So I woke up this morning thinking about Cadbury chocolate (NOT a good start to the weekend for a dieter). And now I'm wondering...do they have British Cadbury chocolates in Tortola?????

I also realized, now that the weather is cooling, I could receive Cadbury chocolates via the mail without them melting AND it's my birthday in two weeks..... I'm just saying......

Hi! I am trying to catch up to you guys - just wanted to say I lived on Long Island for 5 years! I lived in Westbury, Lindenhurst, Wantagh... where else? I think that's it. I worked a ranch off Valentine Lane and loved riding the horses in the fall... I had a LOT of fun those years... love going upstate to the beatiful mountains. Love walking the beach (Jones) in November when NO one else was there... thanks for the walk down memory lane.

E-mailed Monica and told her to CHECK IN!

...lunch break over (had last night's steak for lunch today...yum....don't ask what I had last night instead..... )

Sister... when I asked how it was going last night - you didn't mention the cheating that has taken place... naughty naughty - but WAY to go on the 7 lb loss so far!

P.S. You were RIGHT (naturally) we go to TORTOLA FIRST. I'm a little sad about that... but I'll get over it.

Thanks Deb it was lovely. We met at Planet Hollywood I beleive, at DTD didn't we? It was one of our last days. We'd stayed at HRH the week before when it was Mark's birthday...it's our fave hotel

I seem to be going through a lot of "empty nest syndrome" lately. Oh well, I'll get used to the differences and learn to adapt. Of course as soon as I get used to it and I like it, someone will be asking to move back in with us again. It happened to us before. It will probably happen again.

Oh you and me both with the empty nest syndrome! I could always move in for a while if you like Deb!

Don't you just HATE medical procedures and tests and doctors! It's the worst possible thing.

I hope it goes quickly and easily for you Angel. Then I hope you won't have to go back again for a long, long time.

I just talked to John on the phone and told him we're having pizza tonight and btw we're booked for WDW in April 09.

Then I told him to read the Tortola thread and find out all about it.

Ya know, it's funny that you mentioned that because I was just thinking last night as I was looking at Disney jewelry on the QVC site......well it's my birthday in three weeks so.......I'll just have to order something and when it comes in, give it to John to wrap for me. We're having my sister and her dh over to dinner tonight. We've been saying for ages we'd do Barcelona together and haven't got round to it.....so we're having a Spanish night instead We'll bring Barcelona to us! Mark's making a lovely seafood paella, we have some tapas to start, and I've made a ginger, orange and Grand Marnier dessert (sort of Spanish)

we've even sorted some Spanish music for the Ipod

Best go and sort the table now.....

I have pictures of me sleeping on a blanket sucking my thumb when I was very little on Jones beach. I grew up there as a young kid before we moved out East on Long Island when I was about 7 years old.

How did you make it from Chicago to Long Island to Arizona, Peg???? You were doing some travelling.

YES we DID, now I remember.....it was Planet Hollywood.....you did Mark's birthday at the Hard Rock Hotel. I'm going to have to stop in there for drinks next April. I'll check it out because I have never been. But if you liked it, then I will too.

So, one of my errands today was to the watch repair shop to have some batteries put into a couple of watches...and what did I do? I bought a new Mickey Mouse watch! It's very cool and was only $30, so its part of my birthday present to myself. The band is Mickey heads, alternating gold and a pewter/silver color. Watch face is a pale brushed pewter with gold Mickey, dots for the numbers and the hands. Oh, and between each link is a small round rhinestone. It was a choice between that one and a Tink one with a lime green band.

Had a lovely lunch with Peg too!

NOW, I want a nap.
