I've been trying to come up with ideas for FE gifts for this cruise and the Baltic one already too.:lmao: Hey, never too early to start right?

I take it that F/E is "Fish Extender?" I tortally want to get/make one for this cruise! However, they are an egnigma to me. How are they made? Can I find one on the DIS that will make one for me? What else are my must haves for this cruise other than a F/E? I'm kind of a cruising virgin. Well, almost.;)

There are several threads on the main cruise board that explain the FE's... you can make one your self or you can buy one - there are several on sale on Ebay...

I used a Xmas stocking I made with Mickey fabric... I intend to use it again and again... and again...

It can be anything... some use small tote bags, stocking or go all out and make their own... it just has to be something that we can place our gifts in:goodvibes

for the baltic... since you're going to the Hermitage... Gold coins would be a good idea... real ones would be even better!!!

Fabrigee eggs??? (I know I spelled it wrong... :headache: )

Just home long enough to wash the undies I guess???

& Woody... you are going to give us a long talk and slide show on where you've been these 9 week, right???

Monica... I'm not telling you what went through my mind on that one... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

get your mind out of the gutter, young lady!

:bday: :bday: :bday:

Really??? My Teddy bear is only 21... :goodvibes

:rotfl:

Hey there - you and Jackie working the 2010 schedule? We talked to Cheri about this on Saturday and now I want to do the Baltic but the prices are crazy:upsidedow
Just found this website - has some interesting info on it about Tortola

http://tortola.caribbeanway.com/activities.asp
Thanks for this, going to go check it out when I take a break later in the day!
Well, I believe spreading these kinds of expenses over the year, makes the cruise budget less painful! I have some supplies on hand for some possible FE gifts that I've been gathering over a long period of time...you know, when anything lime green goes on sale. :lmao: .

Indeed the GREEN! Good thing us redheads look good in green!

We can put you on the 'alternate' list....but Jose has to stay home with the dogs! :lmao:

I bet once we get a quote, we could build some more cabins of 'solo ladies' ::yes:: (Though our quote will include a 10% pre-booking discount.) I think this an itinerary Dianne would love too. ALTHOUGH, I'm a little sad there is no Amsterdam stop. :sad1:

...lunch over...back to work....see you all at coffee break time....

.

We loved Amsterdam when we went for a weekend a few years ago. Always said we would go back but haven't. We walked miles and miles, such a lovely place. It would have been a great stop.

I have to unpack first.

We returned last night from our nine week Around The World trip.

Woody

WELCOME HOME Mr. and Mrs. Woody!!!!!! We have all lived vivaciously through you (as our dear friend Karen would say). What a trip! Would love to hear stories, see pictures or anything you can share. LOVED the links you provided for us. You stayed at some very awesome places. Do you have a favorite???

Thanks, Marilyn.

The weather in London last week was superb -- warm and sunny.

A highlight was the British Library, where we saw the "Treasures" collection. It has the oldest complete Bible in existence, the Magna Carta, Leonardo da Vinci's notebook, the only existing medieval manuscript of Beowulf, The Canterbury Tales, Shakespeare's manuscripts, manuscripts by Mozart, Beethoven, and Handel's Messiah. Plus, handwritten lyrics by the Beatles ("I Wanna Hold Your Hand," "A Hard Day's Night," "A Ticket To Ride," "Here, There, and Everywhere," and "Yesterday.") It was fab!

Woody

Wow Woody, I literally got chills reading this. I can understand how this would be the highlight of London......the Treasures collection. That is some incredible collection.....a must see if ever I find myself in London. Thanks for sharing.

Or at least chocolate eggs.:lmao: I'm trying to come up with something German since me and DH come from a German background. Flags or something like that. I got a few ideas. I'm just waiting for that ah hah that's it idea!!!

We were really hoping Amsterdam would be a stop too. We watched Samantha Brown's episode on it last week, what a beautiful city.

Gift wrapped cans of sardines would be appropriate for the Baltic.

I lived in Amsterdam for about 7 months.

Remind me to tell you about the rip in the fabric of time. I've pinpointed it to Centraal Station.

Isn't that Herring in cream?

Oh we won't let you forget about a rip in anything... ;)

Ian, you are so darn witty - I can't WAIT to chill with you!

I've already met 2 of the jewels. I can't wait to meet the third diamond, in what can only be described as a veritable tiara of maximum fabulousity.
