September 12, 2009 ~ Last Call for Tortola! Thread 3

Who said anything about me leaving Disney World? I'm only doing a grocery run when I arrive.

Once my tush hits the pixie dust, it don't leave until I check out.

Oh, no worries, mister. We'll be doing the shopping while you boys are at the water park! Geeeze..

.

Is there a place close by Country Inn and Suites in Cape Canaveral where I can pick up cheap beach toys (sand buckets and stuff) as well as alcohol:rolleyes1

I'm just doing it to placate the fans. Originally this was going to be a no dress up cruise, but then I had to silence the resulting whining from the throngs.

The only event I refuse to dress up for are specific costume events like pirate night. Why bother doing it if everyone is doing it?

You're such a rebel!!

We called the TA yesterday and pre-purchased the wine and photo packages that we want. We are trying to pay for as much up front as possible so we have a better idea of how much money we will have to spend!

I also competed the online cruise docs today

And... DH is considering getting me my diamond earrings in St Thomas since our anniversary and my Birthday are only a week after we get back from the cruise. He has even asked around for OT so that we can pay cash for them! :yay:

NAN!

 Wondered when you were going to show up here!

......back to work for me....sounds more fun than an online drivers ed course....it is the exciting world of television afterall....:rolleyes1

.

::yes:: :happytv: is os much better than :surfweb:

Okay not really, since I can DIS, FB and close my mom's DSL service all at the same time, I still think it's better to stay at home in my jammies ;)

Why does this attitude not suprise me

He plans on paying FULL TILL for my Fatty Fruity Booze drinks :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I just need my jug o Rum in case Sukie tells me to get lost once and a while

Monica, I've logged onto our ressie before so no problem, getting in and adding my info, I just did it from the house and didn't have my passport (I unlike Ian KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THEY ARE AT ALL TIMES) (because I'm always ready to get the heck outta dodge :woohoo:

The Rum is also in the house, so I'll confirm the name.

Love the Big Bang, but I really shouldn't let Willie watch it and have those men as his role models should I :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

What are we going to do with our farms while we are cruising???:scared1:

:sail: WELCOME ABOARD :boat:

You will see that you both are now added to page 1 post 2 in alphabetical order by DIS name. The * at the beginning means that we know you are coming on this cruise. If you check the entries of others and want more infomation added to yours, either send me a PM or post it here and I will move it there.

I assume that by now you know that if you have a question all you have to do is ask and someone will have an answer.

Sorry I have been off the thread for a couple weeks.

My husband had no symptoms but a funny reading on one lead of an EKG got the family doctor to encourage him to see a cardiologist. That doctor ordered and read the treadmill test with a nuclear medicine portion and saw something funny so scheduled Tom for a catheterization to see if a stent would do the trick but did nothing and sent him back to the room. He came in to see us together and said that there were several blockages so he thought Tom was a candidate for bypass surgery. We got in to see the surgeon he recommended the next day. Tom could clear his schedule from Thursday Aug 6 on and that would mean his 6 weeks of recovery would be over so he would be likely to be cleared to come on this cruise. The surgeon said he had some cancelations for the 6th and that hardly ever happens. So, yesterday he had a quadruple by-pass. He is more awake and active by the hour. He was up and sitting up in a chair for an hour this morning and two hours this afternoon. There will be a longer period of sitting this evening.

The moral of the story: no symptoms is no guarentee of no disease. Get checked! :thumbsup2

Jan, hugs and prayers for you and Tom. I think a cruise is a wonderful way to round off his recovery! Hope the doctors agree.

Jan,
I am so sorry you and DH had to go through this, but I am glad he found out the problem in time. Prayers and pixie dust for a quick recovery. Vicki:hug:

That reminds me I never ordered DH's hat or the additional gift I'm now convinced I need to order - going to do that now!
What are we going to do with our farms while we are cruising???:scared1:
I thought the same thing - I'm thinking of hiring Cheri's nephew...

JAN - sending prayers and pixid dust that Tom will feel better each day and that the doctors tell him BY ALL MEANS - Cruise dude!

Yeh, order that other present, so Dianne and I won't have to fight over one! :lmao: Or Nan will have to teach us how to do "rock, paper, sissors, Spock"!

:upsidedow

I need some help from all of you experienced cruisers! For the St. Thomas stop, we are wanting to go on our own to a nice beach but can't figure out which one is best. I've heard that St. John is much more beautiful but also heard that the ferry there is an hour and usually causes people trouble. Does anyone have any suggestions on a nice beach for kids to play and swim? Not interested in snorkeling...just want a beach area that is clean, not crowded, and fairly easy to get to. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

A list of websites about our ports of call is on page 1 post 3.

Done! And, I know how to play because that's a show we watch all the time, living with a physicist it's pretty much madatory! It's hysterical and DH loves Sheldon because he says he's "crazy"... I just laugh because many of DH's traits are similar - although no where near as exaggerated -thank the Lord. It's actually called Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock!

WELCOME TO THE WEEKEND!

Garry, take a look at page one for activities:

We will be ordering lanyards (or perhaps Monica has already placed the order). I know we are ordering extra, so if you would like a pair, please PM mishoe01 and asked to be put on the list.

We are doing FE gifts, and a count was posted for that last weekend. But if you want to participate just post that here as well as PM disneylove69. Some folks have already ordered/made there stuff and may not be able to include you, but others haven't completed their arrangements and may have extra's to share (I know I will).

3PM Promoanade Lounge embarkation day is the DIS meet.:thumbsup2

Sunday...champagne girls for the ladies and shots around the ship for everyone will start our first sea day of with a bang! If Vicki is interested in joinging in for Champagne Girls, she can PM EllaEnchanted (there were posts on this just today).

Ian is also organizing a "Walking on Water" event for those who want to do some laps on the ship, to help burn off those Mickey bars!

.

Thanks Jackie!! Great reminder of all our activities as listed on page 1 post 1.

we did horse shows at the fair grounds in indy

When? We are relatively new here and are not horse people but I bet Peggy has chimed in on this one as she is a horsewoman.

THANKS! We have had a lot of support but even before we started telling people we had great peace about it. We are sitting together now watching NUMB3RS, then I will go home. I stayed and played nurse last night--I have been awake for 42 hours. I think hearing a familiar voice helped him transition from anesthesia.

We expect he will be in regular cardiac care tomorrow and home early next week. THANKS AGAIN!
