planning a trip possibly for Sept 1 through Sept 7. I have read it will not be too crowded. I assume it will be hot. Any good family resorts easy to travel within Disney or can I stay off site and pay much less since the crowds will be low atleast according to touringplans. Will the crowds really be low. which parks are best for a 3 and 5 year old. We plan on visiting parks 3 to 4 days with and then visiting relatives. I read Sept 5 and 6 will be more crowded due to Labor Day. Any suggestions appreciated.

Those dates fall during the current Fall Free Dining promo, which if you are staying at Disney Value resort is the single best discount you can get all year at a Disney resort. You family should be able to go during that time frame for about $1,200.00. All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, All-Star Sports and Pop Century are the Disney Resort Value categories. If you are definitely planning on going on those dates, I would decide on a resort and call ASAP and check for availability under this discount. We like All-Star Movies best, then Pop Century, All-Star Music and All-Star Sports. You have to book by AUGUST 14 to receive this discount on your resort/package reservations.

The crowds will be pretty low during that timeframe, some of the lowest of the year. We have been going to WDW since our kids were 2, 3, 4 and 7 and ALL the parks are good for everyone of all ages. I would definitely recommend doing at least 4 days, so you can do at least 1 day in each park.

Please ask any specific questions you may have, there's a lot of help around here!

We go every year the first week of Sept. We are there this yr the 5th-12th and its perfect.

Forgot to add: Yes, it is HOT! Very, Very HOT! W'eve done early/mid September a few times and while the crowds are relatively low, it is sweltering. My husband compared it to vacationing on the surface of the sun. So, definitely prepare yourself for the heat.

Welcome! We will be there Aug 31st - Sept 9th...so our trips will overlap!

Crowds should be light, but the heat should be pretty interesting (especially for this Seattle native....oh goodness... :rotfl:)...but, I've heard the first week of September is a great time to go!

"See" you there!
