Peg, I found out about Mimi's because of Jackie and Cheri going in AZ and then going with Ian and Sukie in CA. Fortunately there was one in FL so I could go check it out too......we don't have any in PA.

Well, I hope they're back in time to do their Halloween cruise on the Magic! (at least, I think they are scheduled for that one...with my New Jersey 'sisters' dizney-cruiser and her sis)

I didn't realize they were crusing with janice and linda! Did you say that today?

I saw the show on the Travel Channel about this ship. Pretty darn spluzzy!.

Yeah 10,000 for a studio for 7 night cruise... ridiculous!

I have loved upstate all my life... told everyone I'd move up here someday and 3 1/2 years ago I did.. (still doesn't feel like I've been here that long...)

I was teasing about Ian too, now that I read it - that wasn't clear! I know he's a doll! I can't wait to meet him, I cannot believe I'll be the last of the three sisters to meet him and Suki! But hey, I would have LOVED to go to CA - with Cherie and Jackie - but it wasn't my place to invite myself and besides I was in Colorado loving Lake City with my dh. Sorry IAN - I hope you know by reading these posts that we are just loving you from a far!

It's a beautiful day here today! Sunny and breezy and cool (70 degrees). I don't know why it went from 100 to 70 with no stops in between ?? I wouldn't mind a month in the 80's first!

All caught up! Well only if it's 80's in September! I don't want to give up a MOMENT of it being in the 70's!

I so look forward to meeting Ian/Suki and so many others -all of you on the PC cruise that I missed - - but this cruise will make up for it I just FEEL it!

Ok, now I can go rescue my carpet - and see what the last pm from my sis was about.

I just wanted to say, I am sorry for all these single posts - in catching up instead of just one - but with all the links, video's etc I had to check out it was HARD! By the way - it took all of 3:16 into that family's YOUTUBE video Jackie posted for me to start welling up with tears. Gosh I'm such a nerd.

For the seating /dining - I can see my family seated around me for my 50th, Jackie's 60th, My DH's 50th and our 10 year anniversary - all happy to be together, and beyond that view, tables and tables around us with our extended DIS family. Gosh this is gonna be great.

Do you think it might be a good idea for me to think about re-newing our vows? By the time we cruise we'll have made it to 11 years!

Not sure what it's all about ... I'll ask Jackie, the "Knower" of all... see how lucky I am to have a big sis that's so smart?

Actually I have TWO! Dianne is smart too - but not in ways of DIS!

Hi guys, back from the beautiful Cotswolds today. Weather was truly lovely, couldn't believe it was October, it was warmer than our summer! Will post a pic or 2 later this week if anyone's interested. Had fun with all the famly but it was strange not having Becky with us.

Had a great pool and spa...could ALMOST imagine we were on the Magic.....

now to catch up......

That's exactly how I feel about it. I'm still holding out until I get prices. But I probably will end up cancelling and that's a shame. I always wanted to do a B2B and these are priced right. I guess I can always do a B2B another time.....2011 maybe......on one of the new ships???

Deb and Marilyn, if you are looking at booking a 2010 cruise, do it on-line (or be sure your TA does it on line) for the 50% off deposit (so we're talking $600 bucks here) and don't canx your B2B yet. That way you have till final payment for the B2B to decide if you can keep part 2, or if you will need to canx it to continue with your 2010 plan. There's a lot of time for financial (and health) situations to alter and we don't know what the future will bring. I know the $600 I'll be 'investing' in locking in the lowest possible DCL rate will give me a better return for my money than any other investment would right now! Too bad I don't know right this minute which itinerary I'll be investing in.

11 MONTHS PEOPLE!!

Who's started packing?

I did consider it, but am hoping I'll have smaller clothes by then!

I AM.....well, sort of.....I have a half packed suitcase of clean FL clothes from my WDW trip that I didn't wear. Two loads of laundry of the clothes I did wear, then throw them back into the suitcase and add a few themed outfits and I'm on my way......meet you at the Port!

No need to unpack suitcases full of warm clothing.....it's too cold here to wear them. I always keep them ready, just in case.....one never knows!

The weather in London last week was superb -- warm and sunny.

A highlight was the British Library, where we saw the "Treasures" collection. It has the oldest complete Bible in existence, the Magna Carta, Leonardo da Vinci's notebook, the only existing medieval manuscript of Beowulf, The Canterbury Tales, Shakespeare's manuscripts, manuscripts by Mozart, Beethoven, and Handel's Messiah. Plus, handwritten lyrics by the Beatles ("I Wanna Hold Your Hand," "A Hard Day's Night," "A Ticket To Ride," "Here, There, and Everywhere," and "Yesterday.") It was fab!
