Tonight my booking window opens for this cruise and I went to look at rooms available and there are IGT, OGT, & VGT rates available.
I was able to save over $1,100 on the cruise, quite a nice surprise. Yes, I had to give up our room for an OGT, but it wasn't a room I had to have. When we booked the options were slim for Oceanview, it was a very forward room.
Anyone else on this cruise, you can save some money right now before the PIF this week.

I am on this cruise as well, a back to back with British Isles. Concierge cabins, plenty of them, open as well. No discount there though...

Any idea why the discount on this cruise? Because it was added late? Or just later in the season? Seems like it just didn’t book well?

DCL bookings seem to be down a bit, I realize Sept can be a tough time to travel from the USA, and maybe Sept isn’t an “ideal” time to visit Norway…. but am I missing anything else?

Our family wasn’t planning on another cruise this year… but we are leaning towards making this happen due to future DCL Norway cruises being almost double on cost. Too good to pass up?

UK schools are in term. The UK has very strict rules about taking kids out of school for vacations, parents get fined. The new school year starts first week of September, so very UK families will go on a Disney cruise in September.

The window for good Norwegian weather is very small. I did the DCL Norwegian Fjords cruise in 2022 at the end of August. We had some great days but also so not so great days and the sea days through The North Sea were very rocky during the day and night.

The one after it got discounted as well. I think there are two reasons:

- Disney added these two cruises late with zero notification as they were added way after the normal summer release, therefore unless you were looking at sailing in September 2025 you’d never have realised they existed
- Kids are back in school

I’m hoping Disney try an extended Europe season at least once more but as they don’t like trying new things I doubt they will. Both of the cruises they added (and are now discounted) actually have good itineraries.
