember the man carrying a skull with glowing eyes. He had 3 wenches wlaking with him? He was Capt Stevo - red jacket, with booty in his lapel? That was us. Will have to hunt down my scrapbook if I can find it. Anyways, will continue to work on him for the grass skirt.

As for me - I am starting my sit-ups today and will start walking ......RIGHT after this heat wave of ours breaks ...LOL.. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: However, is anyone up to walking on the ship (that is if I can get up semi-early?) I too plan on taking lots of excursions as that is my main way of losing weight. LOL :p . Anyways.... am up for anyone wanting to keep in touch via boards or e-mail for moral support. Let me know ladies..... how many more days? HHMMM... I must get a clock on my name.

I see I have lots of sympathizers. I used to be one of those trim gorgeous people. But then I met my dh, fattened him up, and here we are   But we try to lose weight we just sit on our butts and drive 10-11 hours a day. Makes it kinda hard to hit the gym as much as we used to. I totally vote for the mumu contest. It's weird because on our first DCL cruise I was so nervous that everyone was going to be GORGEOUS on the cruise. Boy was I glad to see that everyone's pretty normal. I am sad to say that after 3 DCL cruises I have not put a PINKY TOE in any of the pools. I know there are other pleasantly plump people there but I just can't shake that feeling that everyone is counting the dimples in my butt. My best friend is a beanpole naturally and she just makes me sick. AnyWho....
Bob and Lee- Glad to have you with us on the Eco Tour. Friends of ours have done this excursion before and loved it. My dh has never been on a jet ski before so I know he'll have a blast. I just hope they let us play on them a little bit.
Going to see POC2 tomorrow :3dglasses We tried to go tonight but they were SOLD OUT!!

Yeah, more Alabamians!!!

I like to think we're not all that bad and as backwards as some might think. :rotfl2:

We plan on walking in the mornings and do most of our excursions in the afternoons. We should be easy to spot- we are wearing shirts that say "Going Goofy with DCL". The goofy race and a half challenge is the Disney 1/2 marathon on Sat and the full marathon on Sun. We are going to walk both. Spro will be joining us for both and seaulater for the half on Sat. If you are up for a real challenge, we hope to do a 20 mile walk on CC. Some people might think we are a bit goofy. Alex

Alex,
Joe is signed up for the Goofy Race & 1/2 too. I will be doing the family fun run .. and handing out water and cheering for the other two..... :cheer2:

pirate: We just got out of the movies and all I can say is WOW! WHAT A GREAT MOVIE! POC2 was fantastic. I was entertained from start to finish. Fellow Alabamians I say we start the MWF- Muscadine Wine Fraternity. Sure its not Pinot but it'll take the edge off! :woohoo: I guess the tag fairy got me but really, when you admit that you have fake leather knock off boots worthy of doggy poo I guess it draws attention. I am starting first thing in the AM on a diet. I'm not gonna fool anyone by saying that I'm gonna exercise on the ship and I'm sure as heck not gonna watch what I eat :woohoo: Ya'll are just gonna have to stare at my big butt in a swimsuit because (drumroll please) I vow to go in the pool this trip. I might need years of therapy afterwards but I'm going to have a good time so if anyone has a problem with a fat girl in the pool I'll just have to sick the crazy lanyard people on them! Anyway, I urge anyone that hasn't seen the movie to rush out and see it. It is GRRRRREAT! I'm in Sacramento and it's 100 degrees (and i'm not kidding) so I'm trying to stay cool. :cool1: We are about to go into Macaroni Grill and have one last fat laden meal before the cruise! Tomorrow its CHOPCHOP on the atkins diet. :moped:

Thanks for the info Scott.

Emily you can tell all the refined southerners, we are the ones that kick our shoes off under the table at dinner. :lmao: :rotfl2: Mike

Hi PIT - eeyorelvr10 here- I like your style - may I join you? :thumbsup2 All my cruises I've been too shy to subject others to my big butt (along with my ...dare I say it? cellulite butt) but with safety in numbers I'll venture out with you. I need a tan! So if your game - I'm game - well at least once that is - You sound like a riot can't wait to meet everyone. :Pinkbounc :lmao:  Any others?

..I did stop in a B&N last weekend and picked up one book thinking I already had one so now the hunt is on for more reading material. What is everyone else reading? Do you read while cruising? I have been working one of Jimmy Buffet's books (A Salty Piece of Land) but (sorry Scott, Bob and anyone else) it just isn't my 'cup of tea'. Suppose my beverage is wrong???...

Salty Piece of Land. It starts out slow and a little difficult to get in to. However, it does pick up steam and everything does come together in the end. I found it entertaining. Was #1 for a couple of weeks. :confused3
Tully Mars(And Scott assures me that there is no Hearache, Wyoming), the main character was also in the book Tales from Margaritaville. I believe that this may be a better book.
Tea, coffee or margaritas, stay with it as it is a good book.

Today is our son's birthday (Michael) he is 28.

Also having a birthday today was Art (@GoofyNut). Mike

OK - I picked it up again last night and it is moving along better. I will finish it - I will, I will, I will!
