Are you in Phoenix? If you are I would love to local help, if you wouldn't mind.

Let me know and I can PM you to keep it off list.

Thanks

Yep, sent you a PM

This is my first Disney Cruise so I know I'm not going to get any Castaway Club goodies, but I'm wondering if they have any swag that they give to DVC members?

Just got off the phone booking my first Villas at the Grand Californian stay, totally thrilled that the timing worked out so well. Get home from the cruise on the 19th, fly down to SNA on the 23rd!

Tuesday morning, I get to try for my ADR's. Hope it works out well. If I can't get Le Cellier, my back up is walking up to Beaches and Cream, I'll console myself with a Hot Fudge Sundae.

There will be a get together for DVC members on the ship. The swag varies a bit, but it always included DVC baseball caps, sometimes luggage tags (extremely useful and sturdy), and sometimes pins. They will also have a drawing for give-aways of other DVC branded goodies (beach towels, tote bags, etc.). You'll also find magnets on your door.

Congrats Evette! Isn't it nice knowing that's all taken care of? :thumbsup2

And now that I know where I'm eating my TS (for sure), I can plan my dining budget more accurately. Of course, there's no telling exactly what my BEVERAGE consumption will be. :lmao:

Lynda, that hot fudge sundae sounds like a great consolation prize! ::yes::

WELCOME HOME MR AND MRS WOODY. Check your e-mail ;)

Oh, I wasn't aware you had dining plans. Anyplace interesting?

(And as of this morning, I have more cocktail money. Since Sukie doesn't drink, I need someone to sneak off for cocktails with me.)

Has anyone ever done the wine package on the ship?

I'm hoping that someone or someones at my table might want to go in on a wine package with me.

Sam and I are interested in sharing a ride to Emerald Beach hotel.

I tried to contact them to see if they rent snorkeling gear, but haven't received a reply.

Joanie

YEAH.....very cool....happy to share with you!!! After all, we're practically neighbors....we're in the Poconos.

I would try contacting them again. It couldn't hurt.

I expressed an interest in snorkeling, but got vetoed.

Me too! I could snorkel all day long and never get out of the water. I think I was a fish in another life. But John doesn't want to snorkel anymore....so we picked something else.:confused3

I love 50's Prime Time! It has become a tradition for DH and I to head there for lunch right after we dump our carry on luggage in our hotel room. Having grown up in the 50's the nostalgia can't be beat. Such fun! Then we are off to my favorite attraction, Tower of Terror, for several rides. Oh, I am getting excited!

We have never seen Fantasmic because I hate waiting in lines. Do you all think it is worth doing since we haven't seen it?

Donna

YES absolutely.....it's my favorite. John and I saw it and didn't have to wait. We had to commit to dinner at a restaurant. It was a combo deal....dinner and the show. We went to the italian restaurant....can't remember the name....had dinner got our tickets and just showed up for the show. No waiting in line. Absolutely worth it.

The show is incredible, but I hate lines and crowds too.

We've only ever done it with the Fantasmic Dinner Package, though the Prime Time is not one of the 3 restaurant options.

We've done it with both Hollywood & Vine and Mama Melrose.

Hollywood & Vine has, in my opinion, really fallen in quality over the past several years. Once upon a time we quite liked it, and the last time we were there we hated it.

Mama Melrose was OK, not bad, but nothing wonderful.

Fantasmic is really well worth seeing and a not to be missed show.

In our case, because we've seen it quite a few times, we can give a miss on this trip.

Very well said Ian. Yes, we ate at Mama Melrose. I liked it because I LOVE italian food. I think it's the best way to see Fantasmic and definitely should not be missed.

I learned that one should always continue to read before posting....especially when far behind.

I think it's terrible that they don't do the Fantasmic show with no waiting when you book a dinner. I would have done it again. But not if I have to wait. Oh well.

Welcome back Woody and Mrs. Woody. Can't wait to hear your stories. We need to schedule a Woody hour at the Cove Cafe one night on our cruise so we can all hear about your adventures. Are you up for it? Then you only have to say it one time and tell everyone.:rotfl:

I think I have to wait until next weekend or so before I can make some ADRs. I'm going to WDW for five nights after cruise. We get off the boat on the 19th.....does anyone know when 90 days out is???

I'll just try it next week and see what happens.

90 days.. is for Castaway Club, yes? then it is midnight on June 13th.. well for the September 12th cruise date it is.. for the 19th, then you need to add a week.. I think.. so then midnight on June 18th or 19th? sorry Im guessing

Sorry.. not us.. I don't like wine and Hubby nor I are big drinkers.. Heck I don't even know the difference in wines except the colors.. :confused3

ADRs at WDW for Sat 9/19 arrival are at 7AM Eastern on 6/21.

If you are staying on Disney property and have a reservation number you can book for up to a total of 11 days (90th day out plus 10). You'll need to book the ADR for your first night FIRST, then you can do the remaining DATES in any order. Choose to do the most popular places, or the ones most important to you FIRST (even though you may want them later in your stay). Tough ones to get are LeCellier, Ohana, the character meals and shows. Mosey over to the restaurant forum and see if there are recent posts about your favorites. There are many "I just booked my ADR posts" to look at too.

Call 407-939-3463 (WDW DINE) or your travel agent can do it for you on line. If you choose to have your TA do it, be sure and give them options and alternates (better yet, be on the phone with THEM while they are doing it....sorry, control freak :scared:).

Starting to hear a little feed back from the May Tortola cruise. If you looked at the April Navagators (link below) there are some differences. So don't plan your day around 'tastings' as that is what seems to move around.

This thread

http://www.disboards.com/showthread....ola+navigators

has navigators from the April cruise (first Tortola cruise). The ones for May 23 (my cruise) had a few differences (changed cruise directors - they had Christiaan, we had Brent - they started showing "Up," some of the wine tasting times moved around, some different comedians/entertainers/band, etc. I hope you get the band Soul Drive - they were pretty good.)

Is that so I could put everyone to sleep simultaneously?

Woody

Well it looks like there will probably be about 30 people at our table... ;) so I'm sure there are SOME lushes around... :rolleyes1
