...to introduce our family. Wow, that is so unlike me

We booked our cruise sometime last year and I just realized today that I hadn't jumped on to DisBoards yet. Our traveling party will consist of myself and DH in one stateroom, and my DS (7 y.o.) and MIL in an adjoining cabin.

This will be our 2nd time on the Fantasy and we are so looking forward to this vacation. I just requested to join the FB page and am hoping to participate in the FE as well.

I haven't had a chance to read all of the posts here but I will this weekend so I can catch up. Hopefully there are a few others kiddos in the group that DS can meet once we're on board and buddy around with in the kids club. We did that on our first cruise and it worked out great for both families.

Hi. We have just moved our cruise from the September 27th and brought it forward two weeks to this cruise. Originally we should have been travelling with my daughter and her boyfriend as they were great company on our last cruise and booked to cruise with us again, but we have moved them to a date next year as due to university and jobs it has made it impossible for them to travel this year. We can't wait that long so with flights booked and hotels booked either side of the cruise I'm starting to get excited about returning to the fantasy.
I would love to join in the FE. We did this last year on our cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it and have learnt a lot too.

Hi all, and welcome to those who've joined in the past few weeks. I hope to participate more often and to see more activity on this thread over the summer. I can't participate much in the FB conversation because, I confess, I haven't done a thing concerning the FE. I haven't shopped or thought about shopping for gifts. I haven't started plans for a new FE. I have an extender I made several years ago, but it's pathetically homemade looking.

I forgot I had posted the question asking who homeschools. Karyn, congratulations on your decision. I hope you are not overwhelmed by the choices and resources now available. There should be a panic attack response team at the curriculum fairs.

MDennis, we're almost to the finish line. Oldest ds graduated last year. He's away at college. Middle ds has one year to go, but I don't have much to do with his education this year except as his driver and "guidance counselor". LOL. Aside from two AP classes, he's finishing high school and his AA in Engineering at the community college. Then he's off to whichever engineering school he chooses for his four-year degree. DD still has the high school years ahead of her.

OH!! I want to do a triple cruise!!

We have done 2 B2Bs - the first one was on the Dream and I thought that was more trouble then it was worth. It did give us a week on the new ship - and it got us to Castaway Cay twice in a week but I didn't like the interruption in the middle of our week.

In 2012 we did a B2B on the Fantasy to celebrate me turning 50!! Now that was Fantastic!! The key is to book using the same room. . .

I am hoping to book another B2B for 2015 while we are on this cruise.
