Hi! This is my very first trip report ever. I thought I would try it out to see how it goes, and to have it to look back on as I plan our adventure to Disney World this Sept. We were booked for Oct, but now with FREE DINING we will be going sooner. I am so excited about it. We didn't go last year because my DH wanted to take a break, he's really just cheap. :lmao: Anyway, we are all looking forward to it and we will be celebrating twenty years of marriage while we are there.

Here is the cast:

Here we are at Epcot two years ago. It's Mike, Lauren, Me(Carla), Michael & Lindsey.
I posted this picture somewhere else and someone said that my Dh looks like he was about to kill someone. :rotfl2: He's very sweet, he just hates to have his picture made. In fact, I only have this picture of him there. That's one thing that I have got to do this next trip.

This time we will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside. We are looking forward to that. We will also be on the dining plan so we are excited about that too. Once you do that, you become a little spoiled to it.

The main thing that I am working on now is saving money and watching for discount codes. This is my mission..... to find a great discount code, maybe even free dining if they extend it. (not holding breath) UPDATE: Found Free Dining!!!

Anyway, for those of you who are going in Sept, feel free to join me with your plans or whatnot. I would love some company while I wait....and wait... for Sept to roll around. :surfweb:

:flower3:

We are going to be driving down from Alabama. We will be staying off site our first night and checking in that Sunday, the 11th. Normally when we get there we chill for a little while and then go to DTD. It really gets us excited for the next day.

Day 1: I'm thinking that we will start at Magic Kingdom. Especially since that Monday is Columbus Day and that night Mk is having MNSSHP. I will be avoiding MK for sure that Monday. We will also be having dinner at Ohana, if I can get my ADR for that day. Back to MK for Wishes

Day 2: I will know more when the park ours are posted but as of now, our second day will be at Epcot in the morning & Hollywood Studios that night. Dinner will be at 50's Primetime Cafe.

Day3: Should be Animal Kingdom, and to Epcot for dinner at LeCellier Steakhouse. (another MNSSHP, so adjusted for that)

Day 4: Hollywood Studios and dinner at Chef Mickeys & back to a night at MK. :woohoo:

Days 5,6 & 7I am unsure of the next three days as of yet... I guess I will wait for the hours and my ADR's to make a final plan. popcorn::

A friend of mine may also be going with her two girls. She has never been before so I will have to help her plan so that should be a lot of fun. It's just so exciting. :yay:

If anyone has been there during Columbus day week and has any advice, please let me have it. :)

Here are some pictures from our last trip.

Lauren at Chef Mickeys... we fell in love with Donald Duck there. He was so very funny!

We also took Laurens best friend Shelley. They talked me into getting these suckers for them for a back rub. I never got it though. They also got the AFV t shirts at then MGM. They got to vote on funny videos. It was pretty fun.

This was my sons first kiss at 1900 Park Fare.

We won a prize from the Year of a Million Dreams. It was really fun.

Hi! :wave2:

Welcome to the World of Trip Reporting!! You're doing great so far!

Sorry we will miss you in October; we're going at the end of the month....

Kathy

Thank you!!

Oh how I wish we were going sooner, but I'll have fun planning it anyway. That's half of the fun for me.

I got one CD made today. :goodvibes I was so excited to find "Big Blue World' at iTunes. I also put "Celebrate You" on it as well. (free download at Disney site) I really like that song. It cost me 10.00 to do it though... because I had to pay my teenager to do it for me.:rotfl2: I stink when it comes to doing things like that. :upsidedow

Hi :wave2: I'm subbing. popcorn::

Plans sound fun so far. I'll be here waiting to see what you plan for the last half of your trip. :goodvibes

Hi!! I am going to try to work on it a little later today. ;) I just found out this weekend that my sister & her Dh and kids may also be going. They are waiting a little later to commit. They go almost every year but he is in real estate and times have been... well, you know. Hopefully things will turn around for a lot of people who normally go.

I am starting a diet.... today!! I am going to keep track of it on here too. I need to lose about 15-20 pounds by Oct. hopefully by Summer. I have been trying to do this for a while now, but I have not stuck to it. This time I have got to do it. Today is my daughters 11th birthday & I look like I just gave birth to her. LOL

Hi! I followed you over from my trip report. Are you avoiding MNSSHP?? It "totes rocks" to quote the kids. It looks like your plans are well under way. In fact, you are much further in your planning than I am at this point. Maybe we will run into each other while we are there!

