The economy is a big concern, but I would want to do at least one cruise on the new ships.....I may not be able to do the inaugural cruise, but there's always a later date.

I don't think I could ever give up cruising on DCL. Fortunately, John feels the same way.

We love sailing in the Caribbean.....Southern preferred.....which is why I HAVE to do the Christmas cruise.

I would keep sailing DCL if we didn't have the airfares or the increasing problem of the journey over as we get older. I am sure either the Magic or Wonder will be based in Europe at some time though.

I think that once the two new ships are in operation, you'll see a DCL ship based overseas......hopefully Dover.

The airfares and flights are the reasons why we don't do the overseas cruises now. The additional expense on top of the cruise expense is heafty.....plus it's a long flight and John hates to fly.

I'm not saying anything about age! I hate that it will become a deterring factor at some point. Naturally, it will eventually take it's toll.

Yes, I am 60 and John 61. We are both fit and healthy at the moment, but who knows what will happen soon? I'm trying to enjoy things while I can.:yay:

Have not posted in awhile :guilty: we had a GREAT time at WDW in Sept for our brithdays :cheer2: I've been caught up in this stock market mess:surfweb: Oh well its only money :lmao: next trip to Dis is Nov.30 can't wait we saw the new T-Rex resturant at Downtown Dis and it will be something to see  Welcome to all the newbees

Deb and Marilyn, if you are looking at booking a 2010 cruise, do it on-line (or be sure your TA does it on line) for the 50% off deposit (so we're talking $600 bucks here) and don't canx your B2B yet. That way you have till final payment for the B2B to decide if you can keep part 2, or if you will need to canx it to continue with your 2010 plan. There's a lot of time for financial (and health) situations to alter and we don't know what the future will bring. I know the $600 I'll be 'investing' in locking in the lowest possible DCL rate will give me a better return for my money than any other investment would right now! Too bad I don't know right this minute which itinerary I'll be investing in. :lmao:
