Good morning. We are off to the airport in a few hours. Staying over, then flying tomorrow. We should have internet access for a week or so, so i will be keeping in touch!!!!

We're back. I took a few shots to share. We went out to eat at Stroudsmoor Country Inn in the Pocono Mountains where we live. It was very quaint and beautiful.

Me having a cosmopolitan drink....Cheers! Their champagne by the glass was a little too sweet for my taste.....so I switched to cosmos.

My DH John and my stepdad Ray. It was just the three of us for dinner.

Lovely photos, Deb! This is the same place you went to for your birthday isn't it? So pretty... :thumbsup2

You wrote this 10-24-08 and now it is 11-28-08 and I know that Tom is planning to come to PA and you are planning to have him stay with you (unless there is a change since I read the other thread.) How nice that you had a sense of an impending change so that when the opportunity arose you were open to it. :thumbsup2

How uncanny is that Jan....just when I said it, it happened. The universe has a way of working like that. Beware of what you put out there!:cutie:

We lived on Long Island's north shore 1970-1972--Kings Park. Tom worked in Melville and I took the LIRR to Downstate Medical Center for college. We went to Sunken Meadow State Park more than Jones Beach.

Jan :cool1:

We were neighbors!

We only ever booked one week.
We booked while on the Panama Canal cruise and are taking our kids and the new grandbaby who is due next month.

So, if the Jan above is me, nope :sad2:

Thanks for answering...yes, the Jan above is you!

WOW, only one more month for that baby???? I remember seeing pics of the wedding on fire island. Is this the same couple?

Yes, it was the same place, but it was in a different building on the grounds. There are lots of buildings there....one more beautiful than the next.

Hi Kaz, hope your day is going well.

Not at the moment - no milk for my essential mug or 2 of Starbucks House blend coffee!!! :scared1: :lmao: :rotfl: There's only one thing for it, I'm going to have to take it black... :sad2: Wish me luck! ;)

It must be very early for you - 6.20ish..?

Good Morning Marilyn and Michelle.

I'm excited for you today Marilyn, you finally get to leave for the first leg of your trip. I hope you have a fantastic time and will share some photos with us on here when you can. We would love to hear all about how you spend your time too. Hugs to Monica and Lisa and Darrell and anyone else you're meeting. Enjoy MouseAdventure. You must tell us all about it when you have done it.

Good Night Michelle, sweet Mickey dreams.:cloud9:

OH NO....I take half and half with my coffee. Milk is just not strong enough for me with coffee. If you MUST drink it black, at least put some sugar in it to sweeten it up a bit. That may be better.

Yes, I'm awake very early today...it's 6:30am now. I'm watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade that I recorded yesterday while I was getting ready. They have the Radio City Rockettes performing and the best part is that Santa comes at the very end. It's the biggest Thanksgiving Day celebration across the nation. It's tradition for me.

Do you have classes today?

I'm managing, Deb (oh the hardship! ) it has an extra sweetener in it and it's not too bad actually! :thumbsup2

I would love to see the Macy's parade sometime - to me it's definitely one of those iconic New York/American experiences that we've seen in so many movies... :cloud9:
No classes today - I do Monday thro' Wednesday as a rule but missed this week as I damaged my left Achilles tendon about 4 weeks ago and it became really bad at the weekend! I'm cross with myself as I ignored it for ages which clearly didn't help... :headache:

Monday thru Wednesday is a good schedule. It gives you plenty of time for all the work you need to do outside of class.

OUCH, the Achilles tendon area is so very sensitive and you can't walk without it working properly. What can you do for it now to make it better?

It really suits me. I haven't had to keep to a timetable (other than the school run) for almost 15 years so I find the '3 days on/4 days off' schedule perfect. :thumbsup2

Well, my personal trainer has given me stretching exercises to do and the Doc gave me strong anti-inflammatory drugs which seem to be helping. Other than that, rest and recuperation are the order of the day...

I look at it the other way around. In my life I find that premonitions are advance warning so I am ready when the event occurs. Sometimes they are wrong and that is nice when the premonition was negative, but sometimes they are right and get me ready. ::yes::

Not like I ask and it happens, more like the idea pops up and about when I say to myself "what the heck...?" it happens and I discover I was ready and felt prepared for the adventure.

If I could make it happen by putting it out there, I'd be living in Florida near the MOUSE. :rotfl:
