Mom+3girls: YAY for you! Now that somebody got their docs, at least the rest of us know ours are soon to follow! HOORAY!

By the way, you mentioned attorneys in the office. Looks like we have something in common. I also work in a law office. What do you do?

I am a Paralegal. We mostly do Social Security Disability. Love my job. I Work with a great bunch of attorneys, one of the partners is a huge Disney fan, in fact he was very impressed when he saw on my resume' that I had worked for the Disney Store. He talked more about me working for Disney than my degree in Paralegal studies. I got the job so guess it was the pixie dust.LOL
What year of law school have you completed?

forgot to put this in the last post, I stopped by the TA office on my lunch hour and picked them up, way cool!!!!!!
It really hit me today, I am going on a Disney cruise!!!!!

I think if you book through a travel agent, they always get it first. My first cruise was booked through AAA and I got the same call to come pick them up. My second one was through DU and after they got them, they mailed them to me.

How EXCITING that you got yours!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH MY GOSH I GOT MY CRUISE DOCS FROM THE UPS MAN!!!!! Poor guy followed me all the way up 2 flights of stairs with my dogs barking at him. When I got to my door he was like this is for you. I never imagined it would be for me or I would have asked him.

Oh and it came from Disney Cruise Lines not DU.

Mom+3girls: How cool that one of the partners at your firm is a Disney fan! :) I have a paralegal degree, but nobody was hiring at the time I was looking for a job. So I'm a legal secretary. But as I'm sure you know, there's a lot of overlap in those 2 job titles, especially in a small firm such as mine. We have 8 attorneys, but the 2 I work for do tax law and intellectual property. It's a good place to be because they are really supportive of my law school goals and 5 of the lawyers graduated from the same school I'm going to. I'm only in my first year, soon to enter 2nd semester, but at least it's a start. :)

CONGRATS on getting your docs, Daisy!

Since I'm stuck at home today with a sick child, it would really make my day to get mine today too! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm sorry about your kid being sick. I telework on tuesdays and fridays. Saves us gas money and I get more done (even with the disboards up on my laptop). Hopefully the man in brown will show up at your door.

I have a paralegal degree, too! Technically, I'm not using it as I work in my county's Criminal Court Clerk's office. The funny thing that happened is everything I learned makes since now that I work in court.

I thought that I would work in the court system, I did my internship in the JDandR court, but there were no openings when I was looking found this job and I love it.
My other job I am a hairstylist been doing that for 23 years, and decided at somepoint I wanted to not stand on my feet so I went back to college and got a degree. I only work at the salon 2 nights and week and on Sat.

We have an interesting group, CPAs, Legal Sec/law student, paralegals, WOW.

OK, this is just too weird! Add me to the group! I also have a paralegal degree, 2 year associate degree, but I've never really used it. After I graduated, I decided I would go get my 4 year degree in accounting. Now I work at a real estate company as an accountant.

Judy [waiting not so patiently for my docs to arrive also]

Yeah -- ours came today. I hadn't been checking the board, so hadn't thought about it at all.

Gosh --- I can't wait, but I am also not ready with everything I wanted to get & organize. Better get organizing.

Wow! Can you believe how much time is flying???? It must mean we're getting close to sail away!!!!!!!!!!

It's cool how many legal employees we have among us cruisers! :) I didn't have time to pay attention to the message boards my last cruise, so I'm really glad to be able to do it this time. It's really interesting to hear about everybody and will be cool to meet as many of you as possible!

No Docs here yet, hoping they will come soon! We went through DU do they send them to you or does Disney? Only 24 more days to go!!!YEAH!!!
 :Pinkbounc

mcraft17 - we have our ressie through DU too. The UPS box said it came from Disney Cruiselines in Florida. So I'm guessing we get it directly from disney.

Hi, everyone! How are we doing today? Everyone realize that 4 weeks from today we'll be in Cozumel??? AND it'll be Pirate Night!!!!!!!!!

My DW just called to say that our documents arrive today. We had booked directly thru DCL. I bet if you use a travel agent, the TA has the option to have the documents sent to them first or to send them directly out to the customer. Hearing that alot of people received their docs yesterday had me eagerly waiting for ours. I'm glad they are finally here.

We booked through AAA. Spoke with TA yesterday and she said the docs come to her office and not our home. Still waiting to hear back from her letting us know that she got 'em.

3 weeks 2 days
Hope everyone is excited as I am. I am so looking forward to this crusie.

Does anyone know the best spot to be in for the sail away party?
thanks

The Sail Away Party takes place on the stage at the Goofy Pool (midship, Deck 9 and 10) I tend to favor being up on Deck 10 looking down on the action. This way, you have a great view of the characters and the show, plenty of room to dance and not too many people stomping on your feet. PLUS on Deck 10, you can lean over the exterior railing as we set sail and wave at all the people on shore! (HINT: Look at the Disney terminal. Sometimes there are cast members waving goodbye with Mickey gloves on! This also happens when you sailaway from Castaway Cay!)
