September 10, 2005 - Western Cruise!

I just checked the Magic a week before us and they haven't gotten theirs yet, either so at least another week or two.

Actually, some of the people on the Magic right before us have started getting their docs. A friend I work with got hers 2 weeks ago, so I expect ours any day now!

O.K. so some of them haven't gotten theirs yet! ;)

It's so exciting to think that our docs could be arriving soon. I can't believe how close we are getting.

Will the docs show the dining rotations or do you have to wait until check-in for that?

My docs last time didn't show dining rotation, just that it was 2nd seating. But when you get in your room on the ship, there are little tickets on the table that show your dining time and rotation.

My 3yr old son is so excited that he asks me every day, "Are we going on our next cruise today?" So every day I have to tell him, no, but soon! ;) I wasn't able to get excited until this week because I had to concentrate on getting through my law school finals a few days ago. Now I can focus solely on Disney!

I have a crazy question I'm hoping some of you more experienced Disney cruisers can help me out with, since this is only my 2nd one. Tonight, my mom expressed an interest in going on this cruise with us. Is it too late to add her to our room? Of course I can and will ask my TA about this, but I just wanted to make sure it's not a totally off the wall request before I ask my TA and sound like an idiot. Anybody have any experience with something like this?

If I've been reading your posts right, it's just you and your 3 year old son right now, so I don't think it'd be a problem to add your mom. All cabins sleep at least 3 people, so no worry about being moved. And, though they have limits on the number of kids they'll take on any given cruise due to club programming, as long as the ship isn't full, they'll take more adults. The only problem might be the cost of adding someone this close to the cruise date!

Good luck!

As long as your cabin can accomadate an extra person then it isn't too late. We added someone to one of the cabins yesterday.

As in FINAL finals?!

Way to go :cool1:

Unfortunately, they were just end of semester finals. Nothing like the CPA exam Daisy's studying for. But it's still reason to celebrate! :Pinkbounc

Thanks guys for the input on adding a person! I'll contact my TA today and try to do that.

Hi all,

I haven't posted in a while, been too busy with work. But now we are getting excited :cool1: !

I know we have discussed formal night on this thread, but what does everyone wear for semi-formal? Since DH talked me into dressing for formal night, I will be taking one dressy outfit (not a gown, but a 2 piece dress with a ankle length black skirt). What would be OK for semi-formal? Would a shorter black skirt and nice top and sandals be OK? Or will I feel out of place? When we took the 3 night Wonder last year, I wore black capri's and a nice top to the "dress up" night (although they don't really do "formal" and "semi-formal"), and I felt a little underdressed.

By the way, DH is wearing a dark suit for both nights (don't you hate it how men can do that?)

HollyTyler - a test is a test and it's a reason to celebrate when it's over!!! Esp when you know that you're going on a DCL cruise in a few weeks.

For semi-formal night, DH is wearing a suit. I'm wearing a blue strapless dress that goes just past the knees. It's not that dressy but it's nice.

For semi-formal night I'll do a 50's style floral cocktail dress. My (then) husband will wear a dress shirt and tie with kahkis

That's for sure! And we sure picked the best way to celebrate! :cool1:

I DO have to make a correction.... we were not completly left out of the upgrade club. The rooms we were put in are actually 11s. They are pretty much the same thing, but I did want to at least recognize that.

Hey you all,
My AAA travel agent just called me to come and pick up my docs.
I would do the doc dance man but something is going on with my little smiles today, only have a few so I'll do the best I can, just know that I am dancing and smiling. Glad no attorneys are in the office today, they'd think I lost my mind.
:cloud9: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

So does that mean DU will get our docs first and then DU sends them to us? I just figured they came directly to us from DCL. You learn something every day. I hope ours come soon.

I've already started my packing list and things I have to do before we go (like pay the bills). I can't believe its so close.

Mom+3girls: YAY for you! Now that somebody got their docs, at least the rest of us know ours are soon to follow! HOORAY!

By the way, you mentioned attorneys in the office. Looks like we have something in common. I also work in a law office. What do you do?

I thought they were mailed directly to your house also.

Glad to hear that the docs are starting to arrive.
