September 10, 2005 - Western Cruise!

YES IS DID!!!!! I think there must be a glitch in the system. I thought I was having chicken tenders and fries with diet coke for lunch up on deck with you and Jay but you never showed!!

Holly you are sure going to deserve some alone time next time. At least he will be a little older then and really liking to go play with friends. FLTink is doing the Wonder the week after, I'm thinking if I were to go the week before her... she might trip me down the stairs! LOL

Are we back there yet?

hey whats up everyone! wow we had great weather!
where are our table mates from California!
me and teresa had a blast!
exept for our really loud room the 1st night! 7619! it sounded like our room was right next to the ships engine!!
we got moved the next night, but not upgraded or anything, to the 5th floor.
does anyone else find that the beds are really uncomfortable in the middle?
or did we just have bad luck?

anyways besides that it was great! we could have went to the stingray at CC but we turned it down it was at 2pm, and atleast 1 hour long, that would have gave us a whole 1 hour at the adult beach!
didnt matter we went to stingray city afew days b4...
going threw cruise withdrawl as we speak!
bye bye

Jay, the bed's are uncomfortable in the middle but that's because all beds on the ship are two twins pushed together, so you have that wierd edge in the middle.
Donnica, you and Strick should come WITH us! :o)

Hi everyone! A week after the cruise and I can finally stand to admit that I am back home again. Boy it was hard getting off the ship! It was a picture perfect, absolutely amazing vacation. Our fourth Disney Cruise and I think our best yet - practise makes perfect and all!

Jenn - We saw you in your wedding finery (you looked wonderful!) at Rock'n Bar D, but didn't get a chance to say congratulations. Congratulations!

WOJ - what did you think of Captain Marvins? We both really liked the tour - no frills, but great snorkeling. And Stingray City was awesome!

We also did try out the Stingray Encounter at CC. VERY different! The are training the stingrays to come up onto these swim platforms where they get fed and you can pet them. A lot more information about stingrays and a much more controlled environment. Personally, I loved Stingray City, but I think the CC excursion would be better for my mom, who is much more timid about such things.

I'm thinking about my DM, 'cause when we rebooked, we booked a cabin for my folks as well - next September we're doing the double dip CC/Costa Maya cruise. Need to talk to my folks this weekend and decide if we're sticking with that or moving the ressie. But we are going again! :wizard:

Awwww.....thanks! By the time you saw me at Rockin' Bar D I was pretty wilted from the heat! But thanks for the compliment!

Wecome home! You know, all week I've been thinking how lucky we were to have such beautiful weather all week on our cruise. We really lucked out considering that we dodged two storms and didn't see a drop of rain. Think about it. TS Ophelia cleared out of our way just in time for us to board at PC. Then Hurricane Rita began to form in the eastern Caribbean just as we returned.

Loved Stingray City! Were you on our boat? We did the 10am-1pm half-day tour. Had Chester as our tour guide and the old man himself (Capt Marvin) was there too! He's turning 89 any day now they said.

Never got to check out the Stingray encounter on CC. Where was it? We'll have to check it out next December when go again. Two-stopper at CC baby! Woo-hoo!

Yep, thats the Capt Marvin trip we were on! I think we said hi very briefly, right as we were getting on the boat - we both mentioned having heard about Capt Marvin's via the DIS boards. My DH and I sat up front with the cap'n on the way out, and I sat up top on the way back from snorkeling.

The stingray encounter at CC was way to the right of the Family Beach lagoon - next to the teen beach.

Hello all! I can't belive how fast that week went. It was totally perfect. We didn't want to get off. I was wondering if anyone would have a picture from 80's night. My husband was Jon bonjovi and i forgot my camera that night. I know shame on me. I am kicking my self still. It anyone has one can you please email it to me. Thanks so so much.

I think everyone wilted a bit that day - it was WARM! But I thought you looked great - and didn't notice a single sign of wilt! :)

Holy cow, small world. I guess I would've recognized you if I had stuck around the meet a little longer, eh? My DS spazzed out around the stingrays so he sat on the boat the whole time. My DW thought they were cool. And here I thought that she would've been the spaz! :rotfl:

So, seriously....can we go back to our ship now? I mean, we own it now, right? Isn't that the way it works????

Do you think if we go down there and help with bringing the luggage on they will notice that we didn't get off? I'm willing to do that to get on. I see it like this... they don't check to see who gets off the ship in the end. So if we just stay on the ship the whole time and don't go ashore, which again I am willing, then they would never know. I also have no problem with sleep up on deck and during the day. We don't need a dinner assignment since we can always eat up on deck. I love the chicken tenders and fries! The fountian drinks are free... we are so in FLTink! Let go!

Hey! Right here!

We managed to get an earlier flight out of Orlando, but still had the same layover in DC. Being home and actually having to cook for someone really sucks :(

The cruise came at the right time tho.. just enough energy to start worrying about the move to LA now! Got an apartment rented and the movers set up. Another 3 weeks and we're living in Tinsle Town....

I'm THERE Donnica! See, aren't you happy now that I'm going back to work for Disney again??? We can cruise all the time. You can be like, hey, what are you doing this weekend? And I can be like, nothin, you wanna go on a cruise?"

Hey guys,

Just got our mail caught up today (our post office are idiots) and received a postcard from Disney saying "while everyone on board is given the opportunity to answer a guest survey, we have chosen a small number of guests to participate in an online survey" yada yada yada.

It came with a website address and a password that they said would be valid for 7 days. Just went and filled it out and it was still valid.

Just wondering if anyone else got the same thing.....?

Julie

Jenn... don't tease me like that... I'm still in a very fragile state! LOL

As much fun as cruising is... I will still miss having you at arms length to meet at the mall on Friday night to do dinner. I can't do those PERKY PEOPLE myself! Will they still give me the GOOD seat by a fish tank? (as IF there is a seat NOT by the fish tanks!) And what about counting volcano's? Who else can do that with me? I guess I will just have to wait and go to the Florida one with you, if that still exists.

Are we back there yet?

Donnica, don't be sad. It makes me sad!

Julie, I didn't get a survey but I wish I did! I actually had a lot of things that I'd like to share with DCL. Mostly positive, but a few negative. Maybe I'll write a letter to DCL Guest Communications.

Yeah, a lot of this seemed to be the same questions, but with room for specific comments..."Why did you rate your overall experience as "X"... please be as specific as possible." Etc...

There was a question about which itineraries I might be interested in. I said I was very interested in 3 & 4 day sailings out of California along with Mexican Riveria, Alaska, Mediterraean, and Bahamas... basically, anything new! heh

Julie, My survey came in yesterday's mail. I had also received one on my last cruise, so I figured everybody gets one. I have all good things to say again, except for one negative. Disney RULES! :)
