Of course, there are still issues: You can't book 90+10 if you are DVC or booked through a travel agent. So if you need/want to book in that 10 day window, still needs to be done on the phone. Disney is working on this.

I just went in and played with it for a few minutes. It could be a fairly time consuming process when trying to book the most popular places. It searches within a one hour window of the time you put (so they claim) and if there is nothing, will give you some alternative restaurants with openings in that time range.

I believe Kaz has already used it to good results.


Monica....our group is a potential 7 laynards...we should know within a week as Peg flies out today to visit and plan with the North Carolina contingent. Are the laynards on Ian's survey yet? I know I want two for sure.

Finally I'd just like to mention that I'm only ONE POUND away from my next WISH clippie upgrade.

I was looking on Insuremytrip.com to see about purchasing travel insurance for this trip. I am more confused than ever. Can someone who has used a travel insurance plan help me. The one's I looked at stated that you had to purchase it within 14 days of initial payment. I made the initial payment over 1 yr ago. Not sure how to proceed. Is there one that you would recomment (not DCL's). We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 youngish kids). Have good medical insurance, pretty much want trip interruption/cancellation. Thanks for all your help

I just went through this recently, and ended up purchasing through Travelguard. I found them by researching insuremytrip. It didn't matter if the cruise was paid for or not with them. I called and the agent was very helpful. I purchased interruption/cancellation for my daughter, and the same for me but added the health for mine. Added bonus was it was in Canadian funds

Regarding insurance, Jackie is correct, the key requirement is that you purchase the insurance before you step a toe out of your door to embark on your travel.

Now, for other coverages, there may be other purchase requirements, as in the case of Jackie's preexisting condition, where there is a company who requires you purchase before final payment.

It's actually all pretty logical and common sense, for some coverage options, the insurance company wants to know that you are not buying the insurance, knowing full well that you are going to then leverage it to make a claim.

Otherwise, as I said, you can usually purchase insurance up until the time your travel commences.

As always, seek the advice of an insurance professional who can navigate through the various coverage and stipulations.

I myself, was originally on insuremytrip, and was completely confused, I spoke to a service rep who in turn repeated back to me everything I could read for myself on the screen.

I preferred to have someone who could interpret the language for me, hence my choice of insurance shops.

It is also ironic that I was confused by the coverages and language. Ironic, because I work for an insurance company.

I'm on the 8:45 one too I didn't see another option though In any case, I like to get the earlier starts, so I'm happy with this time! Have you been reading some of the reviews? Sounds like some people have wished they had more time down on the beach and in the caves. That is why I booked this excursion rather than the shorter one. If I decide I need more time I'll just do without the lunch!

Yay!! Can't wait to meet you! Maybe that excursion didn't have another option and I'm confusing it with another, sorry!

I've read some of the reviews about not having enough time and make sure you either wear or bring comfortable walking shoes as I guess its a hike over rocks to get there and back! DFi and I just bought a pair of Keens that I hope will be ok.

I know the official line is not before 12.30pm

We did have flights out of Tampa at 12.30 and I was concerned that our time was tight with travel, returning hire car etc. (however good old American Airlines changed our flights so now we have better departure time and I won't be so worried)

Last cruise we were in Orlando at by 10am at the latest (but we were not flying out that day).
