Hello from Vancouver, B.C.

After cruising for 70 days, we disembarked the Volendam this morning. It was an incredible adventure. We will spend one week in Vancouver before returning home.

Best,
Woody

Thanks for the trip report, it was very informative. I was thinking about taking the tour to the Baths, but with that much hiking I don't think DS (5) would make it. Or at least DH wouldn't make it carrying DS all the way down. Thanks for the warning, at least we know now and won't have to be miserable on the excursion. We'll find something else to do.

Hi everyone! My name is Evette and my family and I will be joining you on this cruise. It is our first!! I'm 52, my husband Lance is 50 and our DD Kellie is 22. We will be celebrating Kellie's 23rd birthday on the cruise on September 15. Even though Kellie technically is an adult she has Down Syndrome so I'm a little concerned about how she'll fit in on the cruise. In many ways she's still a "little girl" but she's fun to be around.

We are in cabin 2580 and we have late dining. I'm interested in WOW :tiptoe:on the ship. Not sure what excursions we will be doing as Kellie has some mobility issues, she doesn't walk long distances well and stairs can be difficult. Any suggestions?

Looking forward to meeting you.

Shots Around the Ship
A Stem to Stern Extravaganza

Save the Date

Shots Around the Ship will take place on Sunday, September 13th, our second night on the ship.

I feel it's a good evening to hold it because the next day, the 14th is an "at sea" day.

It will give everyone a day to settle in and explore and will provide an excellent first opportunity for everyone to meet and get to know each other.

Drink whatever you like, Coke, water, Perrier, chocolate milk, Gin, Vodka, Rum or Rot-gut.

The way this works is we meet in a lounge, stay a while and then move on.

This is a "save the date" only notice. I will send out additional information, including how to sign-up at a later date, after final payment is due, and well before the sailing.

The first "Shots Around the Ship, A Stem to Stern Extravaganza" was held on the Panama Canal repositioning cruise and was a HUGE success, and tons 'O fun.

I love that date too Ian...the Champagne Girls tasting is at 2pm on that date. Champagne and Shots both on the same day is going to be a trip. I'll need a nap in between. Ha. It sounds like it'll be such a great day and night. Good thing the following day is at sea.:lmao:

Us is me, DH,DS(15) and our friends with their kids,DS(16), dd(12).We're in a sideways Cat 11 on deck 6. Booked thru DVC with points, staying at Beach Club night before and going to MNSSHP.

We're planning to go to Jost Van **** in Tortula and Coki Beach in St. Thomas. The guys scuba dive.

This is our 7th Disney Cruise.

See you soon!!

Angela

Ian & Deb - like the idea of getting sloshed all on 1 day (hahaha). I'll have to bring my own beverage to the CG meet (I'm still an honorary member as I don't like champagne LOL).....I go for the company.

NAN - let me know when you chose your flights :thumbsup2

Just sent an email to my ta to verify my amount due :lmao::lmao: Should pay balance off tomorrow :thumbsup2:banana: Been researching the shore excursions - thinking of doing the "discovery scuba" on Tortola but not 100% sure yet. I'd like to do the Baths but from all the stuff I've read I don't know if my knee will handle the hike back up :confused3

Checking In...
Sorry I haven't been too active... :guilty:

I still want to join Palo High Tea, the FE, and any meet and greets you may be planning..

:cool1::cool1: I've snagged a SPH room :cool1::cool1:

Technically a downgrade for us (we had an 8 and we are now in a 10), but there is little obstruction on that porthole and it saved us $500.:banana: All the more $$ for drink of the day!

-Kay

GOOD JOB KAY! :thumbsup2

WELCOME, WELCOME to all the newbies and the lurkers who have now spoken up! I figured as final payment drew near we'd start hearing from people! :grouphug:

I'll probably be calling our TA to do mine tomorrow morning!!! Unless I sleep in that is.

Been REALLY busy at work as my team=mate is on vacation (one day in Disneyland :upsidedow) and my home internet was down for two days, so I haven't been able to take care of personal business this week.

I think the R-R clan will be having a conference call this weekend to talk about Palo dinner, embarkation wear, formal wear, and a few other items. Some things don't require decisions right this minute, but we need to have everyone thinking about them.

Question of the Day:

What do YOU think is the best color to wear for the embarkation photo?
