.....

I was originally thinking "no" for this as we haven't even talked about what "family" things we'll be doing together, but now I'm thinking "yes" because I don't want to be left out of anything fun! And GOD KNOWS - hanging with you crazy people is "FUN".
.......

Let me know if any or all of you should get the SATS designation on page 1 post 1. THANKS

Ian, as people have been commenting about such events I have been making notation on page 1 post 1. You can get an initial list there, make your announcements, and ask for confirmation. Anyone who expressed an interest early on who does not confirm can be sent a PM if you wish. I hoped these listings would make it easier on Group Leaders of Special Events.

and

on page 1 post 1 it is Shots Around The Ship :bounce:
the color was chosen by me because there was a bounce that color.

Of course,
it could be
Shots Around the Ship :drinking1

Do you want to change the color in your announcements or shall I change the color on page 1 post 1 ??? or shall we let it be?

Jan - I would just let it be, and thank you for taking care of this and following up.

When it gets closer to the date, I will have an online form available for people to add their name formally to either Shots Around the Ship, A Stem to Stern Extravaganza, or Walking on Water.

We would love to keep in the loop about all the crazy things going on. SATS, WOW, CG, GOA etc. Definitely interested in joining in some or all of them, depending on whether schedules work, kids stay in clubs etc :-)

-Kay

I was looking at the discovery scuba also.

She will fit in perfectly. Every one is a little girl/ boy on the cruise. Like Neverland their are no grown ups just grown up drinks.:) Not really sure what WOW is since I am new to these posts. I think it's a walking program? Wouldn't mind joining. Stairs shouldn't be an issue. They have elevators. Hope to see ya.

Page 1 post 1 has a listing of all the cruisers with an * in front of those who we know are coming and none in front of those we have not heard from since starting this second thread. Above the names of people are the abbreviations of DIS activities that are planned. WOW is WALKING ON WATER.

If there is an event you are interested in and post on here that you are, I will put that designation by your name on page 1 post 1. Then when the Organizer of the Event is ready to generate a list, it will be easier to get started.

:) Jan

got back in, they're there, now I've got to figure out when I want to do the mud wrestling.

Mud Wrestling, is this a spectator sport? If so, shall we list it on page 1 post 1 as a DIS activity? LOL

A few more thoughts before I trot off to work this Sunday morning.

I'm sitting here looking at the description of the hysterical walking tour on the DCL site and the one one the tour guide link I posted and quelle surprise, they are very, very similar.

The key difference that I see is:

DCL price = $35 per person
Price on site I posted = $25 per person

Same thing with the Island Tour.

DCL price = $39 per person (2.5 hours)
Price on the site I posted = $35 per person (3 hours)

I also see that they do custom/specialty tours.

Jackie (et al) - I think you might be right about arranging our own tour. If there are others interested, I'll be happy to inquire.

Regarding the hysterical (OK, historical) walking tour. My research has shown that it is possible to just get a guide map and do this on one's own. Many people have have and do recommend this.

My thoughts are that it is only 1 day in port and I'd rather not walk around with my nose in a book. I have also read that that there are some parts of Charlotte Amaile to be weary of.

If anyone was interested in forming a group to do a self-guided hysterical walking tour, I'd be up for organizing this as well. I realize that it's not everyone's cup of tea, but, we could put together our own rather nice self constructed package with say, the butterfly farm, a walking tour and a planned stop for lunch.

I have to be honest and say that I like butterflies, history, shopping and eating (though not necessarily in that order).

Here are a couple of links regarding self-guided tours:

(PS - I don't like sand. Not since I was 3 years old and at Coney Island I got sand in my bathing suit and my sister [12 years older than me] refused to carry me the 5 blocks home and I was rubbed raw. I have avoided sand since then. I remind my sister of this trauma whenever the opportunity arises.)

(PPS- I turn 54 in August and my sister turns 66. I particularly like to remind my sister of the beach trauma she inflicted on me on my and her birthdays.)

I added these links to the St. Thomas section on page 1 post 1

Hello!

New to this thread!

We are are going to be on this sailing...getting married in St. Thomas!!!

It is our 1st disney cruise!:yay:

Does anyone know of a good place to take our guests for lunch in St. Thomas after our ceremony?

:sail: WELCOME ABOARD :boat:

You have been added to page 1 post 1. The * means we know you are coming. Some folks were on the list in the first thread for this cruise but have not checked in for months so we do not know if they are still coming, so, no *.

Check your entry, alphabetical by DIS name, and make sure I got the info right. If you want to add anything, post it here and I will put it there. At the top of the first post is a list of DIS-events. If you are interested, post that and I will add it to your entry so that the Organizers for each Event can create the needed lists and do the necessary organization.

Lots of good advice available from those who have cruised before, so ask away.

:earsgirl: Jan

OK, I've been lurking around on this thread for a long time. There is sooo much going on that I have no idea where to start!
Can someone please give me a quick rundown of all the meets, dinners, tastings, etc. that you plan on doing as a group? I would like to join in on a few, but have no idea whats what. Thanks!:thumbsup2
:boat:

Hopefully your questions have been answered already. If not, ask again!!

:sail:

Thank you for all of the information organizing you have taken on for this cruise. You are indeed one of the kindest people I have the pleasure of knowing.

(Now that Jackie person is another matter altogether!)

:scared1: PALO HIGH TEA:scared1:

I have not been keeping track of this at all!! :confused3 Do you want this on page 1 post 1? If so, someone better help me with names. Maybe the logo could be :cool2:
Who's doing a Palo High tea and how many people can join? Just curious?

Jan - before I forget can you remove me from the FE list - if I am even on it? I've decided that this trip is just going to be TOO crazy to participate in that... thank you!

Well that answered what was going to be my other question! Ian - I'm not going to worry about what list I'll be on with you - since we both know Jackie will be running both our lives this trip! KIDDING SISTER!!!

We are planning to do high tea, that is if we manage to either book it online or on the ship. The major question for us is whether or not we'll dress for it, and what time we'll be in the lobby to sign autographs.

Yes, your sister is quite the organizer. I have learned that it is best to just do what she says. I'm sure that for you it was not a learned response but a genetic one.

That is a very interesting question since I'm the one in the family who is known as being "organized" - she's the PLANNER when it comes to all things DIS. Di2 (a nickname) is the LIFE PLANNER... oh you poor people... just wait till you see all three sisters and BROTHER together... I don't know if you realize what you are in for....:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2::thumbsup2

We'll have to discuss birth order. I'm the youngest of three, my sister is 12 years older than me and my brother was 6 years older than me.

We'll have to discuss being the "baby."

Wow! And I thought I was a planner. Knowing that there is full moon this night 3 months ahead of time really puts me to shame! :worship:

She's a bit over the top that sister of mine...

I can't believe she looked up when the FULL MOON IS!

Uh kids, it was just written there right on my calendar...just noticed it and thought I'd share. I'm not THAT BAD. :lmao: Actually, a lot of the stuff I post is just things I ran across on the DIS or cruise critic...I'm just good a SHARING. :grouphug:

I will ignore recent comments from certain people about being bossy....I'm not the bossiest one in my family.....I think I rank THIRD in that department.
