I'm not the best to advise on trip reports - I'm not too good at them, I tend to be too brief! I just write notes about what we did and throw some pics in. :lmao: I would start by reading other's reports so you can get an idea of what to do. Let us know who is going, prior Disney experience, and jot away! I just googled how to do write one and I couldn't find anything.

Here is my ticker.... 12 weeks and 6 days til we fly out. One school term. :yay:

Just consulted the Calendar and found its only 10 weeks and 1 day till we leave Melbourne.:cool1: seems closer when you put it into weeks alternatively its only 71 days :dance3:

I went back to "mum from oz"'s blog and signed up for the same blog.... hope it works lol

Was just popping in to see if anyone who ordered Disney tickets around the 10th-12th from Undercover Tourist had got them yet?
I see you got your Universal tickets hellosue yay!!
I checked my po box yesterday and nothing but will go and check again tomorrow. I'm trying my best to be patient :bored:

With 30 days to go - are you ready? have you started packing?

Just received Undercover Tourist "Universal/Island" tickets today 30/6/11
ordered on 12th June so approx 17 days for delivery ----- so exciting:cool1:

:cool1: I just paid the last $800 of our flights today we need some more spending money and the suitcases are all empty inside each other waiting to go to the USA and be filled :lmao:
:rolleyes1I also have to pay the travel insurance have been putting it off because we will buy a 12 month policy just incase our 2nd once in a lifetime trip turns into a third:rotfl:

:scared1: Now i am starting to think about it i still haven't got our Universal tickets yet to late to get them posted but glad yours have arrived I have been reading about the Costco ones that don't run out and am thinking about trying to get some of them but they are budgeted in to our spending money either way.:cloud9:

I read a thread on the budget board today that Walmart is giving 10c a gallon discount of fuel for the next 90 days if you buy a re-loadable gift card, I looked up the places we are going and they seem to be everywhere we are going and since we are doing over 7000 miles this trip i think it may just be a good idea:woohoo:
I  the disboards

Woohoo, my Universal, Sea World and KSC tickets from Undercover Tickets arrived today! :cheer2: I did one order on 18 June and a second on 21 June and they both arrived today so that is not long at all. Makes it all seem really real now that I have actual tickets

I know my Universal are the only real tickets I will get before my arrival it is so exciting to get mail from the US then realise its your tickets..... We are really going 65 days to go....:cheer2:

My WDW tickets are here :cheer2: So it took a little bit longer then the "17 days" but only an extra 3 days, just enough to stress me out!!!!

Am I too late to jump in and say hi? I really need to read back, but from the first post I think I'm going to be at POFQ when some of you are - we are there I think something like 20-21 Sept to 27th sept (not 100% sure, we're with a group booking and as I'm not fully in control I forget quickly lol!). Will be at DL (DRH if I have the right abbreviation) something like 16-20/21 Sept.

BTW, Hi Travelmum! (From FrangipaniRose ;) )

:cheer2::worship: YEAH ..... Congratulations... doesn't it make you feel better when they arrive. You spend all that money and just lay in waiting, hoping they turn up.... You can sit back and relax now :rotfl:

:welcome: Franrose, never too late to jump in and grab all the tricks of the trade from everyone here - that why we're all here - to gain experience and share experiences. :disrocks:

How big is your group and are what are your travel plans besides going to DW & DL ?:grouphug:

I really really need to read back and slurp up all your tips - tonight hopefully! :D (ILs arriving just about now which is cramping my Disney research style a little lol!) I have done both DL and WDW before, but it's been a while and we haven't done it as parents with kids. I want to find out about things like Halloween etc too... will have to let you guys know what we've been thinking of doing and what we've been thinking of missing (based on reviews and the fact that our kids are fairly young) and get your opinions.

HelloSue - the whole group is almost 90 people, it's a dance school here in Brisbane belonging to my DH's cousin, a contingent of students have been invited to dance at Disney and this year they've decided to do both parks. We are kind of fringe members of the group who have jumped on their tailstrings to take advantage of the group booking discounts, kwim. So it's pretty much a Disney, Disney, Disney trip (with Disney accommodation and park tickets and breakfasts as well as flights and transfers etc sorted. I think we even get a US sim card for phones as part of the deal).

Our girls are 4 & 5, we probably wouldn't have done this trip with them yet if it hadn't have been for the good deal... in fact, I haven't even told them lol! We had a previously planned (like over a year ago) family trip organised that's a cruise just two weeks before we go to the US so I really don't want them getting spoiled to be honest. (And who am I kidding, they are totally going to be spoiled.) But I don't want them feeling like trips like this every couple of weeks are something they can get used to, kwim, because it's not something we intend to do like this regularly lol.

The downside to the cruise first (if you can call a holiday of any kind a downside!!) is that in a way I haven't gotten my head around the Disney trip, also because I haven't told my kids, I've almost been in denial that we are going. It's hard because now I've decided I'm going to keep the secret (we've lasted this long so why not... just for the fun of surprising them!) and every now and again I just want to spill the beans lol. I researched "American Girl Place" in New York the other day, a supposedly amazing doll store, and all I wanted to do was tell them about it lol!

How amazing your trip sounds, can't wait to hear all your plans.
We will be in Kentucky 6 - 10 Sept then Orlando 10-29 Sept with 10-12 Universal 12-17 SeaWorld & 17-29 being at POP/DW then flying back to LA and Home to Melb.
there is a lot of us that will be at DW at the same time...

Oh yeah and keep the secret - my girls are 14 & 16 so hard to keep secrets but at 4 & 5 easier and wonderful to surprise them on the day you go to say lets go for a drive and explain at the airport where you are going.... keep us updated on when/how you let them know... how I would love my daughters to be that young again to keep up the surprises ....
