September 12, 2009 ~ Last Call for Tortola!

The reason we chose the Tortola cruise is 1) we've been to St. Croix, 20 years ago on our honeymoon, wasn't that great then, but I don't know about now; and 2) we really want to see the Baths at Virgin Gorda. We are hoping Disney offers that as an excursion! I would think that the Baths would be kind of cool for kids, climbing through the caves and stuff!

Thanks for giving me stuff to check out while work has slowed! Looking forward to cruising with you.

Speaking of which, I forwarded the link to the dolphin place on Tortola to big sister...she may be wanting to do that!

Deck six is looking "THE" place to be! :goodvibes

Yes, Marilyn, but you do have a little something special to look forward to before this one!

Tell me about it. Still a whole year away. I'll go crazy between now and then.:rotfl2: Oh well, at least I've got enough trips to keep me occupied between and then: Food & Wine Fest. in Sept., back to WDW in Nov./Dec., ABD Viva Italia in May and a few other trips in between.:cloud9:

Sounds like a great year for you before our cruise. We are at WDW in Nov/Dec too, and also in April/May next year, plus a couple of trips to the Canary Islands. It's great being retired!!!:dance3: :lmao:

Hiya, Marilyn! Hoping you and John are well. Can't believe when Marc told me that he had booked on this one! A couple short ones coming up and then we'll be launching head on into this one!

Have you been to the Canary Islands before? We went to Tenerife last year on the TA and loved it. It's a beautiful island.

That trip is in the balance at the moment. Our daughter is hoping to go to Florida for the first time next May/June, so if it happens we will probably cancel and book it again for another time!

We have been waiting for some family to want to spend the money and go!

Greetings, DW Patty & I (Jack) will be on board for our 25th Anniversary,,,

Thank you so much, I've been lurking on your repo site, garnering some very useful information.... 9 days from today we in DL, any tips? :woohoo:

I am presuming you haen't been before.

Do be on Main Street for fireworks. They are the best - better than WDW I have to say.

If you haven't read this from the DL forum on here it is great to show you what is at DL and not at WDW and what is at both parks but different there. Saves time not to ride the rides that are the same at each park.

Our favourites were Indiana Jones, Bobsleigh(more for the history, but was fun), California Screamin at DCA, Space Mountain was a bit different, Pirates of the Caribbean.

Enjoy the atmosphere - it is different.

Get there early.

Welcome! Enjoy your EB...it is an absolutely fabulous cruise. Be sure to have someone from the family play Bingo the day they have a cruise as the prize (and final jackpot too). I'm not a bingo person, but that was so much fun to have the Walt theater full of people playing. Say hi to my DIS pals, 1DisneyQueen (aka Faireygod Mother), geffric, RRBB & Ohanafamily :grouphug:

As far as DL goes...just enjoy being at "Walt's place". Once you are over the shock of the castle size (assuming you've been to Magic Kingdom) you will love how compact the place is and how easily you can run back and forth..even to DCA. Check out the lobby of the Grand Californian. It's the same architect as Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's just 5 1/2 weeks till my next visit there! :thumbsup2

Oh, and did you see all the links on page one? Latest is Deborah's (Scottishwee) report with lots of photos.:thumbsup2

We're on deck 7, so apparently deck 6 isn't going to be all that special after all.
