I'm set to book our trip Sept. 23-30 at CBR with DH, DD (4). Hubby thinks we should wait until May '07 when DD will be 5. Is it more/less crowded end of Sept or mid-May. Also, is it as hot both months? Thanks. :confused3

Hi,

September (after Labor Day) is quite possibly the least crowded month at WDW.

Mid-May is not too bad crowd-wise, but it will probably be more crowded that September.

And yes, it is hot both months, but the humidity in September is usually a little more intense than May.

Did you tell your husband about Free Dining in September? I would choose September because of that. We can't go in Sept because my sons are in school now and they are learning so many new things at the beginning of the school year.

Our last 2 trips have been in November and early December. The weather was perfect and I LOVED seeing the Christmas decorations! We're going back to WDW on May 13th - so I can report back with more info. We've had several friends go in May and they said it was already hot, hot, hot!

BTW - my vote is both trips! :teeth: Enjoy visiting WDW during the slow times before your daughter starts elementary school. pixiedust:

Our last trip was the first week of May 2003, and I had read that the temperatures were supposed to be in the 80s, not too bad. But one of the days we were there it was like 99 degrees, felt more like 105 though. I don't think it was supposed to get that hot in May, but I guess you never know. I am going in September this year, supposed to be low crowds, but still very hot! I guess it's a trade off!

May - weather great , hot but not too bad, some short afternoon rain showers.

Sept - Hmm Chance of getting caught/delayed in Cat 3 or 4 Hurricane but free dining ......

Guess which month we go most often? :teeth:

Go in September! It is the least crowded time of year and you get FREE dinnng! How can you pass that up? Six months won't make a difference for your daughter.

And I'll be there at that time too! Sept. 24-30.

We have gone in June and September. I am not sure what the differences would be between June and May, but I would definately pick September. Less crowds, and free dining! We had great weather, just one day of rain.

I went last year mid May--weather was warm, but not bad, no rain the full ten days I was there, crowds not bad, but defintely worse than Sept, flower festival beautiful, really enjoyed the concerts at Epcot. It's also regular season so resorts are more expensive.

I also went last Sept -- free dining, crowds nonexistent (except inside TS restaraunts which were packed), weather hot and humid, but OK, rained every afternoon for just a few minutes, hurricane season of course, value season.

As you can tell by my counters, this year I'm going back in both May and Sept. I'm expecting more beautiful parks and heavier crowds in May (due to the Flower festival). I'm expecting VERY low crowds in Sept, but more heat and possibly a hurricane. I'm having to pay for the dining plan in May, but am getting it free in Sept. If my mom didn't want to go for the flower festival, I'd only be going in Sept.
