September 12, 2009 ~ Last Call for Tortola! Thread 3

:sad2:

Are you bringing them over from Farmville?

.
I want a Cat 3 jacuzzi tub!!!!!

.
I finally got my barn in Farmville and I'm so happy about it, I also got a free well (not sure why some of these things are showing up - but I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth) I put it over by the barn, so I have a drinking well and a livestock well.

OH THE DRAMA - of the upgrade - I'm really hoping there is a CAT 3 DH is on board with the upgrade and you can always come stay with us and use the tub SISTAH! DH wanted to know how he could possibly cruise without you as a fixture (ok not his exact words) but he's used to you being a round a lot...

PLEASE

check your entry on page 1 post 2 and see if you are listed for the special activities you plan to attend. Since I did not get any information from the coordinators or from Ian's survey, I can only go by what people post on the thread so it is out of date now. I do not want people upset.

If your entry is not correct, please PM me or post it on the thread.

THANK YOU.

you are too good to us!

Looking forward to seeing less of you at the port!!!;) Is your leg improving?

hahaha. Marilyn you are funny too.

My leg is same, same, same....it's requiring a lot of attention everyday again....bagging, wrapping, soaking, scrubbing, elevating/laying flat. The good news is that it's constantly improving, but the bad news is that it's a very, very slow process. John said tonight that we'll have to pack leg wrapping materials with us on vacation. It's unavoidable.

For those of you wondering what is wrong with my leg, two years ago my six month old german shepherd jumped on the back of my calves. I have edema. I developed cellulitis. Early spring, it finally healed and lasted about three months before I got cellulitis again and started the whole healing process all over again. My doctors say that it's recurring.

So sweet of you to inquire Marilyn. But the story seems to remain the same.:rolleyes1

Deb - so cool that you got to do the mini-meet with Joanie & Sam :) Looks like you guys had fun!

Good Morning Fellow Tortolans!!!

I met yesterday with my non DISer friends that are sailing with us - explained some of our activities (in case they wanted to partake) and things about DCL in general. I explained how a bunch of us are sitting together/near us & that I hope I don't embarass them :lmao::rotfl:

Hi Mon, yup we did have a great time. It's always fun to meet and talk cruise while sharing a good meal.

I hope we haven't scared your friends off. Are they joining any planned DISer activities? Will they be at Fishlips?

If they are friends of yours I'm sure they will enjoy joining in on the fun.:cutie:

Pixie dust, prayers and hugs to Donna and Harry, Jan and Tom, Kelly and dad.

It's sad to hear that these things happen to us, but we stay strong and fight the good fight and just do more Disney vacations....especially cruises.

I think that's what you said to me in May of 08 when I was contemplating booking this cruise while on board the Magic. Now look what you started!
Yes, aren't you glad! We're looking forward to seeing you, PJ, J and meeting the rest of the clan.

I can not believe that we have less than 5 weeks to go! I am so excited and this cruise is going to be a much needed distraction for my family.

It seems that this group has a lot of medical problems going on.. and my family adds two. My Dad found out that he needs back surgery due to his degenerative arthritis (he has disintegrating disks in his back.. a lot of them, this is causing pinched nerves) He is waiting until after the cruise for the surgery though!
I also found out a few weeks ago that I have a brain tumor. It is very small and not causing any symptoms so we are on a watch and wait program. I will have another MRI about a week after we return from the cruise to see if it has grown at all.. if is has then I will have to have surgery to remove it.

We are trying to stay positive, and planning this trip has really helped! I picked up fabric yesterday to make my FE, and I still need to make the gifts for it (though I know what I want to do...). Plus, DD#1 starts Kindergarten next week, and her 5th birthday is the following week... so I have plenty to keep me busy for the next few weeks!

Hi Kelly,
There was a time when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor after a MRI. After calming down (and it took a while), I talked to my dr who repeated the MRI with contrast. Turned out it was just a area of congested blood vessels that appeared like a tumor. I don' t know the details of your MRI , but just keep in mind that a lot of brain tumors are actually benign. Prayers and good wishes for you and your Dad. Vicki

Just noticed the 33 Days in Kay's signature. Room assignements should be coming ANY DAY NOW! :woohoo:

(I get excited about that even when I already have one.)

Time to go crawl into bed with my book. This has been a long hard day and tomorrow will be very busy at work, so I guess I'd better rest up!
