Welcome home fella! I too, think we should have a slide presentation, maybe powerpoint with music and poetry or quotes to go along...

Hmmm. Quotes, like: "Stop snoring," and "Wake up."

7620 (partial obstruction verandah) may now be available.

Just saw this post from Epperbiker:

7620 may still be available for 9/12/09 Tortola
We unfortunately just gave up "Secret Verandah" room 7620 for the September 12 Magic sailing to Tortola. This is one of the four Navigators verandahs that have only a slight 'obstruction' and have a clear wall. This is virtually the same cabin as the one next door which is a cat 5. These are a terrific bargain if you book early.

Jan, you can removed Epperbiker from the role call.:sad1:

So went looking for hotels for the night before cruise and the cheapest I was able to find was $107 for the Radisson. Does anybody know of a good hotel for cheaper that has a free shuttle to the port? Just wondering if I should just book the Radisson. We're taking Southern Elegance (thanks for the tip Jackie, it was the cheapest we found) from MCO to Cocoa Beach, does anyone know if the Radisson is close to a grocery/liquor store? We would like to bring on a few beverages. Thanks for the info.

Stretching my memory a bit, but we stayed at the Country Inn and Suites. They have a shuttle (or at least had) and as I recall, I booked it because it was cheaper than the Radisson. It was more than fine for one night.

We are going to WDW post cruise and wanted to know if we'd be better off carting our luggage off ourselves (should only have 2 large and 2 small bags for the 4 of us, totally handleable) or if we have to have our bags go thru customs before we disembark. Not sure of how this all works as we have never cruised before. Thanks for the info, I'll await your wisdom. :surfweb:

You do have to go through customs after disembarking because you will have been out of the country (Castaway Cay is not in the U.S.).

I've only ever done the DCL port to resort transfer once and we had to cart our own bags to the van after we finished up at customs.

Ian - I could probably be talked into sharing the wine pkg w/ you :)

That would be great. I see we share a psychic bond.

I think the package is a bottle each night, so that means about 2.5 glasses each, or if we get a third person, we each get a glass of wine each, each night with dinner.

Hopefully we can get another person w/ us - I don't think I can drink 2.5 glasses of wine w/ dinner each night :rotfl:

Not sure if we can do this but if we can I'd like to request a bottle of Malbec (yummy)

I figure Nan & I will also be bringing Rum, Cachaca & mixers on board too (great benefit of driving to the port! :lmao:)

I'm thinking of buying Nan a cocktail hat for the cruise.

Which one do you think suits her best?

or this one?

It would be great if we could get a third person to split it with us.

I almost never drink, but I think I'm getting in a cocktail mood, albeit 87 days too early.

I'll have to wait until I get home to cast my vote - I can't see the 2nd choice ;)

Hi Kristen....yes, I booked the Island tour beach and lunch excursion. If we're both doing it we could share a table and do lunch together. John is not interested in doing the beach. He said he'll just grab a chair with an umbrella and keep the drinks coming. I'll probably snorkel and be in the water a lot. We would love to sit with you and spend the day together. It sounds like lots of fun.

I think that we changed our mind - they added an excursion to a beach resort - Long Bay - we will probably do this one - feel better about just hanging at the beach with the baby and skipping the bus ride. I just think that she will get bored and antsy. Oh well - it's all about the 2 year old princess:

...Which bringe me to a QUESTION OF THE DAY:

If you were in WDW and wanted a table service lunch....ALL BY YOURSELF, where would you go?
Probably the Wave - we had a fab lunch here in April. It's quiet and I could bring a book... Otherwise Coral Reef... Or maybe the Bistro de Paris!!! :goodvibes

Tortolians.....it's:

:cheer2::dance3::yay::cool1::banana: DOUBLE DIGIT DANCE DAY!:cool1::yay::dance3::cheer2:
I know I missed it but... party: :dance3: party:

Kathe (katypop) & I did the parasailing on CC during the Panama Canal cruise - it was amazing! (and I'm scared of heights). I definately recommend it :thumbsup2
I haven't heard anything but positive comments on this - DH and I booked twice before and it got cancelled so we're really hoping third time lucky... :yay:

Here's a little treat I look forward to in 90 days or so.....Strawberry Shortcake from Sunshine Seasons. If you are ever dining at Epcot and none of the desserts at your restaurant appeal to you, mosey on over to The Land and grab a piece of this. Light, fluffy, refreshing!

YUMMY!!! :cloud9:

We arrived home safely, and are (almost) unpacked. It was an incredible journey.

I'll try to catch up with this thread to see what I missed. Looking forward to the Tortola cruise.

:welcome: back Mr & Mrs Woody!!!