Hi!! Yes, I am going to avoid MNSSHP, mainly because of the cost for five of us to do it. I have thought about it and it sounds like so much fun, but I am planning around it for now. It looks like they will have three of them the week that we are there. That's a bit much, if you are avoiding them and great if you are planning to attend one.:rotfl2:

My biggest goal right now is to loose weight & find a discount code. :lmao:

My biggest worry, where else to eat. I know, it's a hard life right?:lmao:

Update to plans:

Day 4: Hollywood Studios and dinner at Chef Mickeys & back to a night at MK.

Day 5: Magic Kingdom in the morning, dinner at Coral Reef and finish the day at Epcot.

Day 6:Animal Kingdom opening, then to where ever everyone wants to go. We will have dinner at 1900 Park Fare this night.

Day 7Our last full day..:sad1: Open DHS, and close MK, where we will have dinner at Crystal Palace.

Day8We are leaving today but not before we head back to MK for one last look at the World. It will be bitter sweet. We will leave after lunch. :sad2:

Now, this is the plan, however, plans always change. I still don't have the park hours yet, or the EMH. Once they come out, I will know more but for now, this sounds like a good plan for us. What do you think?

Some of the things that I am looking forward to are:

Magic Kingdom:

The Opening show
Seeing the Castle again
Splash Mtn, well all of the rides. :rotfl2:
Eating a Dole Whip
Riding the Jungle Cruise at night
Seeing the new parade

Epcot:
All of the rides, of course
Letting the kids try the Kim Possible adventure thing
Eating at LeCillier
Seeing a few shows
Shopping at Mouse Gear
Walking around the World Showcase again at night.

Hollywood Studios:
Riding Toy Story Mania for the first time
The American Idol Experience- No, I will not sing!!
R&RC - It was closed the last time we went.
ToT- ok, just one more time
A few shows and things, and a little shopping.

Animal Kingdom:

#1 The Nemo Musical, I LOVE it, and my DH has not seen it yet, so I am looking forward to that.
Expedition Everest
K Safari
KRR
FOLK, and a few other things.

I am also looking forward to going to DTD and shopping. I can't wait to eat at Ohana for the first time either. I think my family will love it. :grouphug:

Guess what! My BFF may also be going to Disney with us, with her two girls and she needs my help. How fun is this going to be? We took her daughter with us when we went in 07, and she had a ball. Here is a picture from that trip.

My BFF went to Disney on her honeymoon years ago but she never rode a single ride. They had never been before and didn't quite know what to do, so this trip should be a blast for her and her children. :goodvibes There's nothing like a trip to Disney World. It's the very best vacation in the whole wide world. :rotfl2: As my son would say; and that's a fact!

I am also planning to get a Disney Cake delivered to us at one of our Dinners. Most likely at 1900 Park Fare. I thought it would be fun to celebrate our 20 years of magic with Cinderella & the Prince. :lovestruc Is that weird or would somewhere else be better to do this?

Love you plans!

I am curious about the cake. I thought about doing that for my DH but I have read that they don't taste that great. :confused3 Hmm, I'm going to do more research!

Gee, and I thought I started early!;)
You have a beautiful family and I cannot wait for more.

Hi!!

I saw some pictures on the cake thread and I also read some reviews also and from what I have read, the cakes from the Grand Floridian Bakery are good, so I thought I would get one from there. I hope it's good, for the price of the cakes they should be. Are you thinking of getting one too? I am wanting "20 Years if Magic" on it and just a simple but pretty cake that has a little detail on it to make it special. I would do a mini wedding cake but it wont be big enough for all of us. If it were just Mike & me, I would have just had that because he is not a big sweet eater like me.

:rotfl2: I know right? :lmao: I am just trying to stay busy to keep from going crazy while I wait. Are you going anytime soon?

It's so much fun to plan, and plan some more. It's mainly me just dreaming about the trip. I have been listening to my CD and driving the kids crazy, especially my teenager. :rotfl2: I LOVE the Big Blue World song, I found it on iTunes for 99 cents. I have defiantly got my moneys worth! :woohoo:

Not quite. We're going in August and I started last month. I just updated today. I love the Big Blue World song! My dad gave me three CDs of Disney music which I downloaded onto iTunes and made a Disney playlist. I think, one morning, my grandpa might just kill me while driving me to school.
