How busy is it at the end of Oct.? I know some schools have fall break. etc.
Is the weather a tad cooler?

We've been the last 3 years around Labor Day when the crowds are lighter.
However, it is too hot and I really do not want to mess with free dining this year.

Thanks for input! I am trying to decide which reservation to cancel.

well sometimes the food/wine festavial can be even more crowded especially at Epcot.

that is Oct, halloween party at MK,
race for the taste, Orlando international dragon boat festavial at DTD, dance the fright away - plus that golf thing.

Oct is generally more crowded than Sept.
there are probably more schools off in Oct, than Sept.

October is my absolute favorite time to visit. The weather is still warm but usually drier and the F&W festival is really fun.

September and even early October can still be quite hot -- hot enough that those of us from the northeast would call it "summer." But mid- to late October, the weather is much better.

As residents, we prefer October as opposed to Sept. And the later the better. You do start to see larger crowds around MNSSHP, but still preferable to the scorching humidity of September IMO.

Have fun!:thumbsup2

Haven't been in Sept yet...first time coming up....but I have been in Oct, twice. But, I've been there at the end of the month. Dd's birthday is Oct 25, so that's when we go. I love the weather at that time, and the crowds have been very managable.

We went in September in 2004 and really, really enjoyed it. We decided to do another fall trip this year, but choose Halloween week. Partly because we were hoping to get better weather and partly because we were hoping to avoid the crowds of free dining (we have APs, so…). The last week or two of October are listed on the WDW website as being lower crowds than the rest of October. We’ll see.
